A Thoughtful Truth for the Week

If you are not for Jesus Christ, you are against Him. There is no middle ground or gray area or any private/personal interpretation of the Bible.

Revelation 3:16 (NIV), “So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”

Indeed, one can see God spitting people/His church out of His presence and from His protection. If this isn’t the Last Days, we are in deep trouble—can it get much worse?

Stop making it complicated

July 10, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

A Thoughtful Truth for the Week

How does one know that he or she is doing the will of God?

(Jesus taught how to please God; always knowing what to do–Mathew 5: 2-10.)

SO, STOP MAKING GOD’S WILL COMPLICATED!

It is easy to know if you are doing the will of God each; all one must do is live by these eight attributes in your personal and daily lifestyle in any given situation:

1. Be in a constant state of repentance—“blessed are the poor in spirit”.

2. Be in prayer and offering forgiveness to others when they cannot do this for themselves—“blessed are those who mourn”.

3. Be humble, never prideful—"blessed are the meek”.

4. Always, always, always be hungry for God’s likeness—“blessed are those who hunger for God’s righteousness”.

5. Be quick to show forgiveness for when others hurt you—“blessed are the merciful for only then will they find forgiveness”.

6. What are your motives, to live for yourself or be faithful to God—“blessed are the pure in heart”.

7. Are you a person that seeks and strives for the unity in the Holy Spirit 24/7—”blessed are the peacemakers in the Body of Christ”.

8. Do you rejoice when you are persecuted, hated, and spoken evil of when you do what Jesus wants—“blessed are those who are persecuted for doing & living by God’s righteousness”.

This is and will always be ‘the will of God’ for every believer; for those who love Jesus more than they love themselves. The 8-step plan to do God’s will.

Miracles, believing and more

July 9, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Series: The People of God

The God of Miracles—Yesterday, Today & Forever

If you are to receive miracles that come from God in your life, & community, you must wrestle with and answer this question with passion and with a heart-felt response, “How can miracles from God become ‘regular events’ in my life, my family, and my community?”

I lost a set of keys to one of my trucks last month. This is very rare for me and I solicited help from my wife. We both traced my steps over the next two days, looked in all the drawers, went through my clothes, checked underthings, and scoured the outside—lawn and carport. Still no sign of the keys. In fact, we checked all these places three times—absolutely no sign of the keys.

A week later, as I was cleaning up a work project at the ranch, putting away tools and unused wood, I was entering the garage for the sixth time and said again in my head, a simple thought to God—’I would like God’s help in finding my keys’. Suddenly, God speaks to me, “Say your request out loud.” As I turned around in the garage, I said to God softly but with a requesting voice, “God, give my keys back to me.” I went back out of the garage to pick up another tool and returned to the garage in order to place it in my toolbox. As I opened one of the middle drawers, there I saw my keys to my truck. They were dirty, in full view, and as if dropped into the drawer. I immediately thanked God and was grateful and humbled.

I have had similar miracles over the years and God has been faithful to grant my requests—not all of them but many. Looking for miracles daily is the first step in receiving a miracle. Being grateful and gracious to God is step number two. Step three is always being humble, i.e., miracles do not come simply by faith or because you consider yourself worthy to receive them. Miracles are kisses from God. If we would learn to ‘kiss the Son of God, kiss Jesus Christ on the face’ miracles would become commonplace and would help one to believe in Jesus more.

This is why God sends miracles, so we would believe more and more in Jesus, His Son. The Gift of Miracles I do not express that I have, but my love for Jesus grows after each and every miracle I experience. One needs to tell God often, “God, if you do not do miracles then people will not believe in you. Your miracles help us to believe in you—people need your miracles to believe.”

Let’s become the people of God through the miracles that Jesus does among us.

Who’s Right?

July 4, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

A Thoughtful Truth for the Week

Who’s Right?

The world says one thing and God says just the opposite.

The world says: ‘be a somebody, significant, and a go-getter’, but God says, ‘become a nobody, unimportant, and humble’.

The world says, ‘the earth is important, and one should do all you can to preserve it’, but God says, ‘do not love this world for it will pass away’.

The world says, ‘create your own destiny’, but God says, ‘to have your destiny and purpose in life—it comes only through Jesus Christ’.

The world says, ‘you must love yourself to succeed’, but God says, ‘you must deny yourself and bear each other’s burdens and trials in this life’.

