Simple Truth #3 There is a spiritual component in everything
Good or bad, there is a spiritual component in everything. What we do, what we say, what we think, what we write, what we decide, what we try to do, and what we fail to do. All of creation has a spiritual component that can guide us in what we make, our attitudes, every motive, our plans, and how we accomplish them. God has made everything to respond either favorably or rejecting Him through the spiritual aspects of what, how, when, and why we do what we do.
Furthermore, and without debate, we are made for relationships and that has a spiritual component as well, either for good or for bad. You and I cannot avoid this truth. There is nothing in all that is that does not include a choice and therefore a spiritual aspect. Spiritual components are like a two-edged sword. No matter how you swing it, it cuts and produces results.
There are choices (decisions) before us all the time. You have a choice and Satan cannot stand in your way of making that choice—you must exercise your choice in everything you do. Satan wanted Christ to choose him when He was tempted in the wilderness during His 40 days of fasting. No matter who you are or what you are doing there is always ‘a choice’ before you. How you handle your spiritual component/your spiritual dilemma/your choice never goes away. You are always destined to choose, and that choice reflects on your spiritual condition. It is important to “choose wisely”, we hear this time and time again, and it is even more critical in these last days.
As the Bible states, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision” Joel 3:14.
There are consequences for all our decisions and choices and your choice always has a spiritual component that supports your outcome for either good or evil. This is why, God gave us Jesus so we could have positive results to what we decide and good can be on our side. Do not forget the man who came to Jesus having 2000 demons. People tried to restrain him, Satan was always tempting him, yet he chose to approach Jesus. He had a choice no matter what, and Satan along with the people could not restrain him. This is a story worth reading—a good choice with positive outcomes; it is always ‘good overcoming evil’ whenever you read the Bible. Mark 5:1-20
