A letter from David Houser to the Body of Christ

Prophetic Leaders in California:

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! About a month ago, I had a dream like nothing I have ever had before. I was in the Presence of God and I asked the Lord, “Is there any way a city can be won for Jesus?” It was really a statement of frustration. Immediately, the Lord spoke to me and said; “Yes!” I asked the Lord, “How can this be done?” He said, “If the Spiritual Leaders of the city will break and cast down the Spirit of Violence, I can transform a city.”

I then asked God, “How do we do that?” He said, “Find at least 5 churches or leaders who will intercede to cast this stronghold down.” Next in my dream, I was with a pastor friend telling him what God had said to me, but what made this dream unusual was, there was a voice behind him saying, don’t believe a word that he (David /myself ) was saying.

I then awakened and called this Pastor and told him about my dream. He said he couldn’t believe it, because he was just talking to other leaders about the rampant violence in his city, especially among the gangs.

I shared this dream with the local Christian radio station. They said, “We believe this is God.” They have now given me 6 radio slots called “Pray for Your City.”

I now have a State Senator on board as we begin to intercede for Sacramento.

I then turned on the news, I saw Pastor Corey Brooks who is on a roof for a hundred days on the Southside of Chicago raising money to build a youth center for gang members who are killing each other and innocent bystanders.

I called him and we began to talk. I told him what he is doing is a wonderful thing, but he needed to gather Pastors to intercede to cast down the violence in the city. I heard the Lord say to me, if we would pray for Chicago that He would intervene for us!!! I hope those reading this letter are not voices who are saying, “don’t believe that God can change a city!”

I am planning to take 5 Pastors to Chicago to pray over the Pastors there and to speak life into them, and ask God to tear down the Spirit of Violence reigning over the Southside of Chicago.

I felt the Lord say to bring checks totaling $5,000. They were to be made out to Project Hood, not to my ministry but to Project Hood. Just like the Apostle Paul raised money to help other members of the Body of Christ.

If there is a ring of truth in what I am saying, confirmed by the Holy Spirit, please make checks out to Project Hood and send to 7180 Sloughhouse Rd. Elk Grove, California 95624. We will present these checks to Pastor Corey Brooks. We are going the 2nd week of March. My phone number is 626-215-8775. My wife and I are the Regional Directors of the Sacramento Healing Rooms and Staff Pastors at Oasis Church in Rancho Cordova, California.

Blessings on all of you,

Pastors David and Glendae Hauser

God’s Strategy: There Are No Tomorrows

Jesus’s teachings often fall on deft ears. We work so hard to make this life important, but it is ‘the life’ we find in Christ that is important and it does not contain worrying or thinking about tomorrow.

God does not have tomorrows as you and I consider tomorrows in this world—there are only todays. Hebrews 3: 7-15: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years. Therefore, I was angry with that generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.’ So, I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ” Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” God is speaking today and every today, not tomorrow.

Jesus warned us not to consider tomorrow. He of course told us of things that were to come upon the earth, but that was for our patience and comfort so we would not faint or become discouraged. It is today and will always be today that the Holy Spirit is working in our lives and teaching us.

To love this world or love the things in this world will only cause one pain and unbelief. This world is being destroyed, not by man or his machines and technologies, but by the purposes and will of God the Father. Man can never destroy what God has created, only God can do that.

Only the foolish think that Mark of the Beast is a physical sign, if only you were not blind you would see the Mark of the Beast on so many people in this world. Sure, there might be physical signs, but Satan has been working in this world ever since Christ was crucified at Calvary and risen from the dead by God. As the Apostle John stated in I John 2:18: “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

God is not going to save this world, nor will time continue as we know it. “All will pass away, and all things will become new” just as the Bible says. So, let’s stop thinking that we will always have a tomorrow…it is today and only today that we need to be faithful in our walk with Christ. Do not wait for tomorrow, for tomorrow will have plenty of evil, as Jesus stated, but let us be faithful today, believe today, receive God’s miracles today, and help our neighbor today.

Today is the Day of the Lord, let us be glad and rejoice in it!

Make today and every today the Day of the Lord!

