It’s a battle

It’s a Battle

Do not think that God’s will is ‘a walk in the park on a bright sunny day’. To receive God’s will is and always will be a fight. That is why my previous two articles are about staying the course and willing to fight. God does not fight like the wars that take place on a daily basis throughout the world; God’s battles take spiritual weapons and spiritual character.

This is why I said we must be ‘as Moses did’—holding up our hands and lifting our voices to heaven. It is through praise and thankfulness that victories are won on earth when it is God’s purposes and plans that are at stake. I worship and praise the Father & Son for all they have done and want to accomplish. This is how I fight to see God’s will done.

Also, I recently wrote an article about worshipping God on November 8th. We must worship God in truth and in Spirit regardless of what is taking place and in opposition to the fear of the coronavirus. There are things God wants us to do and often they are actions on faith and love that the world needs to see, and we need to experience.

Let’s not be weak in these times of trial and battle. “Fight the good fight of faith,” the apostle Paul said. We must be warriors for Christ and look to Him for any and all victories.

Make sure you read, consider, and respond to my two recent articles (dated Nov. 4th and 5th). Your future depends on your character and your battle readiness.

Sunday, November 8th!

Nov 5, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

November 8th/A Blessing or a Curse

On November the 4th as I was waking up early in the morning, God began to talk to me through a series of short dreams. He instructed me to tell His people to have a worship/praise service in their churches. Here are God’s requirements for His service:

1. The service may be held at any time but on November 8th, this Sunday. (The number “8” is important because it signifies both a blessing and a curse.)

2. The service is to have no time restraints and it can be a special service or take the place of a regular service.

3. There should be no preaching, no offering, and no announcements.

4. Everyone should be present from young children through adults.

5. The church is to be open to everyone and anyone.

6. Worship and praise is the purpose of the service—sing only songs that give glory and praise to God. Do not sing songs about yourselves.

7. The focus of the service is for praise, prayer, reading of Scriptures, and the taking of Communion (if that can be arranged).

8. Each congregation is to gather in praise and prayer in order to find the ‘unity of the Spirit’, to receive and offer forgiveness, to pray for each other, and to see ‘God’s will be done’.

If you are questioned about ‘restrictions regarding the coronavirus’, you are to answer, “The Lord has asked us to come into His House to worship and praise Him alone on this day (Nov 8th)". This is a one-time event and to be done only this coming Sunday (I do not know why).

God told me that every group of worshippers, every church, every assembly that gather in His Name and worship Him using the above guidelines on Nov. 8th only, God will pour out a blessing(s) on the church and every believer. Every church that does not meet together will receive a curse from Him—even a curse of poverty, disfavor with the Son, and the removal of the churches’ light. It is this important!

As I have stated I do not know why, nor what the outcomes will be, and neither the timing. You have 3 days to prepare as Christ was 3 days in hell only to be raised from the dead. May the Lord give you strength and determination to do His will in such a time as this!

As Moses did, so should we

Nov 4, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

As Moses…

As Moses held up his arms & hands during the battle over the promised land, so should we praise God with our hands and hearts lifted up to heaven. The light from the sun continued to shine, so should we praise God for the light of God and heaven to continue to shine during this time of battle—the battle of the 2020 elections.

We must praise God and see the light of heaven shine during the final stages of the battle before us. Yes, praise God forever and lift up your voice and hands to heaven. It is God who should be praised, and God alone should receive all glory and praise. This is what His children do in battle. Praise the Lord; Praise Him Forever!

Guest Article from ‘The Briefing’ 081, Oct. 31

by Cheryl Amabile
EXINGENCY!

exingency – (noun) an urgent need or demand

Our team gathered just before our morning prayer meeting at the end of this week and found that the Lord had deposited a confirming word among us. One of our leaders had been awakened in the night hearing: “We must press in NOW!” Another leader was burdened with a dream from a few years ago in which there were angels with brooms sweeping the Supreme Court and awaiting their commissioning to sweep the House and the Senate too and to clean off the white-washed walls. Then, Chris Berglund shared a dream he had just received that morning:

In Chris’ dream, Lou Engle had gathered a number of people and was telling us all, “We have a pro-life, pro-Israel, and pro-independent-from-nations man in office and tonight we’re going to a movie called ‘Exingency,’ for it’s time to take the Legislative Branch!”