The world says, ‘assert oneself’ but God says, ‘one person who esteems others above oneself inherits all that God has created and everything He has to offer’.

Part 2 You could be in trouble?

July 2, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Part 2: Do you really understand that the Church is in trouble?

How can the Church survive in the latter days? It will not be easy because you will not have very many options. Time is of the essence; quite tempting God & be a person of repentance.

Recently, while I was driving down a 6-lane hwy, I came across a mother duck and her ducklings—about 24 total. Half were on the narrow center divider and the other half were about 2 feet into the roadway being run over by cars driving about 50 miles per hour. It was a terrible sight! The mother duck was quaking loudly and the ducklings which were about 2 inches tall were being killed as drivers who could not stop or swerve to miss them. They were too small to jump back on the curb and be missed by the car’s tires. It made me sick, and I began to cry. Then the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me immediately saying, “This is what my pastors are doing to my people. Pastors are taking their flocks across the life’s busy highway from the park on one side where it is safe and protected to the shopping mall where it is exciting and profitable. Pastors are helping their followers to make money so to give more money to the church. From a place of security, under the wings of God, to a place that looks fun and exciting—they are making their services fun not a place where God is in control by the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit. Everything is planned and organized but it is not God doing the organizing or planning.

Note: I will not go to a church that I cannot feel the Holy Spirit in the parking lot before I reach the church building, nor a church where I am not greeted by angels, nor into a service that a sweet and forgiving Spirit of God does not exist. I have standards for churches, and they do not include if the pastor is a friend or not or where there are multiple services and programs for all ages.

Jesus warned about teachers who teach false doctrine, pastors who do not protect their flocks, and prophets that speak lies. When will the church realize that if Jesus is not present in what you do, only judgment is waiting for you from God the Father? Jesus will say to you on that day, “I never knew you.”

Waves from the Holy Spirit are passing over America and they are waves of repentance and mourning. It is not a time to rejoice but a time to be broken. How much do you care for others and are you ready for God to perform healings, miracles, and forgiveness?

I am calling our like John the Baptist to repent and even like Jesus who wept over Jerusalem saying, “If only you would have accepted what I said?” We must not love anything in this world, or we will lose our love for Jesus…it is just that simple.

Faith vs. Believing

June 27, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

A Thoughtful Truth for the Week

Believing vs. Faith?

Learn this truth! ‘It is rarely “not having enough faith” but rather “a weakness in believing”.’ Too often we are told, “You, do not have enough faith or you would receive what you ask God for.” But that is not true, it is most likely, “You do not believe what God says, or promises, or believe He is who He says He is, and He will do what He has told us He would do.”

Faith is not believing and believing is not faith. They are totally different in their purposes and how each operates. Usually, believing precedes faith, and faith is your response to what the will of God is—i.e., what is God’s purpose and plan?

I believe therefore I respond to God what God says, wants, or purposes. Believing allows you to connect to Jesus and faith allows you to respond and produce God’s will in any given situation.

The Gift of Faith guides us in responding

to God’s purposes, action plans, and will.

Let’s become people who live in truth and respond to God in truth. No longer being deceived by false doctrine or theology that placed us in bondage.

The end is not pretty!

June 23, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Do you really understand that we are in trouble?

How can one make it in the latter days? It will not be easy, and this is what one can expect.

1. Things will not get better; this is a fact. You better get out of debt.

2. Learn to do things God way—the only way to survive.

3. Money will become worthless (this includes gold and silver).

4. Food and water is everything, so learn to produce/grow food and store water.

5. Become sufficient—learn how to fix things and make things you need.

6. Weather will become your enemy and drinking water will be in short supply.

7. People will blame God and rightly so, it is God who is forcing people to either choose or reject Jesus Christ. Jesus is one’s only option to survive.

8. Satan will perform miracles and because people are not willing to give up their sin and their love for sin; Satan will become their only answer.

9. No one will want to be the political leader of any country—leaders will not be able to fix any problems. This is how Satan comes on the scene.

10. People will want to die and about 40% of the world’s population will die.

11. The sunlight will no longer be available, and winds will no longer blow across the earth.

12. Christians will be hated, persecuted, and killed.

I can say more about the destruction of California, the death of the San Joaquin Valley, and the invasion of California by a foreign power—yes this is coming. America will no longer be a country as we now know it and Washington DC will not exist.

