Just How Important Is It Anyway?

How Important Is It Anyway?

“Just how important is prayer? It is such a simple thing to pray and there are many more important things I should be doing as a Christian.” Well, let’s answer your question. Here are some facts about pray:

Daniel was a man of prayer—he opened his window facing Jerusalem and prayed three times each day, even when it was against the law and he knew he could be placed in jail for praying. Yet, God honored his prayers.

King David was also a man a prayer but he sang his prayers to God. He combined his prayer life with his praise life. And, God said, “He (David) was a man after God’s own heart.”

Jesus was always going off by himself and would pray into the late hours of the night always away from everyone else. Before He was crucified, He spent the time in prayer.

The Apostle Paul commanded us to, “Pray without ceasing”—to be always in a state of prayer and ready to pray at a moment’s notice; see what God can do with a man of prayer.

So do we need to pray—yes! The Bible says God keeps all of our prayers in heaven always before where God is—they are never lost or forgotten. Prayers are that important to God!

So when God moves upon us or asks us to pray, we ought not to take it lightly. These three things God has asked me to ask you to pray about in the last couple of weeks. Here they are once again:

1. To pray for the Presidency of the United States and ask God to give Mr. Trump the 3rd Chapter of Psalms. We must be asking for our President’s protection and judgment upon his enemies.

2. Take the challenge of 50 days of prayer for 51 Capitals starting this week. We must be asking God to send the Holy Spirit to move over and in our State and National Capitals. If we would pray God would begin to heal our land.

3. All of you who have the calling and spirit of the ministry of Elijah and Elisha you need to be praying for God to move over our nation. Starting on the East Coast and continuing to the West Coast. It is time for God’s Spirit to be poured out like heavy rain and flooding upon America. It will happen if you have passion and expectation, looking to God to fulfill His promises.

This is why we pray—not for ourselves but for God’s will to be done. Can you pray? Let’s do what Jesus would want us to do—PRAY!
