Are You Free? (Part 2)

How do you know when Satan no longer has a hold on your life? Jesus said in the Gospel of Luke 4: 18-19 (AKJV): The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

You have to answer these statements in order to know if Satan is running your life or if you have found the freedom that is offered freely in Christ.

1. Do you feel the need to control every situation or person in order to be at peace?

2. Does the manifestation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit frighten you?

3. When you are praying to God to intervene in a problematic situation, are you thinking how/what you need to do to solve it?

4. Are you angry with God for not…?

5. Do you tell God, “I didn’t do anything wrong!”

6. Do you believe that God does not see what you’re doing?

7. Are you satisfied with what you have or do you want more and more?

8. Do you make excuses to yourself for not praying or reading the Bible?

9. Do believe that Jesus is coming back, just not today?

10. Does saying the name of Jesus embarrass you or does the name of Jesus put a smile on your face?

We all want to be free but rarely are we free in Christ to experience all Jesus has given or provided for us. Jesus wants us to be free and His ministry on earth was an example for all generations to have—a life free from the domination and control of Satan. Freedom—it’s free to us all ‘in the asking’. This is why Jesus is alive for us today!
