Are you blessed?

Are You Blessed?

Psalm 24 is such a great psalm about Jesus Christ. King David looked forward to Christ with such clarity that it often dwarfs our efforts in looking back to Christ himself over 2000 years ago. Oh, how blind we are and living in darkness and confusion. God in His great love has done everything for us, and yet we ignore the obvious and His wonderful gifts to us.

My guess is that few of us read the 24th Psalm because we spend more time reading the 23rd Psalm—what a mistake. It is in the 24th Psalm that we find blessing and sanctification. Did you know that God blessed and sanctified what He had made during creation even though He said what He had “made is good”. God knew that just because He made something that is good, it still needed to be blessed and sanctified.

When you make something or do something that is good and right, do you leave it alone, or do you bless and sanctify it? It takes more than doing what is right and just, it takes blessing and sanctification for anything to be complete.

Let’s start asking for blessing and sanctification after God does something for us, and everything He gives to us. Better yet, when we do anything good, right, just, or pure—let’s ask God to bless and sanctify it. It is time to have the very best of God in our lives by “asking for His blessing and sanctification” over everything He gives or does for us.

It is time to read and believe in Psalm 24:

1 The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the floods. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek your face, O Jacob. Selah. 7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be you lift up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O you gates; even lift them up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
