100 Days of Prayer & Intercession

Article #2

Set the Tone—Inauguration Day for 45 President Donald Trump after more than a year of campaigning 26 primary and general election debates and countless press conferences, attack ads, victory speeches, public apologies, and early morning twitter rants, Donald Trump’s inauguration was today. He lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by almost 2.9 million votes but won by the Electoral College system in which 2 Texas GOP electors went rogue and did not vote for Trump. Three questions:

o Were our prayers answered?

o Is God’s Hand in this?

o Whom do we put our Trust and Faith in now?

Inauguration Day 1.20.2017–First 100 Days: Scriptures to Pray:

Pray for the kings and everyone who is in Authority so that we can live a quiet and peaceful life in complete godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2.2 Franklin Graham’s Inaugural Prayer. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Matt 24:6 NIV We are in a War of Ideas, but do not be alarmed.

And He will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is his treasure. Isaiah 33.6 NASB He will be the stability of our volatile times. In him is great wealth and true treasure. The essence of true courage is to believe and live in God’s Truth!

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation; in quietness and trust is your strength” Isaiah 30.15 NIV Do these things: 1. Return to the Lord and repent 2. Rest in his salvation and plan 3. Remain quiet and wait calmly 4. Trust and maintain confidence in our Sovereign Lord. We trust whom we know. We must know God to trust him.

God has His plan, as well as the politicians; and we find him reminding them when intoxicated with their own cleverness, that He also is wise (Isa.31:2). In him we can be at peace, even in the rushing tides of politics, dropping anchor deep in his promises: that God has His own law and time for everything. Bring our conduct into harmony with his reasonable and gracious plan. The Expositor’s Bible

"Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: (7 steps of Faith)

1. Build houses and live in them.

2. Plant gardens and eat their produce.

3. Marry, have sons and daughters.

4. Help your children marry Godly spouses, have children; increase do not decrease.

5. Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you.

6. Pray to the LORD on its behalf, for its welfare is your welfare.

7. Do not listen to the false prophets for they lie, I did not send them!

Jeremiah 29:4-9 EVS God gave some very clear direction to his worried people in the foreign land of Babylon. It was remarkably practical and down to earth. They were to trust God and keep living life. It is our responsibility to believe and to live in these truths each day; to get up and go to work

I pray for the welfare of our nation, the states and cities where our feet hit the ground, and for our families, for daily Godly wisdom, guidance, and protection for our leaders and members to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure.” Ps 122.6 NIV

I am the true vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:1,5,7,8,11 NASU (Prayers are Underlined) By Otis and Sue Davis
