Guest article, ‘Having Preparation’

November 27, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Guest article by Otis Davis, on having preparation

Otis writes, “Hundreds of former military munitions bunkers ready to be turned into homes, are now for sale; Prepper ready, isolated, fenced, and completely off-grid.

Spiritual prepping meaning getting ready, preparing for the opportunities and challenges ahead do I need it? Are you building on the sand of this world or on the Rock of Jesus? How are you preparing to endure? How resilient are you? Spiritually speaking who are you listening to, trusting to guide you and your family? And when you listen does it make you feel anxious, fearful, upset, or angry? Are you entangled with this world? We are in the world, but we are not of the world. Do events in your life determine your attitude, being blown with every change like the wind? Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Ephesians 4:14 niv. Are you thirsty and heavily ladened? Find the well that never runs dry with the water that quenches your thirst. Cast off your heavy burdens with the forgiveness offered thru the loving sacrifice of Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life.

Get on the eternal power grid that never loses power. Build on the solid rock of Jesus and you will stand against the storms of this world. Be careful, stay calm, don’t be afraid, and don’t lose hope, if you don’t stand on your faith in Jesus you won’t stand at all. Isaiah 7:4&9. Are you grateful and thankful for what you have or unhappy and sad because of what you don’t have? Did you miss having your piece of the pie? The pie is bigger than you think, opportunities abound there is no limit if you believe, every day there are new opportunities, you have not missed out, think, and believe bigger. There are unlimited possibilities galore, and many times they contain challenges that we can overcome with God’s direction and help.

Are you a victim or a victor? Who do you believe Satan’s lies or God’s truth? Endure and wait for the Lord’s answer to your prayers. This determines your perspective, then colors your decisions and relationships, which then determines what you do. Protect your heart for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 See the bigger picture, connect the dots. God does. God can help you raise your perspective. But we want it now. We want it easy and quick. Satan uses that to convince and show us the easy and quick way, but many times it is a false mirage. It is trouble and it is not the best way. Maybe it turns out easy and quick then we think I got this, I don’t need God and his ways. We stumble over our pride and overconfidence.

You are unique. Pray and ask God what his unique plan is for you. He created you and designed you to live and do something in his unfolding plan. Read and listen to God’s truth: Prov 16:3 niv Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Prov 16:9 niv In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Jer 29:11-12 niv For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Phil 2:13-14 niv For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. Do everything without complaining or arguing. Rom 8:28 niv And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Prov 16:4 niv The Lord works out everything for his own ends — even the wicked for a day of disaster. Prov 19:21 niv Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Prov 21:5 niv The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.

Yes, we may need to do some physical prepping, but spiritual prepping is essential to build a house of faith, hope, and love; and it should be priority #1. Matthew 6:33 kjv But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. The books “Walking with God” and “Resilient” by John Eldredge would be a great resource along with his apps”.

Your future and God’s plans

November 26, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Stage Is Set

Our future is set; a series of Godly events are at hand. There is no escape and only one hope. Be warned! It is upon us, and Jesus is the author; He holds all of us in ‘the balance’.

I will be giving you three articles written by guest authors next week—articles that have been sent to me. I believe these articles are prophetic and timely and a preface to what I will be saying in an article on the last day of this month, November 30th.

If you are going to make it in these last days, you will need these qualities in your life: preparation, patience, and relationships based on love and forgiveness.

I would encourage you to read these articles carefully, pray about what the authors are assaying, and begin to mend your lifestyle and purpose for living.

None of us will be able to escape what God has planned for planet earth—your salvation depends on what you believe, what you do, and what you must become.

Hope, answers, and promises

November 24, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Promises Fulfilled—an abundance of hope

Far too often we live our life without hope or at least with very little hope. This is no longer the case if you will reach out and ask God to prove Himself by granting you ‘hope that will not make you ashamed’. You will no longer be ashamed to be a Christian or a person who has so little hope in this world. You will no longer be discouraged, depressed, and without a healthy self-esteem. God spoke to me this morning to write this!

He said to me, “Those days are passed; you will experience hope through times of joy, answered prayers, sincere and healthy relationships, and most of all have purpose that finally gives you fulfillment.”

