When God Multiplies

March 3, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

God by the Numbers

Have you ever studied ‘the numbers’ (or just one number) in the Bible? Most likely you have in some limited context. If you would try to list all the ‘numbers’ in the Bible—they are many times more than all the pages of the Bible. God uses numbers to explain not only His purposes but also who He is and what He is doing. Numbers are important to God.

To explain the significance of individual numbers (1-24) would greatly increase your understanding of God. If God did not use numbers in explaining what He is planning to do we would never recognize ‘His Coming’ or how He works in the lives of His people.

But to me, the most significant aspect of Biblical numbers is the “multiplication process” that God references from Genesis to Revelation. God wants whatever He does or touches to multiply. It is only in multiplication that His will is completed.

We must “multiply” God commands. If you have a ministry—it is supposed to multiply. If you have a gift—it is to multiply. The Word of God (Gospel of Christ) is to multiply in your life. Grace, peace, and joy are to multiply in our lives—as stated at the beginning of each Epistle in the New Testament.

In fact, if we hide the talent God gives to us there is only judgment waiting for us. Whatever God does, whatever He gives, whatever He says must multiply in our lives. This is a given and is a requirement in Scripture.

How many of you have become stagnant? The things of God have not multiplied or grown in your life? We are to go from “30 to 60 to 100 fold”. It is never to become ‘flat or static’ but is to multiply.

The next time you read any Scripture that uses the word, “blessing” or “multiply”—it means that whatever God deposits into your life it is to produce more fruit all the time and in every direction. Do not allow your decisions or Satan tempt you into staying the same. We are to multiply in every way and all time for God’s glory alone.

‘Get believing’ fellow believers and allow God to increase your influence, your talents, your gifts and fruits of the Spirit, your ministry. Let Today be the Day for God to multiple everything good in your life—this is what He expects from you and me.

His love never fails

March 2, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Love Never Ending

The love of God; I cannot explain it when it engulfs my life. It makes me cry and rejoice all at the same time. It convicts me of my unworthiness and at the same time, I feel God loves me more than anyone else in the room. His love amazes me!

If there is anything you can count on—more than anything else in this lifetime—it is that God loves you! You and I will be disappointed time and time again but not by God—His love makes everything that I do or who I am worthwhile.

But often, we experience or talk about the love of God without mentioning anything else about God and His will through Jesus Christ. God reminded me again today that love comes to us through judgment. Christ’s love was manifested fully at Calvary and through the judgment that the Father placed on His Son. Jesus said that He comes not to bring peace but a sword. Jesus knew that because of Him people would become offended and turn against each other because of the Gospel of Christ.

The world seeks unity and does not want God to judge them, but Christ’s judgment has already taken place. On Calvary, God’s judgment was forever placed within the timeframe of this world. You and I cannot escape the judgment of Christ—it is a given.

This is why there are mercy and forgiveness—“the ax is laid at the foot of the tree”—and no one will be able to escape the consequences of their sin. If you want mercy you must acknowledge God’s fearful judgment.

God reminded and asked me once again to pray for and speak God’s judgment over various groups who do everything they can to resist Jesus working in the lives of His people. They are enemies of the Gospel of Christ and God wants them to know this.

I am reminded in Revelation that God wants to proclaim His judgment as much as His mercy over the earth. God does not want me to fail in bringing His judgment to bear upon all those who reject Him. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God.”

“God, make me unashamed, unafraid, and unapologetic in Christ. When I speak may your judgment reign supreme over all the earth. God, may you alone receive all praise and worship and Jesus be lifted up above all things. Even so, Come Lord Jesus, come.”

Without honor

March 1, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Without Honor

They looked the other way! They decided not to get involved! They were afraid to act! They deferred their responsibility to others! They refused to acknowledge the obvious! They simply were people without honor.

I find the recent tragedy at a Florida high school to be a commentary on American culture. Our culture is weak because Americans are weak. Far too many ‘dropped the ball’ by not taking responsibility in stopping a young man that is indeed not only mentally disturbed but under the control of Satan. I wonder how many Christians knew this young man yet did not offer him deliverance from the demons inside of him through the power of Jesus Christ?

This is why Jesus exercised a “deliverance ministry” and commanded His disciples to do the same. Evil has no power over God’s church—at least, that is what the Bible says. If the Church does not stand up and accept the responsibility to confront evil and speak deliverance to individuals under the control of the devil, then we have no honor and should not be called by Christ’s name. (To murder for pleasure is Satan inspired and directed.)

There are signs of demon possession and being control of the devil. However, the Church too often defers their judgment to professionals or ‘the educated’. They will never be able to stand against Satan nor give those who are in trouble the deliverance they need or are seeking after if they choose not to act.