All in?

by Steve, the son of John

It’s the Holy Spirit’s Turn

I am amazed that there is so little said about the Holy Spirit in these last days. There is more emphasis on the proper dog food one should feed one’s dog over the role and job description of the Holy Spirit.

As Jesus stated in the Gospels, the Holy Spirit will come, and He alone will direct God’s people into all truth (the emphasis on all). John 16:13, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

We are simply ignorant and yet we think we are so smart. At times I think I should start a new blog called: ‘Hey Fool! Got Wisdom?’ Wisdom is all around us, yet we follow what the world and often the media tells, and disregard what God has given to us through Jesus.

The charismatic movement prides itself on understanding the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit, and yet it cannot tell me the job description of the Holy Spirit. Got mercy, got wisdom, got power; all you need is the Holy Spirit? All of the work of the Holy Spirit is references in this verse: John 16:8-11, “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.”

What is now upon us, the beginning of the end, is found alone in the Holy Spirit and His operation in the Body of Christ. He brings to us the Father and the Son—their will, their words, and their Glory, for all to see in these last days.

If you want more of Jesus, you better be accepting of the working of the Holy Spirit in your life. Want more of God the Father and His ultimate control over all the earth, you better get connected and under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

It is the Holy Spirit alone that is going to bring all of the Father and the Son to us. He knows no retreat and knows no middle ground. To the Holy Spirit, you are all in or totally out (reference this story in the book, The Acts of the Apostles chapter 5:1-11: The sudden deaths of Ananias and Sapphira are among the scariest events in the Bible, a terrifying reminder that God will not be mocked. While their penalties seem extreme to us today, God judged them guilty of sins).

Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge, he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet. Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him. About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?” “Yes,” she said, “that is the price.” Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events. (NIV)

During this month of February, as God to give the fulness of the Holy Spirit!

Repentance & Redemption

Jan 31, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

How Much Mercy Do You Want?

(from Repentance to Redemption)

It is only through repentance that one finds redemption. The greater the repentance the greater one is cleansed. The more one is made clean the greater the joy one receives. Jesus said, “Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little” (Luke 7:47). The choice is up to you; how much forgiveness do you want?

The Holy Spirit’s job (one of many of His job descriptions) is to convict of sin—to bring repentance and the forgiveness of sin. You can count on the Holy Spirit to do this and anyone who has experienced God’s forgiveness knows this and has experienced this. There is nothing like God cleaning up one’s life, and the experience of feeling the Holy Spirit in one’s like washing away your sin and making one feel clean and whole—there is nothing like this on earth!

The question is, “How many and what types of sins are you willing the Holy Spirit to clean out of your life.” Let’s list the major categories of sin:

ü The general everyday types of sins recorded in the Ten Commandments.

ü Your secret sins that only you know about (King David references these in Psalms).

ü Sins you do not even recognize or know about, but God knows them—these are sins that only the Holy Spirit can find (King David also spoke of these).

ü The sins of apathy—when you looked the other way and did not help someone.

ü Your sins that impacted others—I call these community sins.

ü Sins of comparing yourself to others.

ü Not being grateful or thankful to God.

ü Being fearful or worried and getting stressed out about tomorrow’s events when you cannot know or change what is about to happen tomorrow.

ü Not praying for others, not blessing your enemies, or scheduling time for whoever God brings your way each day to take care of them or assist them.

ü Not looking for Christ’s return each day you’re ‘alive and kicking’ on earth.

ü Last of all, not sharing the ‘Good-news’ of Jesus Christ to others whenever the chance arises.

These are the sins that the Holy Spirit wants to rid your life of. These sins keep us from God and make us unable from doing God’s will or live a life of faith. So, what are you waiting for? Begin to allow and ask the Holy Spirit to do His job and when He begins to clean you up, do not reject His leading and the sorrow He stirs in your life. It is through repentance and often with much crying that sin is taken away and a new heart and a whole life begin in you. Redemption is just a prayer and often tears away!

The Abrahams of 2022

Jan 30, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

2022 is yours for the taking

As I stated in my previous article, this month has been an active month for God and me. God has been hammering on me to listen to Him. The Holy Spirit would not let me read any other book of the Bible but the Book of Joel. To say the least, I learned a lot!