Chris was not even familiar with the word “exingency.” He had to look it up in a dictionary when he awoke. But the sense in the dream was that we had secured President Trump’s seat in prayer and it was now urgent that we focused on the House and the Senate.

This is not the first time that God has prophetically exhorted us to win the spiritual battle over the legislature. Earlier this year, we received a dream in which Lou Engle had been appointed by President Trump to be the “U.S. Intercessor," a position that came with authority over Nancy Pelosi. We believe this dream is not just about Lou, but about a whole company of intercessors who are taking their place along with this general of intercession. We also know that we battle not against flesh and blood, i.e. Nancy Pelosi, but against the powers and principalities that hold sway over her and her position as the majority leader in the House of Representatives.

As we’ve been shown previously, these are “Trump/Truman Times” and we need to win both the House and the Senate for the fullness of God’s purposes to prevail in this season. It has caught our attention that in President Truman’s historic re-election (which defied both the polls and the headlines!) he also swept the House and the Senate, making way for unhindered policy to go forth.

Presently, there is much more ground to be taken in order to turn America back to righteousness and fulfill our calling on behalf of Israel and the nations of the earth. Therefore, we must do our part in intercession, and voting, to bring all three branches of government into agreement with God’s pro-life, pro-Israel and pro-indepentant-of-nations agenda.

Along these lines, another dream that is weighing heavily upon us, is a dream Chris had in which those who would pay the price would become God’s S.W.A.T. team on an important assignment.

In the dream there was a S.W.A.T. tent that few would enter. The cost was compared to the price Daniel paid when he “loved not his life unto death” (Rev 12:11) and opened his windows before all of Babylon (Dan 6:10). Chris stepped under the S.W.A.T. banner at the entrance of the tent and approached a table with the letters EMP on it. EMP then changed to WMP with a voter registration card beneath it. Chris realized in the dream, “Oh, this is Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.” A voice in the tent announced, “Our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” Chris knew we had been given power and authority over these states but would need to pay a price and use the spiritual weapons we had been given for warfare.

We understand that we’ve been given many spiritual weapons, but interestingly, the phrase “Weapons of Our Warfare” (and it’s acronym W.O.W.) has actually been emphasized to us in past dreams referencing the Esther Fast and its power to contend against the “World Of Witchraft” (another W.O.W.). With tonight being the eve of Halloween and a full moon; with myriads of witches across the globe wielding the powers of darkness against Tuesday’s vote; with rebellious nations seeking to subdue America as the defending wall against globalism; we must not underplay the significance of God highlighting the Esther Fast as the weapon needed to shatter the affront of Satan over these next three days.

Let us plead the blood of Jesus over Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, and decree the interrupting of the demonic power grid of darkness and deception over these states prior to the election. That “Better Blood,” the blood that “speaks a better word than the blood of Abel,” literally has a frequency – the very sound of mercy – that triumphs over sin and any evil that the enemy can array against us. So, we urge you over these next three days to pummel the airways over Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania with the blood of Jesus and win the vote in these three states.

Truly the hour is urgent, but it is not too late. In Lou Engle’s own words, "Esther’s three-day fast broke the power of Haman’s witchcraft and genocidal decree and the whole public policy of the Persian empire was reversed. Such a turn-around is called ‘peripety’ – a sudden reversal of fortunes. In one moment a king can have a sleepless night. In one moment millions can have a dream and change their votes. God is the God of Peripety. The next three days can reverse the literal trajectory of the enemy’s plans and God can interject his narrative into the storyline of this nation!"