I challenge you to try again—to pray prayers you have not prayed for years. You wanted God to answer what was on your heart. This is the time; this is your moment! Make this thanksgiving, a time of new beginnings by praying those prayers again and allowing God to answer them. Pray without reservations but with feelings and passion. Allow God to surprise you and allow your soul to rejoice in God for keeping His promise and commitment to you. Yes, pray those unanswered prayers of the past and watch God’s promise begin to be given to you in the present. It is Jesus who will be once again your friend, Savior, peace, and your answer for His glory alone.

A friend of mine, called me this morning and spoke this Scripture to me after I wrote this article/word of the Lord: Ezekiel 12: 23-28 which says: “…but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God. Again, the word of the Lord came to me, saying. Thus, saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged anymore, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.”

Simple truth #5 plus 1

November 14, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Simple Truth #5 plus 1

You will not get a free pass during the rapture. Just like other examples in the Bible, people who were raptured had this testimony, “That they pleased God.” Too often we think that if we did good works or just because we are Christians or even if ‘you think that if you believed in Christ’ that when God’s rapture comes we will be translated. You better think again! We must please God, and it is God who gives us this testimony “That we please God” it is not something we can give ourselves.

So better get prepared, do righteous works as stated in the Book of Revelation, and forget about pleasing others or ourselves. Everything is about God, and it is only Jesus who can give us this testimony “That we please God.”

Plus 1, this is a reminder that you have only 2 years left. Remember when I wrote an article about God telling me, “You have eight, no ten years.” I am not sure what that all means but my spiritual insight tells me that we have 10 years of preparation before things get very bad. So, get out of debt, whatever you have make sure it will last for 10 plus years without wearing out, get self-sufficient, and hopefully, you have the means to grow some food and have a food supply if you cannot purchase food for a few months or years. You have 2 years left so get going.

Simple Truth #4, sin is our #1 enemy

November 11, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Simple Truth #4 Try hating sin!

Sin is complicated and set everything in motion that is bad and wrong in this world. Adam blew it! He had everything perfect and a great relationship with God, but he was willing to accept his wife’s decision and thought ‘Maybe God is not telling me everything I could really have in this world. Maybe Satan is right.’ Oh, how wrong he was, and I am sure he regretted his decision up until his death.

You cannot beat sin. You are not stronger than your sin. Your sin is much too powerful than anything you can do or not do to erase sins’ effects in your life. Sin has spiritual components so powerful that it takes spiritual warfare to eliminate its effects within one’s life.

Sin is so powerful and complicated that it is man’s #1 enemy. It is sin that is destroying our way of life, all that America originally stood for, and every good relationship—turning even the best relationships sour.

God gave all that was dear to Him in order to help, allow, and strengthen man to overcome its hold on our lives. Sin creates lifestyles that are deadly; sin kills what is good and healthy; sin hides in so many ways so you will not reject its hold on your life. The Bible helps identify what sin is and how it controls your life.

You need to hate all that is sin, just as God hates sin. Romans 1:18-32 (KJV) has the best descriptions of sin. Read it, listen to it being read, memorize it, and begin to hate sin.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Let’s begin to hate sin and replace it with loving God. We do not hate the sinner but do all we can to help those who do not know the truth of God to see the error of their ways.

Simple Truth #3, there is always a choice

November 10, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Simple Truth #3 There is a spiritual component in everything

Good or bad, there is a spiritual component in everything. What we do, what we say, what we think, what we write, what we decide, what we try to do, and what we fail to do. All of creation has a spiritual component that can guide us in what we make, our attitudes, every motive, our plans, and how we accomplish them. God has made everything to respond either favorably or rejecting Him through the spiritual aspects of what, how, when, and why we do what we do.

Furthermore, and without debate, we are made for relationships and that has a spiritual component as well, either for good or for bad. You and I cannot avoid this truth. There is nothing in all that is that does not include a choice and therefore a spiritual aspect. Spiritual components are like a two-edged sword. No matter how you swing it, it cuts and produces results.