When you read a book 20 plus times you begin to understand what God is trying to say to His Church. Christ is coming back, and it will not be nice. God is in control, and He wants all of creation to make a choice either for Him or for Satan.

There will be no grey area as there is today—either accept Christ and be saved or be on the receiving end of the ‘wrath of the Lamb’. It will not be a time of peace and joy unless you have decided to be on God’s team and accept His activities on the earth.

As I stated yesterday, God is releasing the tears of Christ as a flood over the earth, but it is not a general washing of tears but a strategic and specific washing. God is sending Christ tears back to earth to bring repentance and redemption, but you must decide, receive, and expect.

As I wrote in yesterday’s article, “Christ’s tears would bring great repentance—Christ was crying because of our sin and unbelief. Jesus’ ministry also included Him crying over the earth for people to confront their unbelief and overcome their sin. Jesus’s tears were shed through His love for us, just as a parent, cries over their children.”

My question to you is, “Are there any more Abrahams, Issacs, or Jacobs in this modern world?” God is looking for fathers that will once again become leaders who live by faith, discovering and doing the will of God in their generation. This is what God is planning and what He wants from His people. Are you such a person? Are you a person of faith?

People of faith…”Do not live in fear and worry as the media and political groups want us to do. We need not worry but have hope and patience that ‘with God, there are no surprises and nothing Satan does through the lives of our leaders will deter God’s purposes and will for you.”

Become that Abraham of 2022; let the tears of Christ, the tears He cried over you, bring repentance from unbelief and personal sin. Rise up ‘person of faith’ and redeem the year 2022 by becoming part of the Body of Christ that fulfills all the promises of God and every verse of the Bible.

2-2-22 through 2-22-22

Jan 29, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Urgent! A must-read, now!

This month has been an active month for God and me. I have been bombarded with the Holy Spirit getting my attention in unusual ways. It all started with a simple truth God sent my way.

At the beginning of the month, I was driving, by myself in my Chev-truck, listening to music and praying. Out of the blue, God says to me, “I am releasing the tears of my Son which I have kept as ‘waters behind a dam’.” I was taken by surprise and began to cry. I cried for over 30 minutes, I could not emotionally get a handle on what God said He was going to do and why. What is the purpose of God in making such a statement to me?

Jesus’s tears! God has kept them in heaven waiting for a time to release them on earth. The vision that came with God’s voice was as if God is opening up the dam of heaven and Jesus’s tears were flowing over the dam’s spillway upon the earth.

His tears would bring great repentance—Christ was crying because of our sin and unbelief. Jesus’ ministry also included Him crying over the earth for people to confront their unbelief and overcome their sin. Jesus’s tears were shed through His love for us, just as a parent, cries over their children.

When will this happen/begin from 2-2-22 through 2-22-22? What is the significance of all the “2’s”, it is as Jesus stated in the Gospels and the Book of Revelation says, God’s witness shall go forth in twos?

Also, it began with four-2s and ends in five-2s—from the impact on people (number 4) to the creation of the five ministries (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers).

Numbers are very important in the Bible, and we will see the importance of 2, 4, and 5—their significance in the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God.

You need for the next 5-days ‘call for a solemn assembly,’ humble yourself, pray, seek Jesus, and give up your sin through repentance. Give up some type of food you really like, pray more often, ask to see Jesus more clearly in Scripture, and give up any sin you have been struggling with. Take the step of faith and respond to what God is about to do.

Do not live in fear and worry as the media and political groups want us to do. We need not worry but have hope and patience that ‘with God, there are no surprises’ and nothing Satan does through the lives of our leaders will deter God’s purposes and will for you.

God is on the move, and we must be watchmen, standing on the wall, using the wisdom of Christ to overcome all that is wrong and evil.

Patience in 2022

Jan 1, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Seven Character Traits for 2022

Personal observation and possible direction for the Body of Christ in 2022.

During the past two years, it seems that the Christian Church has lost some of its joy and excitement for living. Instead of looking optimistic to its future, it has retreated into a holding pattern, into a state of simple maintenance of its hope in Christ. Indeed, in the last days, the Bible says God’s Church is to have patience while the ‘Wrath of the Lamb’ performs judgment upon the earth. The Bible states that all 9-Fruits of the Spirit produce Godly works and accomplish the purposes of God, the ‘fruit of patience’ is no exception! More trouble will be coming as all things are placed under the feet of Christ and every verse of the Bible is fulfilled. Nevertheless, the Church has lots to do, and we can only do this by depending on ‘Christ in us, the hope of glory’.