Be prepared to create energy to live by because energy sources as we know it (including electricity) will not be available. You will not be able to buy or sell anything unless you take on the Mark of the Beast. The worship of Satan will give you access to Satan’s power to exist a few years.

Even Israel will be deceived by Satan until they realized that they killed their King, Jesus Christ. It is only then that a final battle will take place (no nuclear or mechanical weapons will be used) and Jesus Christ arrives on the scene and destroys all Israel’s enemies.

So, make your love for God sure/steadfast, and become dependent on your faith in God alone. This is your only hope! Do not love anything in this world or you will lose your love for Jesus.

Unfailing faith & love

June 22, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Unfailing Faith—Staying in the Love of God!

I want to be a person full of faith always standing in the love of God ‘24/7’! I desire to ‘love God’ all the time, and I want ‘God’s miracles’ to be ‘regular events’ in my life, my family, and my community! I want everything that Jesus offered to me and to those around me.

I believe there are three ingredients in ‘exercising faith’ in order to live in the love of the Father. We need faith to please God (the Bible states) and to have His blessings on our lives. To have faith is not as hard as we think. Faith can be easy but positioning oneself, so you exercise faith in love is quite another matter.

First, we must understand that “God has given a ‘measure of faith’ to everyone”, this Scripture means that God has given each of us faith to respond to the will of God. Faith is our response to God, not some mystical attribute. God wants each of us to believe in Him and accept God’s plan and purpose for our lives, this is the essence of faith. Just a small amount of faith, like a mustard seed, can move mountains, Jesus said. This Biblical story/illustration by Jesus means ‘you either have faith or you don’t’. One either responses to the purposes and action plans of God or you do not. It is a choice, a decision on your part.

Furthermore, Satan through all his power and lies cannot stop any person from coming to Jesus—it is impossible. Note the Biblical story of the person who had a legion of demons living in him (Mark 5:1-20, NIV): When Jesus got out of the boat,a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him.Night and day among the tombs and in the hills, he would cry out and cut himself with stones. When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him.He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!”For Jesus had said to him,“Come out of this man, you impure spirit!” Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the man (this is only a portion of the Biblical account.). This man lived by himself in caves, cutting himself with knives, being naked and screaming, and could not be restrained with chains. He came to Jesus, begging for forgiveness—satanic demons could not stop him from his decision to come to Christ (i.e., the use of his measure of faith that God gives to everyone) allowing him to come to Christ to be healed, delivered, and saved.

Here is the point of this story—we all have a measure of faith in order to respond to and choose God’s offer of life and wholeness, and nothing can stop this from working in our life. I chose God and when I do, my faith springs into action. Godly faith is stated clearly in Hebrews chapter 11, giving us all kinds of examples and manifestations of how faith works. Faith is not believing more, rather it is responding more to the will of God.

Second, we must increase and have ‘operable’ faith! We must be bold and willing to take ‘spiritual risks’ to do God’s will. How many Scriptures are there that God tells His people to be bold and courageous, not to become fearful or weak-hearted? If you are to partner with Jesus, one must be fearless and confident that God will back up His promises with action. Jesus did not give us the Holy Spirit to be timid, shy, or afraid. Scriptures tell us that these signs follow those who believe (Mark 16:17-18 NIV): And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. This is the goal for our faith. Our faith should exist for others not just for ourselves. The operation of faith is imbedded in community and being one in Christ; it is for the Body of Christ. A believer accepts and responds to what God wants, who God is, and willing to reflect the person of God in their lives. It takes courage to be like Jesus—unafraid and accepting whatever Jesus wants to do. When I believe (unafraid) and respond to God’s requests (faith in action), then God’s will begin to change everything around you, me, & us.

Thirdly, get rid of your pride and replace it with faith. Pride hinders faith much more than one could imagine. Pride that says I am important, pride that says God will take care of me no matter what I do, pride that says if only I do ‘such and such’ for myself, not God’s way but my way, I will have finally become important in God’s eyes. This is exactly what Satan told Jesus when Jesus was in the desert, fasting for 40 days—before His ministry began. Think about it—Satan tried to get Jesus to lift himself up instead of doing things God’s way.

One can have pride in so many ways:

ü One can have pride in making money or not making money.

