The Jesus Crisis

The Jesus Crisis

We have a ‘Jesus Crisis’ in America. Yes, we know about Jesus but not the Jesus who is “the same yesterday, today, and forever.” My soul cries within me for the Church. Jesus will end up saying, “I never knew you” to church members who did the works of the Holy Spirit but did not see Jesus through the eyes of love with their whole hearts.

The Jesus Crisis is the single most troubling problem for today’s church. Oh, we know the Jesus of the New Testament but the words of Jesus spoken while He walked this earth seem to fall on deaf ears. Indeed, the Jesus of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which was written by John the Apostle in the last book of the Bible, The Revelation of Saint John the Divine, is not the Jesus that most of the Church worship.

It is that Jesus, the ‘Jesus of forever’, which is missing today in America. Do not say, “I believe in Jesus,” “I do the works of the Holy Spirit,” “I am not like other Christians.” Rather, begin to cry—cry with such sincerity and passion. You must go off by yourself with no one around and cry for your own sins, unbelief, and lack of knowledge. Cry for others that also have not found the Jesus of forever. Do not stop crying till the Holy Spirit finishes God’s work of repentance in your life.

It is this Jesus that we must find, “And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the middle of the seven candlesticks one like to the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breasts with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like to fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand on me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” The Revelation, 1:12-18.

Yes Church, you are in a ‘Jesus Crisis’ and only through great crying, the search for repentance, and the washing of the blood of Jesus Christ that you can find healing and forgiveness. It is this Jesus, the Forever Jesus, which we must find. The Spirit Says Come! Our spirits must reply and say, “Yes Lord, I come!”