I’ve got gophers

Oct 25, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

I Have Gophers

I have a small ranch and the ranch has gophers. I do not think you can go anywhere in CA where gophers are not found. They destroy trees and eat just about everything you plant. These pests have given me more problems and headaches than all the other wildlife combined.

I have often questioned why God created these creatures. God could have created a gopher to dig holes but not eat tree roots; this would have made my life so much better & easier. I would not have lost about 40 fruit trees in 20 years.

I have walked up to a fruit tree that is beginning to lean and once I try to straighten it out, it just falls over to the ground—all the roots are gone, and it did not give much notice to what was happening to its roots hidden by the soil. This is exactly what is taking place in so many Christians’ lives today.

Hebrews 12:15 states, “See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” Bitterness is like ‘a root’ or as a hidden sickness in one’s life, but from experience, I believe it is more like a gopher that eats away at the very source of one’s life in Christ—the gift of the grace of God working in your life.

As a gopher cannot be noticed, it stays hidden in the ground. The bitterness stays undetected in one’s life, slowly eating away at the truth and grace of God that is keeping you alive in Him. After a while there is no life within you, it is gone—eaten away, never to return, never to be healed.

We become bitter in so many ways: not willing to forgive others, mad at God for whatever the reason, feelings of injustice and personal attacks, unwilling to have patience with others, thoughts that it is too hard to serve God, believing God does not love us—can not seem to please God, and lastly, becoming critical of the Body of Christ or the leadership of the Church. It is easy to become bitter, that is why we must offer Godly forgiveness to others and accept forgiveness from God (in that order).

Indeed, we are not perfect, and neither are others. It is time to allow the Holy Spirit to search not only our hearts but also our mind, soul, and spirit/strength to see if there is any bitterness (gophers) in our lives eating away at the Grace of God in our lives.

We must become perfect in Christ and that only comes through forgiveness and the washing & cleansing of His blood in every part of who we are and what we do. Let’s be like Jesus and find forgiveness for all hurt, bitterness, and resentment that has been eating away our love and joy for God and others. Get rid of those gophers!

The follow-up

Oct 24, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Follow-up to ‘Things We Should Have Done’

I stated in the previous article, “Too often our repentance is only about what we did wrong, but God says in Scripture that what you did not do (that is when you had the ability and power to do good) in refusing to help others or stand against evil is often much more harmful than your sin.”

Satan wants the Church to be passive and in limbo—too busy or afraid to act. We must never be there! What I wrote yesterday was an article on the wisdom of God, but we need the very presence of God to move and change us. Here are some helpful things you can do to ignite the spark of God’s light in your life and begin to allow the presence of God to heal, change, and motivate you to always “Do the Jesus thing” and avoid “What you did not do”.

First, purchase/download in order to view the film, “A Man Called Norman” by Focus on the Family. It came out in the ’80s. Do whatever you can to see this movie—it will move you like no other movie to become compassionate and ‘what to do’ for others.

Immediately, download the song, “The Gospel According to Luke” by Skip Ewing. It is one of these songs that you cannot just listen to one-time. It will bring the presence of God into your life so to change your behavior from “what you did not do” to “what Jesus just did through me”. (You might only find the song in Skip Ewing’s album of his greatest hits; it was a #1 hit song in 1989.)

We need the Holy Spirit’s tools in our lives that are actively being stirred-up so we can serve Jesus Christ. Do not fail yourself or allow Satan to cause you to be too busy not to see and hear the two items I just mentioned to you. They will change your life forever!

What I should have done?

Oct 23, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Things We Should Have Done

The purpose of the article, “Things we should have done,” is to give you the wisdom to understand where repentance, believing in God, and responding to God in faith intersect. God has called us not just to shape history but to do so in a way to allow Christ to return.

We are waiting for Christ’s return and God is waiting for His Church to fulfill the words of Jesus by bringing all things under the subjection of His Son. But first, we must acknowledge where we have failed.