How much longer, Church, are you going to be a church without honor? How much longer are you going to turn your back on those in spiritual need? When are you going to exercise the authority Christ has given to you to “destroy the works of the devil?”

Christians need not call themselves Christians unless they do the works of Christ. God says that unless we keep the commandments of Christ we do not nor can we love God and love each other. I am bold in stating, “There is no honor if we do not exercise the power of Christ and destroy the works of the devil. Honor requires courage and sacrifice. It is God who seeks those who worship Him to honor Him through “doing” the works of Christ and the Holy Spirit.”

What are you hiding?

February 28, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Hiding Behind

What are you hiding behind? All of us do—we hide behind something we are doing in order to hide who we really are. We are good at that. This is why God says everything will be manifested in heaven—nothing will be hidden—everything exposed.

I try to ‘put my best foot forward’. We want people to think well of us. We hide the faults and insecurities of who we are. But most of all, we do not like to acknowledge our weaknesses. Often there are little things in our personalities that we hide. We think no one will respect or love us with such a fault as…

God knows who we are—we cannot hide any aspect of ourselves from Him. I like it like that! I rather be like King David who spoke to God, “See if there be any wicked way in me.” We can never find great mercy and total forgiveness unless we are willing to see honestly whom we are, acknowledging the weakness, and ask God for Grace to change.

However, more than I like to state, most of us keep our faults and use the better more likable aspects of our personality to hide the darkness of who we are. We use humor, our ‘good looks’, what we wear, our intelligence, money, and often qualities of giving, sharing our wealth or kind deeds to be the veil or ‘personal wall’ we hide behind.

Yes, we use good character traits to hide our evil character traits. I have even seen people use certain ‘Christian behaviors or traits’ as their disguise when they are hiding the ‘rotten character’ traits in their personalities.

Some people are good at their disguise. Even though there are things about their character that I like, I know they are evil and dark individuals, and if I would confront them regarding what they are doing and why they immediately respond back in a defensive and aggressive attitude. These people do not want to change who they are or what they do. They are only interested in getting what they want and are willing to hurt anyone who gets in their way. God will say to these individuals at the Judgment Day, “I never knew you!”

Want to make heaven your home? Try this first, “Repentant of who you are and what you are hiding.” It is God who loves us and will meet you with good will, forgiveness, and love that will take away the evil traits in your personality. I know this is true because He has done this for me.

The loss of a friend

February 21, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

The Loss of a Friend

It saddened me to hear of Reverend Billy Graham’s passing. I know he wanted to go home (he called heaven his home) and to be once again with his wife, Ruth. They both were such wonderful people and pillars in the Body of Christ.

I was saved at Billy’s first crusade in Fresno, CA. over 50 years ago, and I attended his second crusade in Clovis, which is in the Fresno area, a few years past. Every time I listen to Billy either in person or on TV the Holy Spirit would move me to tears. To listen to the truth of the gospel and hear the passion and sincerity in Billy’s voice changed my life for good each and every time.

Billy had such passion and a determination for everyone to make the same decision for Christ that he did as a young man. He would say that whenever he preached, “he felt the presence and power of God”—you could sense this if you were in the crowd listening to him.

I have read about his history in the book, Billy Graham, God’s Ambassador by Time/Life Books, 1999. (It is full of great stories and pictures—purchase a copy for your self—a must for everyone’s personal library!) You will find so many interesting facts that will amaze you and challenge your walk with Christ.

One thing that catapulted Graham into the ministry was his struggle to believe in and have the conviction that the Bible was true. That God’s word was completely and totally accurate and truthful. Once he accepted this fact about the Bible his life changed forever. The other fact was his experience with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. This happened to him during his crusade in Los Angeles that forced his ministry into the public arena.

God has a way of using what man has created for His glory. The west-coast newspapers gave Billy the push to become America’s minister to the entire world during his Revival in Los Angeles in the 1940’s.

There is a saying of Billy’s that has helped me over the years and I have enlarged upon it. I say this often to myself and especially when I am down or fighting to keep my head above the waters, I say out loud, “God loves me and Jesus loves me. Jesus, you are my friend and Holy Spirit, you are my strength.”

I say this to myself and/or to the circumstances around me many times during a day. I like to keep God close and Jesus even closer and it helps to keep my eyes on Him. It is my love for God and His love for me that makes being a Christian worthwhile.

Student’s Responsibility

February 20, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Taking Responsibility

I am sure you have heard of the high school shooting in Florida. Once again, a tragic and senseless series of events that led to multiple deaths. So many families were touched by the sin not only of the shooter but all of those that could have done something but did nothing.

My dad taught me to stand up for the mentally unstable student in school. We often had this lecture around the dinner table at night. My dad stood up for the ‘under-dog’, the person that could be taken advantage of by other students.

