Things You Should Not Do, but God Says Do It!
It is important that Christians do not just react to history but allow Jesus to create history. This is part of the mandate Christ gave to the Church. The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ states plainly that it is God who is in control of the future of mankind and the events that take place on the earth.
As I told you before, a Spirit of Joy has left the earth and the coronavirus is a test. This is obvious and Satan plays a large part in our testing. Just because we are being tested does not mean something is wrong with us or Satan has a free reign over our lives. We must be tested, and world events will more and more become a battle between the Body of Christ and Satan. Get ready to fight for the truth and be bold in the liberty of the Gospel of Christ.
My question is, “Why have you allowed Jesus to become a non-essential in our culture?” Thousands of people a day can walk through any Walmart and yet a few hundred individuals (or even less) cannot meet together to worship Christ for an hour—where is your boldness? I can tell you boldly that these are the day of Gideon; read Judges chapter 6 to understand what Gideon had to go through and the decisions he made.
How about a lesson in religious history, let history be your guide.
1. During the time of Gideon, the people of Israel were quarantined and placed under lockdown by the Midianites. Gideon had to disobey the laws of the land and God told him that he was a “mighty man of valor” and used him to deliver Israel.
2. Martin Luther disobeyed the Catholic Church (which controlled all political institutions) and nailed the 95 Thesis to the church door stating all the reasons why he could no longer obey the oppressive laws thus initiated the beginning the Reformation.
3. David Wilkerson politically protested the treatment of the youth of New York City being arrested by the police, and God blessed his efforts which began Teen Challenge Ministry.
4. Azusa Street Revival began in 1906 when a black minister, having only sight in one eye disobeyed laws of segregation in L.A. and God through William Seymour started the Pentecostal Movement.
5. David disobeyed the priestly laws and ate the ‘blessed bread’ (him and his band of warriors) which was only for the temple priests, and God counted it as a righteous act on David’s part.
6. Jesus touched and healed anyone who was a leper which was against the biblical law/Old Testament laws. His boldness is our example remembering the Scriptures to “lay hands on the sick and they shall be healed.”
7. The early church preached and worshipped Jesus even though it was against the Roman and Jewish Laws willing to be persecuted and criticized.
It is indeed time to disobey, protest, and do what Jesus would do in the 21st Century.