Too often our repentance is only about what we did wrong, but God says in Scripture that what you did not do (that is when you had the ability and power to do good) in refusing to help others or stand against evil is often much more harmful than your sin.

Our repentance must include what we failed to do; when we looked the other way not assisting others in need or confronting evil. God is looking for people who love as He loves and reaches out to others as if they themselves were the ‘Arm of God’ doing His will.

I cannot tell you how many times God asked me to do something (the Holy Spirit brings some person or action to my attention). I often said, “God, I have no time for this.” (Or) “I cannot do this—I don’t want to do this.” God does not take “no” from me; He urges me to say “yes”. I often turned around and did what God would want me to do or I would say, “God, You will have to help me” and then begin to do what He was asking of me.

(I remember the time God had me fill up gas cans or help pay for gas for those who did not have the money to purchase gasoline for their cars/trucks. I have many such stories about helping others because God knew I had the means and power to do so.)

When we do these three things we are the Body of Christ and accomplishing the fulfillment of Scripture:

One, when we repent of things we should have done, thereby accepting responsibility for the activity of God through us; reaching out to a dying world that needs our help 24/7.

Two, when we respond in believing that the Father is pleased with us when we try to ‘make a wrong, right’ by taking the time…whenever we see a person in need, give assistance, taking the time to pray for their healing, assist through an act of kindness or love, and even offer Jesus’s words of hope and justice to anyone bound by their sin or in the clutches of the devil, knowing that repentance leads to believing.

Three, when we approach the Father through faith (faith is your response to the will of God—His purposes and action plans), i.e., when we respond to what God wants us to do God calls us “a person of faith” just like the great people of faith in Hebrews chapter 11. God is asking us to not believe more (He knows we already do that) but He is asking us to do something—to respond to what He wants; what His will is and how to get His will done.

God is asking all of us to “get things done” by doing what He wants. So, let’s begin to affect and change history in finding what God wants to do and then ‘doing just that’ without reservations, doubt, and lack of commitment and action.

Want to see Jesus return? Begin by doing, forging ahead with what Jesus would want me to do!

Read & Be Encouraged!

Oct 20, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Be Encouraged (I was)

I received an encouraging statement from Cheryl Amabile, founder of The Briefing. It touched my soul and encouraged me in this time of profound hatred and political unrest. At times I felt I was fighting this spiritual battle alone and against great odds. I AM NOT ALONE AND NEITHER ARE YOU! God has kept always to Himself others of like mind and in the Unity in the Body of Christ to fight for His will and to fight against all evil in every quarter. This is indeed the Season and Time for Righteous Judges to once again rule in this earth and in the affairs of mankind.

Cheryl wrote. “Our Briefing team has joined with about 70 young adults from around the nation who have gathered to pray day and night in Colorado Springs up through the elections. Today’s Briefing will keep you right in step with us all for a very important focus. We are so grateful for this band of intercessors – now 9,000 strong – who are eager to steward the word of the Lord. May He consume us now with His zeal and with a spirit of prayer for thousands upon thousands to ride in His chariot.

Our Briefing team is convinced that the season we have been in as a nation since 2016 is not coming to an end but is actually ramping up to the height of God’s purpose. The Righteous Judge of the earth not only desires to tear down the systems and seats of Jezebel’s power in America but to sweep away the entire house of Ahab. This work is not finished, and it cannot take place under just any circumstances.

We believe that President Trump has been specifically chosen and equipped for this purpose. We also know from natural reasoning, as well as confirming prophetic dreams, that the House of Representatives and the Senate must both have a majority that are aligned with Trump and with God’s agenda, for all to be accomplished as God desires. So, these elections matter. Very much.”

This is NO Time to Be Passive!

