Light & Darkness
Turning the switch on—all the time
Have you ever been in a forest when there was absolutely no light? I have; it was so dark you could not see where to walk. In our forests far from city lights, when there is a cloud cover over us, not allowing light to shine from the stars or moon, it is so dark it is scary.
Darkness is real. Those of you who have experienced darkness understand the power of darkness. It stymie’s us to the point of inability to do anything. This is how darkness works. It stops us from any sort of action. Without light overcoming darkness we would not exist because we could not live—no light, no life.
Jesus told us to be as lights in a dark world. We must allow out light to shine and dispel darkness. It is a command; a law from Christ.
However, we have control over the light within us. We can keep it ‘on’ or turn it ‘off’. So many church going Christians allow their light to shine when it is convenient for them. When they go to church or meet with other Christians their light shines. They are only religious when it is to their advantage or for personal reasons.
You are no good to God when you control the light within you. Your light is to shine all the time. I suggest you keep your hand away from the light switch that controls your light. Do not dim your light and do not turn it off. Rather, be an ‘on fire’; a ‘light producing Christian’ all the time.
If you light does not shine, Jesus said you are ‘good for nothing’ and the world will trample you to death. God will not judge you, but people will destroy you (Matthew 5:12-16).
Be a world changer and people motivator by being a light produce. Let the ‘fire of God’ light up your life, thereby becoming different and unique because the fire of God lights up your life. It is just that simple—fire produces light. This is the Holy Spirit and Fire within us lighting up the world!