What to expect? You will notice and experience more people receiving the ‘Mark of the Beast’ (it is not a physical mark but a spiritual mark and through the eyes of Jesus you will see the mark) for in these days, Satan will continue his manifestation and influence in the earth. The Church will find itself more and more in spiritual battles with the powers of darkness, but this should not diminish our love for Jesus nor stop us from producing the works of patience and our confidence in Christ’s rule over all of God’s creation.

It is time to approach God in the strength of God’s patience in our lives by living in the Holy Spirit in 2022 and producing these ‘7-Character Traits’:

1. Be Thankful & Grateful in everything you do—especially to others; not taking anything for granted even being thankful for the little and often insignificant things in our lives.

2. Being happy & easygoing without asking for or needing more stuff; learning to be content with what we have, not looking to worldly things to love or to bring us joy and fulfillment.

3. Learn to laugh at yourself, not taking yourself so seriously—see yourself through God’s eyes; knowing we can do nothing without Christ and all things are about Jesus not about us or what we can do.

4. Forgiving not just others but also yourself (remember Jesus’s death); you will find true and complete forgiveness by the measure and depth of your forgiveness of others—STOP JUDGING AND BEGIN FORGIVING.

5. Pray first, often, and always; allow worry to be last or not at all in your decisions; it is through humility that your prayers are answered, and how you respond/choose God’s will is your faith in action.

6. Live a simpler & healthier lifestyle, remove ‘tempting God’ out of your life’s decisions; uncomplicate your life and end your belief system that says “God will protect me” no matter how I live my life or what I do.

7. Quit expecting others to listen to you or accept your opinions or even do what you say (except your kids under 21). Instead, allow others to make their own decisions and be responsible for their choices; we are not to control each other or get angry if friends, family, or neighbors do not do what we say to them or expect from them. God’s wisdom is not to be given to pigs, dogs, or foolish people the Bible says (Proverbs). So, learn to keep your mouth shut, think good thoughts, and obey God’s Words—live a more simple and non-conflict lifestyle.

So much negativism has infiltrated the Christian community in 2021 that we need to work on character traits that Christ had; charter traits we should have also. Choose these 7-traits as your personal goals in 2022, and break away from all the media, political, and cultural pressures, which have diminished the light of Christ in your life and that which has stolen Jesus’s joy from your life. Let’s once again serve Christ with joy and peace in righteousness, allowing patience to be our guide.

From worry to wisdom

December 31, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

From Worry to Wisdom

Matthew 6:34 is “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Matthew chapter 6)

The Bible states 365 times to “fear not” this is a ‘fear not” for each day of each year. This is no coincidence! God does not want us to fear, worry, or be anxious in any situation.

For the past two years, Christians have been bombarded with fear—the fear of dying by a virus that the medical profession still does not understand fully nor has a medical answer to the virus that is complete or good without some sort of ill-effect or an incomplete solution for every person.

Fear removes love and faith, and the medical community would rather we to ‘look to them’ for life and well-being, but for Christians, our life comes from Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

I do not believe in tempting God and living a lifestyle that only causes weakness in our bodies to fight sickness and righteous living. However, it is ‘worry and being frightened’ that has engulfed our lives through the media. It is time to free ourselves and to begin living with God’s wisdom and without worry.

I once again challenge you to ‘not worry’ this next year, 2022. Let worry go and allow prayer to permeate and strengthen your life. Let’s begin to live our lives on Matthew chapter 6 and keep our hearts in the love and faith of our Lord by praying in the Spirit each day. Let’s move from worldly worry to spiritual wisdom in Christ.

Answered Prayers?

December 30, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Are Your Prayers Answered?

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

(Matthew 6:6, NIV)

There are too many of our prayers that go unanswered; I know God is listening and remembers my prayers, but I have always wondered why I do not receive my requests?

