About

Dr. Steven J. Wentland, a builder of people, makes this statement when beginning a lecture, “Life is simply a series of choices and decisions and actions… what you do today, reflects who you will be tomorrow.”

Hi, my name is Steven John Wentland, the son of John Wentland, born and raised in Fresno, California. That is all you really need to know about me, but here are some little known facts about me such as: my nick name in college was ‘goose’ named after the TV commercial for Granny Goose potation chips, or I was the first non-Lutheran to attend Luther Seminary in Adelaide, Australia, or I can play the double bass while laying on my back. But, I am sure that would only confuse your thought processes. That is why I formulated some facts, personal beliefs, and individual comments about me in order to help you know Steve, that’s me. Enjoy!

I have been a born-again and spirit filled Christian for over 50 years. I have served Christ continuously while experiencing four personal spiritual revivals during this time. The past fifteen years God has dramatically affected my life with knowledge, commitment, servant-hood, and calling.  Never have I felt the need to be a better husband & father, leader & writer, marketplace-evangelist, and acknowledging that I am an unworthy servant of Christ more than any other time in my life.

God has caused me to hear His voice clearer, serve Him through persecution, and desire Him more than any other time in my life. I do not know where God is always taking me, but I am more in love with Christ than ever before.  Christ has said to me “Come and follow me”—I am determined to answer that call.

Here are some aspects of my Christian philosophy:

Mankind is in constant turmoil and flux. In the past, we looked to our social, political and business leaders for answers. Today, our leaders struggle to find solutions for a better tomorrow.

Our hope can only come from within, i.e. from values and beliefs built on spiritual laws. Truth demands that we travel such a road…a road that gives of ourselves rather than simply supplying answers of money, laws, or organizational knowledge. Rather we must begin…

To share with others in the Spirit of truth, hope and love.

To help organizations focus their goals toward biblical principles.

To serve, freely giving, asking nothing in return.

To strength little children to national leaders as they strive to do their best.

To offer healing to a hurting, confused world.

To view all of mankind as created equal before God.

To strive for God’s perspective in every circumstance.

To affirm that God is who He says He is, and God will do what He says He will do.
