#10 What Should I Do?
Series on the End Times, The Revelation & Christ’s Return
You ask, what can I do that will help in the last days? There are practical and spiritual things all of us can do. God has been warning us for sometime of coming doom and His judgment. Remember, all judgment first starts with the Body of Christ. We must get our own house in order to be able to do His will in this world.
I believe strongly that the San Joaquin Valley will be destroyed along with Los Angeles, and an earthquake of 10.4 or greater will happen around the Pacific Rim. It is inevitable. Scientists confirm that these scenarios will happen one day. What Revelation says about God’s judgment will happen to all of us, no matter where we live.
There is nothing you nor I can do when the final days of judgment come. That is why God tells His church to clean up your lives and proclaim, as well as, live the Gospel of Christ. We still have time to repent and ‘fight the good fight of faith’ in the Kingdom of God.
Nothing you can do will take the place of spiritual readiness in the hours/days before Christ’s return. It will be so dark—so much evil in the world, ‘No one will be able to do the works of God’ immediately before Jesus’s return— Jesus warns of this in the Gospels. Just like Satan had ‘his hour’ during the crucifixion of Christ, Satan will have ‘his hour again’ before Christ’s return.
But here are some practical transitional things we ought to be working on whether Christ comes back tomorrow or 50 years from now:
· Memorize Scripture—you might not have access to a Bible.
· Learn to prayer all types of prayers—make prayer a habit and be more thankful.
· Get anointing in your life—God’s Holy Spirit is the only thing that will sustain you during times of tribulation, persecution, and judgment—soak in His Presence.
· You will be persecuted so be prepared to move, to travel to other locations as Jesus commanded, ‘flee to the next city’. You must be mobile!
· Get self-sufficient as much as possible with growing your own food, using home remedies, get & stay out of debt, have back-up plans for your family and what to do in emergencies, and learn how to live in harsh conditions.
· Money and items of value will not help you much, but food and the ability to store food and essential life-sustaining items will be critical.
· Have a library of helpful books; you might not have access to electricity.
· Understand that unity is important—be connected to others within the Body of Christ in order to strengthen and support each other. We will need each other in these dark times.
· Do not believe ‘Christ is here or over there’, you will know when Christ appears—everyone will see him—you will not hear of His coming ‘second-hand’.
· Do not allow yourself to listen to prophets or teachers that create ‘worry or fear’. This is from the Devil not Christ. Do not be anxious or fret over what to do. God will show you and it is your spiritual readiness that will sustain you, not your abilities, intellect or money.
· Lastly, you can make it to the end—it is a promise from God.
I hope you enjoyed this series on the End Times. I have had fun writing it. May the Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ keep and enrich you until He returns!
“He comes quickly and His reward is with Him! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