I briefly watched how high school students are protesting for more and stricter gun laws. I am sure more can be done in this area, but it is not gun laws that will correct or solve this type of violence in our schools. It is the students themselves that must ‘look inward’ in solving similar senseless crimes of violence.

Students are being manipulated to demonstrate and they are told that government must solve the problem of violence. I differ very strongly to this line of thinking. It is the students themselves that must bear the responsibility for the high school shooting.

This young man was ignored or cast aside—isolated by fellow students at his high school. For years he was acting out inappropriate behavior and violence yet no one came to his rescue. Furthermore, students decided not to get involved—they believe it is not their problem. Well, now it is!

Students should have reached out to their fellow student. They should not have covered up his violent behavior or words. They needed to take the proper steps to correct, resist and stop the behavior of the shooter. If I were to place the blame on someone or group it would be this young man’s schoolmates.

It is time for students to accept their part in why this young man shot his school friends. It is time for students to indeed get their friends in trouble with the law or become the ‘lawmen’ themselves. High school students, it is time to become mature, responsible and able body citizens by making sure your school friends do what is right—do not look the other way. It is time to accept responsibility for this terrible crime and make sure it does not happen again in your schools.

Media and the absence of truth

February 19, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

The Media—“Stupid is as stupid does”

One has to be careful to what you listen too. If you spend too much time listening to media outlets, well, you are possibly becoming dumber. Yes, that is right. How much time you spend reading, listening, or watching media sources directly relates to how many brain cells you have and how high of an IQ you can attain too.

Our media obviates intelligence and common sense. There are only 3 ways one can kill brain cells and absorbing today’s news is #3. The media is causing such great havoc in America. Lies become truth and evil becomes good. There are so many individuals within the media culture that cannot be objective—their hate drives their decisions and their news stories.

Some would say, “It (what they say) might not be stupid, but it sure isn’t smart.” However, I proclaim that the media distorts what is true and good, and promotes evil intentions over justice and rightful thinking.

We are in a cultural battle for justice and truth. Do not look to our government to do what is right and just. You cannot solve a spiritual problem with worldly solutions. Democracy will fail the very institutions that support its creation and promotion. When God is taken out of the equation then democracy will eventually look to the “beast” for assistance.

My answer to the corruption within the media, Jesus Christ. He is and will always be the only way, the truth, and the life. It is only in the strength of the Holy Spirit that history changes for good and people become beacons of truth.

When one steals from God by taking a principle of God and then uses it for selfish motives there is a price to pay. God does not take stealing lightly and nor should we. If ‘freedom of the press’ is the principle by which you support your profession then do not insult me by taking away my freedom—my desire for the freedom of truth and enlightenment.

Do you feel it?

February 18, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

It’s Upon Us…Do You Feel It?

As I was shopping in Wal-Mart all of a sudden I could sense, no feel, the moving of the Holy Spirit. God asked, “Do you feel it?” God spoke to me often about the coming movement of the Spirit of God in America. I have been praying and waiting for it. It is not a revival, or awakening, or like anything else God has sent to America before.

You will not find this movement of God in our churches, nor will you not find it on God TV, nor will you find it in the most likely places, but you will find it in your local Wal-Mart and Starbucks; at the seashore and in the countryside corner. Those individuals that serve God by their egos will not be part of this movement.

It will be a movement initiated and supported by God alone—no personalities will be able to find profit in this movement. Beware all who serve God for profit—this movement will bring God’s judgment with it.

You will find this movement in our hospitals, our business, and wherever people are working and looking for help. Yes, the gay movement will be flooded with the Spirit of God and they will not know how to stop it.

Those who try to stop it God will exercise His judgment upon them. Those who oppose and ridicule God in this movement, God will kill with the words of His mouth. It is not like anything America has ever seen or known about before. It will bring fear and rejoicing to those who embrace it. The wisdom of God will fulfill God’s will in this movement.

Do you feel it? It is upon us! A movement of the Holy Spirit like what is recorded in Acts and early church history. Are you ready? Young men, get ready to see visions to perform and old men to dream dreams that will change history. Come, Lord Jesus, come!

Living a life of freedom

February 13, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Getting Out of Jail

I see so many of my Christian friends—those that are still in jail. Yes, they are in bondage either to themselves or to Satan. They have no freedom and are “carried about by an evil wind” that blows across their lives. They want and like being a Christian but that have kept some behavioral traits of past lifestyles. They are ‘luke-warm’, both Godly and worldly at the same time.

It is sad to see them without joy and in constant turmoil in their daily activities. God does have a remedy for this style of ‘jail-time’. Jesus was sent “To bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound” (Isaiah 61:1). Wouldn’t you like to be ‘really free’? I have a Biblical remedy for you.