Next year, 2022, I want more of your prayers answered. Too often we pray out of strength not out of humility. I have received so many prayers (answered prayers—answered quickly) when I spoke to God out of a state of need and humility.

We hear too many sermons or teaching about positive speaking, demanding things to happen, or ‘faith that commands’ things to happen, we fail in seeing the many truths in Scriptures.

There is a distinct and overwhelming difference between prayers that are meant to fight against darkness and Satan’s actions, and prayers that speak to requests and finding God’s mercy, help, and blessings in a particular situation or life-changing matter.

Do not think that one particular style or manner of prayer is good for all your requests to God. I find that many people do not receive answers to their prayers because they pray out of pride and self-strength instead of humility, meekness, and dependence on God.

There is a multitude of prayers and teachings on prayer in the Bible that speak to humility and meekness when we pray. When we think that we are ‘important or powerful’ instead of being humble and dependent on God we error. It is God who is always listening, and we ought to approach our Father humbly not out of arrogance and dictatorship.

I challenge you to pray as Matthew 6:6 tells us (these are the words of Jesus, and this is how He approached God each day). Before your day begins and before God asks you to do His will through conducting/performing miracles, healings, signs, and wonders through the working of the Holy Spirit in your life, begin to pray with humility.

You have unanswered prayers go back to your closet, humble yourself, and pray with meekness looking to God alone to answer your prayers and fulfill your requests quickly.

It is in humility, not strength, that God hears

your prayers and answers them each day!

Jesus’s gifts, your gifts?

December 25, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The gifts for Jesus, are they your gifts too?

They came into the house and saw the young

child with Mary, his mother, and they fell

down and worshiped him. Opening their

treasures, they offered to him gifts: gold,

frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11, NEV)

A theological note: The wise men brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the newborn king. Gold, of course, was used as currency, frankincense is a valuable perfume, and myrrh is a precious ointment used in the burial process of the rich. Why these gifts? What do they mean?

(A personal observation: I am amazed how much wisdom is in front of us, but we rather hold on to our own ignorance and stupidity. God gives us wisdom everywhere—in nature, in the Bible, and in the Holy Spirit, but it seems we rather hold onto the weak and pathetic wisdom that we create for ourselves.)

From the very beginning of Jesus’s ministry, God was trying to tell us, “What is good for my Son, Jesus, is also good for each and every one of us.” The most interesting factor of ‘God’s wisdom’ is that He (God) hides it from us (usually right in front of us) and He (God) expects us to search and sacrifice to find and obtain it (Book of Proverbs). This is one of those times!

Types in the Bible: gold refers to God’s wisdom, frankincense is prayer(s), and myrrh is anointing and preparation for death.

God’s wisdom is not merely knowledge or being smart or clever sayings and truths. Wisdom from God (including the Gift of Wisdom—one of the nine gifts of the Spirit) is finding and understanding what the will of God is. Got wisdom you will have access to God’s will—His purposes and action plans. It is not creativity or Godly smarts but simply the discovery of His will. This is what Jesus had—knowing God’s will in every situation and circumstance (faith is you responding to God’s will and accepting it whatever it might be).

Pray is the one attribute that God collects and never forgets. God keeps all prayers in heaven, and it is the only means for us to communicate with God. Why prayer? It is the great equalizer—everyone can pray no matter who you are, how rich or poor you are, smart or ignorant, and your age does not count. Prayer levels the playing field in the Kingdom of God. It is prayer that moves heaven to earth. Rev. Billy Graham once told his grandson, “If there is one thing I should have done better, it is that I should have prayer more.”

Death is a calling; it is inevitable. We all will die but for what purpose and in what manner. Death is never final in God’s realm but must be accomplished with God’s will (wisdom) and through prayer (Jesus in Gethsemane, praying with complete passion and with His whole being). It is this death, as Jesus told us all, “Pick up your cross daily and follow me.” Not only will we physically die someday but we must die spiritually each and every day. It is this death that we must accept as Jesus did his.

These gifts that Jesus received at birth are the same gifts God wants to give to you and me! Now is the time for the wisdom of God’s will, praying without ceasing, and death’s anointing.

Come, Lord Jesus, come! I want the gifts that you received

not for my glory but for your glory alone.

What would Jesus want me to do?