Letter from Dr. James Dobson

Oct 19, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

A Letter from Dr. James Dobson

I received a copy of a letter sent by Dr. James Dobson. Please read and pass along; good wisdom for all of us. Dobson states: (direct quote)

Dear Friends,

This will be my final letter to 800,000 people before Americans cast our ballots on November 3rd. It is a breathtaking moment in the history of the United States. Perhaps I will be permitted to repeat a brief comment I made in my August letter because of its relevance to today. Many political commentators have stated that this election is the most significant since 1864 when Abraham Lincoln vied for a second term against Democratic nominee, George McClellan. The future of our beloved nation hung in the balance that year. If Lincoln had lost, the Civil War would have ended precipitously and the wretched evils of slavery would have remained legal in the Confederate States, and perhaps even in the North. Had Lincoln been defeated, the Union would have been torn asunder. Thank God Mr. Lincoln won, even though it cost him his life!

Now we are approaching another presidential election that carries enormous implications for the stability of our democratic system of government. Indeed, Newt Gingrich said that what we are facing now might bring an end to civilization as we have known it. He may have been referring to a possible revolution. Regardless, I believe his grave concern for our nation is valid. For centuries, America has stood as a shining light for liberty and freedom in our nation and around the globe. If we abandon our founding core values, the world will suffer for it. The binary choice before us is that stark.

How will Americans, and how will you, decide who to vote for as our Chief Executive Officer? I have heard from dozens of friends and acquaintances in recent weeks who tell me they will base their decision solely on a candidate’s rhetoric, tone, style, or likeability. Does that describe your thinking process?

Just now, as I was about to react to that idea, my wife, Shirley, brought in an email that she had received a few minutes before from a friend. It quoted an anonymous statement that gets to the heart of the issue, as follows:

"This is not a junior high or high school popularity/personality contest. I’m not voting for the person—I’m voting for the platform!

I’m voting for the Second Amendment. I’m voting for the next Supreme Court justice. I’m voting for the electoral college. I’m voting for the Republic in which we live. I’m voting for the police and law and order. I’m voting for the military and the veterans who fought and died for this country. I’m voting for the flag that is often missing from public events. I’m voting for the right to speak my opinion and not be censored for it. I’m voting for secure borders. I’m voting for the right to praise God without fear. I’m voting for every unborn soul that is at risk of being aborted. I’m voting for freedom and the American dream. I’m voting for good and against evil. I’m not just voting for one person.

I’m voting for the future of my country!"

I couldn’t have said it better, although I want to add to the writer’s list. I’m also voting for candidates who will exercise sound leadership internationally. I’m voting for those who will support Israel. I’m voting for those who will protect children from leftist curricula. I’m voting for the nation’s fiscal integrity. I’m voting for parental rights. I’m voting for school choice and home education. I’m voting for freedom in the suburbs. I’m voting for Little Sisters of the Poor and other Christian organizations. I’m voting for racial unity. I am voting to support "In God we trust" and school prayer. I’m voting for freedom of conscience for physicians and other professionals. I am voting for marriage. I am voting for life in all its dimensions. I am voting against euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. I’m voting for wisdom in handling the pandemic. I am voting for protection for the Church from oppressive politicians.

One final thought: With all respect, this election isn’t about you. It certainly isn’t about me. It is about our kids and grandkids. It is about those who are yet to come, if they are allowed to live. This vote has awesome implications for future generations and the nation we love. It is about our Constitution and the immutable, God-given rights it protects. It is about values, and truth, and greatness, and hope. That is why the notion of choosing a president based on frivolous personality characteristics is so unfortunate.

In summary, this election is for all the marbles . . . the Presidency, the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Supreme Court. Together, they set the agenda for this country.

If you love America and don’t want it to be "fundamentally transformed," it is time to do three things:

1. Pray like never before that God will spare this great nation from tyranny and oppression of religious liberty.

2. Volunteer to help your candidates.

3. Vote for the candidates who will best uphold your values and convictions.
Also, consider forwarding this letter to your friends, family, and others whom you might influence.

May God bless America!