In Isaiah 58 God talks about fasting, “Is not this the fast I have chosen? To lose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens and to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke (bondage)?”

I want you to do a new type of fasting this month or any month (it’s not a call to fast without food) a ‘spiritual fast’— a fast to find freedom! A spiritual fast can be without food at times but it is only a fast of saying ‘NO’. (Theological note: One cannot fast [a fast without food] unless God calls you to such a fast—at least for 40 days. Anyone can fast for a day or even a couple of weeks without food but a 40 day fast—no way—unless God calls you to such a fast. When Jesus fasted it was the Spirit of God that drove Him to fast 40 days in the desert without food or water.)

In a ‘spiritual fast’ God is asking us to say ‘NO’. Ask yourself, “Are you in any type of bondage?” Does fear dominate your life? Or, how about anger? Is it jealousy, a lifestyle trait, spending money, doubt or shyness?” It can be anything that stops the best God has to offer from producing fruit in your life. A ‘spiritual fast’ can help you.

For 40 days (or any lengthy number of days) challenge that flaw in the character that has placed you in jail. Any behavior that binds you, which you do not have freedom over. For 40 days just say “no” to the behavior. Begin your ‘spiritual fast’ by praying and asking God to keep you and strength to say no—just like Jesus, as He said no to Satan when Satan told Him to jump to the ground from a top of a building but Jesus said, “No, do not tempt God in doing evil.” You can do this, and make sure you quote this Scripture when you pray each day or time of temptation:

Matthew 4: 6-7 Then the devil takes him up into the holy city, and sets him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And said to him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and in their hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, you shall not tempt the Lord your God."

God wants us free and a ‘spiritual fast’ will bring freedom to your life. Take on just one aspect of your life at a time. If it is anger that dominates your life do not try to say No to every time you get angry about but just one aspect of your anger. Maybe it’s anger when someone gets in your way when you are driving—so every time you usually get angry just say “no”—relax and tell Satan, “Not today—not this time!” Do this for 40 days—declare a ‘spiritual fast’ as unto the Lord. You will be set free and your freedom in Christ of this aspect of anger will come to you on eagle’s wings, as bright as the morning sun. As Jesus said “no” so can you—declare a spiritual fast and fast as unto the Lord with Jesus at your side. Remember, a ‘spiritual fast’ is not saying ‘no to food’ but ‘no to that behavior’ that you are in bondage too. Once God gives you freedom from that aspect of your behavior, then you can tackle another aspect of your anger—another ‘Spiritual Fast’ for 40 days of saying “No!”

If you would like to know about a ‘Spiritual Fasting’ and saying ‘No’, email me. I want you free in Christ and victorious over any and all kinds of behavior bondage.

It’s your future–get prepared

February 11, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Your Future, My Future

All of us would like to know what is on the horizon—our future is important to each of us. How can one plan without knowing what is ahead? The trouble with knowing ‘our future’ is that it is more ‘a guess’ rather than ‘a science’.

I rarely know the specifics to my future. When I do, it is usually my present situation allowing me to decide my future circumstances. We like to be in control of our future—we like ‘calling the shots’. Nevertheless, God would like to be allowed into the mix.

God gave me some insight into all of our futures about 2 years ago. God wants His people to prosper in every way possible, especially financially, and God often gives us direction. Biblical stories and specific Bible verses support the truth of God directing our steps (our future).

God spoke to me; stating these specific words, “America will experience prosperity in the next eight years, no ten years.” I am sure many in the Body of Christ can witness to this advice. In fact, I am sure many Christians are already experiencing better financial or monetary gains. God indeed wants us to prosper. This is not just for us personally but for the whole Body of Christ to support each other and our communities.

You will find financial means to live a better and more productive lifestyle in the coming years. But, there are a few things that accompany financial increase. I suggest you do these things in the next 8 years: one, get out of debt—do not owe anyone or any institution anything; two, if you have to borrow make sure you do not get into any long-range commitment—pay off the credit line in 3-5 years; and three place cash aside in a personal safe in order to be prepared if an emergency arises–$5,000.00 for each member of your household.

I believe, but yet have I heard from others in the Body of Christ, that after 10 years of prosperity there will be a few years of financial collapse. We need to save and gain financial freedom in the next few years in order to be prepared for years of non-prosperity. Gold and silver are not good investments neither are certain goods that one might think you can barter with. I suggest having all things paid off, all material items to be in good working order and able to last for a few years, and have quick access to some money/cash to purchase items when you no longer have funds in your bank account.

As it was in the time of Joseph in Egypt so it will be in America. Church get ready and do not waste the times of prosperity God is giving you to become more in bondage to lines of credit or banks. It is time to plan for the possibility of hard times—it is time to save and “owe no man anything” as the Bible says.
