Got more love than you hate?

Who Do You Love & How Well?

Indeed, love changes all things. Without love, there is little hope in this life to find purpose or peace. Love can make all things that are intrinsically good and wholesome to be productive in one’s life. Yet today’s Christians are striving to find meaning in this world outside of God’s love, this will never work and the world does not have any answers for God’s church.

Love is a ‘two-way street’ to be meaningful and effective. Love is supposed to inspire good actions and wholesome motives. Without love in any type of relationship, there is ‘no relationship’. There are many levels of love and reasons for loving others, but it is only in Christ will one finds complete, full, and honest love with all the attributes that create life and gives one purpose for living.

Furthermore, this is why Jesus said, “Let the dead bury the dead.” Everything is dead where there is no love, and love cannot be found outside of Jesus Christ. Jesus implied that you are dead without love in your life, and yet the world offers love through money, sex, inflated self-esteem, and qualifying oneself to be better than those around you. I consider this to be “the blind leading the blind”. Worldly love is a lie; people who choose to follow after false love will never find hope, joy, or meaning in their successes.

In today’s America, hate has become the motive for combating the lack of love. From national media to our local schools, one can find the justification to hate. It will not be long until it will not only be socially correct to hate ‘everything’ Christian, but it will become illegal to mention or even offer a Christian response or gesture to any situation or person. Christ will become the cause of everything wrong with society. It will be ‘the right and proper response’ to kill Christians and destroy churches that offer Jesus as the answer to any problem in America. It is coming quicker than anyone imagined.

Christians will have to respond to their enemies as they respond to their friends. Love compels us to ‘pray for our enemies’ as well as, speak ‘blessings on our enemies’. Too many Christians want and think they will ‘make-it’ to heaven by just believing in Christ. Christ will say to those, “I never knew you!”

The bottom line to love is, is found in the words of Jesus, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” This is the measuring stick to your love. If you love Jesus, you will begin to love others as well. Hate destroys everything, this is what Satan wants, but love that comes to us through Jesus Christ will overpower the darkness of Satan and bring hope and joy to a world that is crying out for a Christianity that brings miracles and healing to a world full of hate. If you want to love Jesus better, you will love those around you well.
