The Refresh Button

The Refresh Button

Does God refresh? You bet He does! Read these Scriptures:

Psalms “Sing unto the Lord a new song.”

Isaiah “New things I declare, says the Lord.”

Matthew “Kingdom of God—things new an old.”

Galatians “A new person in Christ.”

Revelation “Give you a new name” and “I make all things new.”

I was walking my dogs through the canyon this morning and God said to me, “Ask that I refresh your life”. Often we get complacent or get use to the things of God becoming ordinary or stale. We become boring to the Lord. We are no longer excited about what God has either done for us or placed in our lives. In Christ, this does not have to take place.

There are gifts, callings, God’s grace, His mercy and countless anointings God has given to each of us, yet we allow them to become plain, worn-out, old, spoiled, dry, trite, uninteresting, flat, or dull. We mishandle the things of God if they do not stay new and refreshed in our lives.

It is time to hit the ‘refresh button’ of God’s promises in your life, just like you tell your computer, TV, or smartphone to refresh. It is just that easy. Say, “Hey God refresh my life! Refresh____?___in my life. God make your things new in my life that you have given to me. Keep me fresh and alive in Christ for your glory alone. Yes, make all things new!”
