You Owe Him
Have you ever owed someone something? Of course you have and if you are a person of character you fretted over it till you repaid what you owed. We all owe people for their assistance—from opening a door for us to saving our lives.
I had a good friend, George Wood, while growing up. He saved my life while we were climbing cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean along the Central California Coast. Had he not reach up with his hand and held me from falling backward, I would have died by falling several hundred feet onto the rocks below. I owe George my life, and I am still thankful to this day for his friendship.
I owe so many people for so many things. I was not always grateful, least not grateful enough, now that I look back. We need to be thankful each day, each hour, each minute for little, as well as, for the large events in life to individuals assisting us.
On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, I cried in thankfulness to God. God heard my cry for mercy and His will to be done. God took me at my word and enacted His will. I prayed without stopping for weeks. I prayed with earnest, with sweat and turmoil, and in the Spirit. I knew His will and I prayed that His will would come to pass.
On Tuesday afternoon around 2pm, God spoke to me and said, “Trump is winning.” I walked a few more steps and He said it again. I did not know what to say, but I was willing to wait and see for myself on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday morning, Alonna—my wife, told me who had won the Presidential Election, Donald Trump. I immediately began to cry! I kept telling God that I was thankful. ”Thank you God,” I kept saying this over and over again…with tears, with joy, with gratefulness! “Thank you God for keeping your word, for showing mercy to your church, for answering all my prayers…thank you for ‘Who you are’!”
I know it is not over. There is still much that God wants to do—there is a lot to intercede for and overcome, but I am ready to do my part regarding this election.
Let me explain how this works. God does something for you…you want it to last…you must be thankful! I owe God. Yes, I owe Him for what He has done. This was not a small matter and it is time the Bride of Christ has peace and prosperity in America.
I will be thankful and all the power of darkness will not be able to take away what the Lord has done for me. All who were praying and looking for His will to be done let’s be thankful together and praise His great name.
God’s wisdom showed me His will, with faith I prayed His will, and in righteousness God heard my cry for His will to be done. “The prayer of a righteous person completes/causes the will of God to happen,” the Bible says.
Yes, I owe God, and it is in my response of thankfulness that the Lord fulfills His promises today and into tomorrow.
The Lord has spoken, “Be thankful, be wise, and be righteous—we owe Him.”
