Being in Love
Have you ever been in love? I mean real love. Love so great it drives you crazy. Your heart is driving you to wanting more and more. I have been there. I fell in love with my wife. In fact, I would fall in love with her over and over again every 2-3 months when we first got married. She would do something stupid, something that got my attention, and I would fall for her once again. This happened all the time during the first 3 to 4 years of our marriage.
I thought that God could never, no ever be able to love me like Alonna first loved me. However, I was wrong. God not only does and can love you like no other, but His love is 10 no 100 times greater. Jesus loves me with so much passion and intensity that all the love I have felt in this world seems minor to His.
This act of falling in love with Jesus is critical in the last days. You nor I will never be able to with stand the wrath of the Lamb that is coming on the earth. Our only hope of escaping His judgment is to be in love with Jesus and staying in love with Him.
Being in love with Christ is much more than when you were saved—when you accepted Him as your savior and Lord. This love comes to us in the most unlikely ways and usually though great forgiveness and finding great mercy (this is how King David stayed in love with God).
The Holy Spirit moves us to repentance and when we respond to God (this is your faith in action) and begin to accept His forgiveness, we begin to change who we are because of Him—this love seems to take over our very lives. It is exactly like falling in love; exactly when I fell in love with my wife over and over again.
I want you to make heaven your home and become ready for Christ’s return. We must be in love with Him. Not a love that is casual or minimal but a love that moves the very ground we walk on. A love that moves us to talk and be in His presence every moment of the day. Let’s reach for this love, long for this kind of love, and refuse to accept anything but the very best God’s love has to offer.
