Distracted by Satan

Satan Has Distracted You—Church

The Christian Church has been distracted by the virus. It allowed Jesus to be marginalized as well as disregarded its calling to be a light in the world. How did it do this? It is easy to cave into political and media pressure when the power of the Holy Spirit is not in operation in local church bodies.

Months before the virus began to affect America I stated that God was calling all of us to a season of repentance, prayer, and asking for forgiveness. We were to search our hearts and see if there are any wickedness in our lives. The wisdom of Jesus in Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” We are to be in a constant state of repentance, brokenness, and contriteness. The Holy Spirit will always find things in our lives that need repentance and fixing. This is the very first quality every Christian should have based on the teachings of Christ.

Also, I wrote that Mark chapter 16 was to be the chapter for the church for the coming year. This chapter was written to be a calling to all disciples of Christ to truly believe and remove all doubt from our hearts so we might act like believers. Mark 16 verses 17-18: And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” If you are a believing Christian then these signs are manifested in your life.

The Church should have been on the front line fighting the virus instead of being afraid of failure and ridiculed by the media for the belief that Jesus could and will heal all those who have the virus. What a miserable failure of our churches. Why have they failed in this time of great need? What stopped the church from offering the promise by being the Body of Christ?

The answer is found in John 2:13–16, “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” Our churches have become a business and pastors watch their ‘bottom-line’ more than the manifestation of the Gospel of Christ. Christianity has become a business just like went on in the temple of God in Jesus’s day. The Scripture is now fulfilled, Book of Daniel 5:27, which I have listed for you from multiple versions of the Bible:

Tekel: Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

tekel; thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

‘tekel’—you have been weighed on the scales [of righteousness] and found deficient;

tekel,You are weighed in the balances and are found wanting;

Tekel; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

‘Tekel’ means that you have been weighed on the balance and found deficient.

tekelmeans that you’ve been weighed on the scales, and you don’t measure up.

‘T’kel’ — you are weighed on the balance-scale and come up short.

These are the times of trial sent by God to try His people and see if they will measure up to the righteousness in Christ. No matter how you state what God means it is simply, “We have no righteousness, and if we did, we would have responded to the virus in a different way.”

We became distracted by Satan, by looking to money to measure our success and not to works of righteousness (works that define our belief system in Christ), “They will place their hands-on sick people, and they will get well.”

The church is producing works of the ‘antichrist’ rather than the works of Jesus Christ. We need to repent quickly, ask God for wisdom and power, and attack the works of the devil. This is what Jesus would have done rather than hiding behind a mask of social justice and medical assistance.