ü One can have pride in looking pretty or not being pretty.

ü One can have pride in one’s strength, intelligence, or talents.

ü Owning anything in this life or not owning anything.

ü Giving money or keeping one’s money.

ü Making decisions or not making a decision.

ü Being tall or being short.

ü Being humble or prideful.

ü Loving others or holding back one’s love.

ü In fact, anything one does, or does not do; is or is not; being popular or not can be prideful.

Begin to do a personal survey of your life—decisions you make, tasks you do, why you do what you do, where you go, how you dress/look, what you say or do not say—anything and everything you do or do not do. You will find pride in your life. This ‘pride’ keeps us from God—it keeps you from exercising faith to do God’s will and keeps the love of God out of your life. Get rid of your pride and you will find the ability to exercise faith and live in the love of God. Remember not to take any pride in losing your pride—stay humble—it is not you but Jesus in you that you can do anything good, loving, and for God. Do not steal or accept any of God’s glory. All glory and honor belong to God; it is not yours! Once you learn this 3-step process and live these 3-simple biblical truths you will find ‘that person of faith’ and ‘live in the love of God’.

A lie, lies and more lies

June 21, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

You are being lied to!

Satan is a liar; he can never tell the truth. He, of course, will state a truth or Biblical principle but always out of context or with an interpretation that promotes pride, lusts, or ungodly desires. Jesus said, “Satan is the father of lies.” So how often have we been lied to?

Does the media lie—all the time. How about our government—they never will tell you the whole truth but hid the true facts. Is the medical profession reliable—not if you include the CDC. Where can one find the truth? It is not easy living in a world of lies and deception and greed.

The CDC has been completely wrong concerning the Covid-19 Virus. At the very least, they have not been upfront and straightforward with the American people. Time after time the CDC has been caught in a lie. Lies promote fear and fear drove Americans to believe in lies. Satan uses people, organizations, governments, and societal norms to promote his lies, and it is his lies that come to us in a variety of venues.

As I have written about in earlier articles, using common sense in fighting against viruses, living a healthy and active lifestyle, and the promotion of appropriate eating habits that naturally fight viruses would have saved thousands of lives. Instead, we believe in lies; lies that kill and destroy mankind. This virus will not be going away, and vaccines will only become partially successful. Do not depend on masks to keep you safe, most are not made to keep out viruses from your lungs.

As Satan lied to Jesus about tempting God so it is with so many lies that we find in our culture today. What is the truth? What is your motive? Who are you going to believe in?

Do not go the ‘way of pride’ that says, ‘you can do whatever and God will protect you’. This is a lie that Satan always uses against God’s people. How to fight against lies? It is time to avoid fear (use common sense), do not tempt God (God wants you to live a healthy lifestyle), and learn/know the tactics that Satan uses in this world to kill, steal, and destroy all of God’s creation (check out the Bible). It is indeed a time for Jesus and looking to Him alone for answers. He has more truth and common sense than anyone else in this world.

Not tomorrow but today

June 20, 2021 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

God is not there to give you what you want!

Much too often we feel that God is not listening, or He is not looking at what is taking place in our culture? But, the opposite is true. The Bible says God used to look the other way but after Christ’s death on the cross, God no longer gives man the option to go unnoticed nor live without consequences for his behavior. The wrath of the Lamb of God can be seen everywhere in America.

God is consistently and constantly monitoring and measuring our motives. This is one of the many jobs of the Holy Spirit. A good example of this job description is Acts 5:9 (NIV), the story of Ananias and Sapphira. Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” Lying to God is never a good idea, especially for personal gain—how are your motives in talking/praying to God?

Too many Christians serve God for what they can get from God. They think God will never judge them; they believe that God is a ‘God of mercy and forgiveness’ only. Mathew 7:21-23 (NKJV) states, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness’!”

Why are God’s kids thinking that they can do whatever and God will just forgive? God is a God of mercy when we are honest toward Him. We cannot think that God will look the other way and only give me kindness. Jesus is coming back—this is evident all around us, and He is not coming back to offer forgiveness but to offer judgment. As we accept His forgiveness, we must also accept His judgment—this is the Fear of God that is spoken about so often in the Bible and directs the actions of the Holy Spirit.

We must have the return of Jesus Christ, not tomorrow but always be looking for it today!