There are choices (decisions) before us all the time. You have a choice and Satan cannot stand in your way of making that choice—you must exercise your choice in everything you do. Satan wanted Christ to choose him when He was tempted in the wilderness during His 40 days of fasting. No matter who you are or what you are doing there is always ‘a choice’ before you. How you handle your spiritual component/your spiritual dilemma/your choice never goes away. You are always destined to choose, and that choice reflects on your spiritual condition. It is important to “choose wisely”, we hear this time and time again, and it is even more critical in these last days.

As the Bible states, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision” Joel 3:14.

There are consequences for all our decisions and choices and your choice always has a spiritual component that supports your outcome for either good or evil. This is why, God gave us Jesus so we could have positive results to what we decide and good can be on our side. Do not forget the man who came to Jesus having 2000 demons. People tried to restrain him, Satan was always tempting him, yet he chose to approach Jesus. He had a choice no matter what, and Satan along with the people could not restrain him. This is a story worth reading—a good choice with positive outcomes; it is always ‘good overcoming evil’ whenever you read the Bible. Mark 5:1-20

Simple Truth #2, the path to great faith

November 8, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Another Simple Truth: I am never worthy, the path to faith

I do not want to be noticed. I do not want to be ‘patted on the back’. No need to remember my name—I am not that important. I do not serve Christ to be recognized or serve the Body of Christ to make a name for myself.

I am unimportant, an unworthy servant, a sinner. If there is any good that I do or any kindness, strength, or faith that I pass on to others, it is only ‘Christ in me’, not me!

I am that servant that Jesus stated in Luke 17: 5-10: “So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘I am an unworthy servant; I have only done what was my duty.’”

This is great faith! Not the many answered prayers, not the number of healings at the laying on of my hands, nor the numerous miracles that got recognized by my actions. My faith is in humility and obedience to what the Holy Spirit wanted to do—this is my faith.

Simple Truth–the righteous

November 8, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Simple Truth: The righteous never feel full

Jesus stated in the Beatitudes: Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Jesus was saying that ‘the righteousness’ are hungry and thirsty all the time. They always want more of God and even when God gives them more, they still do not feel full but there is a constant and everlasting desire to want more and more—this is righteousness in action!

When a Christian no longer has that desire to want more and more, he/she is not considered by God to be righteous. This truth applies to each of the Beatitudes. We are always poor, mournful, meek, merciful, pure in heart, a peacemaker, and persecuted. These qualities are always in a Christian who believes in Christ and does His will. We never find complete attainment but are always on the journey to be more like Christ—always a humble servant of faith. As Jesus stated about having faith in Luke 17: 5-10: “So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants;[c] we have only done what was our duty.’”

Can you see it?

October 31, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Is God’s Church Going to ‘blow it’ Again?

Jesus asked the question, “Will there be, or will He find, faith on the earth when He returns?” My purpose in God is to make sure that does not happen—there must be great faith manifested on the earth before He returns! This is the kind of faith Jesus said, “We would produce greater miracles and healing than He did because He goes to the Father victorious and would send the Holy Spirit (the first Pentecost).”

I recently told you that a great awakening will be coming, and it started in the month of February. It has begun and there have been many prophecies and personal testimonies to this very fact. It is coming like a storm in the distance, you will see it and feel the wind of this Second Pentecost (this is what I call it since God told me not to call it a revival) before the storm is upon you.

It will be a combination of all movements of the Holy Spirit for the last 2000 years into one final movement of God with all the fulfillment of every verse of the Bible. But there are requirements for this second moving of the Holy Spirit. I will be writing many short articles called, “Simple Truths,” to help the Church acquire Righteousness, the righteousness you have never seen, felt, experienced, or manifested. You cannot become a part of this next great movement of God without it. Your light must shine, and you must produce works of righteousness that allow the unity of the saints so Christ can come back. It is now!

The Difference Between Truth and Theology

October 24, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Difference Between…

Theology will tell you that Christ could not carry His cross because He was too weak from all the beatings He received at the hands of the Romans.

But that is not true! It has never been the truth!

He could have carried His cross but instead, He was carrying all the sins of the world. My sin, your sin, sin past, and sin to come. That is why He needed help. It was the burden that God asked Him to carry that forced Christ to be unable to carry His cross.

God placed all the world’s sins, iniquities, and sicknesses upon Christ so you and I could be free—that is the truth, not some theological ideology.

This is the difference between theology and God’s truth and faithfulness.
