Having the Mind of Christ
Having the ‘Mind of Christ’ operating in one’s life can only be effective if you follow the path to ‘walking by faith’. No faith no Mind of Christ!
The Bible is clear in what prohibits our faith from working or engaging in the purposes and activities of God. There are a few simple steps one can take to increase the activity of one’s faith in response to what God wants to do or promises to do in any given situation. Having the Mind of Christ in your life will help you do the will of God, thereby being called by God “a person of faith”. Want to be a person of faith having your name mentioned with the great people of faith in Hebrews chapter 11, get the mind of Christ?
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men,” Philippians 2: 1-3 KJV.
The word “let” is critical! Let means “choosing, making a decision” is the first step; allowing the mind of Christ to operate in your life. This is an action-step of faith—"I choose, I make a decision” for the purposes and action plans of God to take place. Second step, knowing/believing that it is possible to do the works of God in this world (God’s purposes and action plans). Third step, one must humble oneself. Do not lift yourself up or try to become a somebody when you humbled yourself and became a nobody. If you want a good reputation don’t expect the mind of Christ to work in you. The apostle Paul did not take any glory away from God, he did not take any of God’s glory for himself. Paul only gloried in the sufferings and persecutions he experienced. This is where the Mind of Christ is the greatest and the purposes and activities are manifested in our lives to the fullest—humility.
Let’s move from being mindless to faithfulness—operating with the Mind of Christ alone, giving all glory and praise to Jesus Christ—this is true faith in action!
