God does not offer easy

March 7, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

So, You Want Easy!

I have not written anything lately. I have been fighting spiritual battles that have literally consumed me. I was reminded by God yesterday, that “You have only one problem, that’s being spiritual, and you do not have any problems if you are spiritual.”

To get and stay connected to Jesus Christ every moment of the day for every purpose and in every situation is my #1 task. I lose site of the fact that “it is Jesus in me, not what I can do” that makes the difference and what honors the Father.

Therefore, I have been focused on one simple task, “To be a friend to God” all the time and whenever He calls. I cannot accomplish the will of the Father unless I feel as if I am His friend and abide in His love. His friendship and love are where I want to be all the time. But it is Satan that constantly works to drive a wedge between God and me, and he uses every means possible to accomplish his ultimate goal—for me to serve him and not God.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a good example of how Satan goes about his job description “to steal, kill and destroy”. He is after all of God’s creation and seeks to illuminate the promises of God working in our lives.

I wrote about this virus in my January 27th article. I wrote, “About two months ago (November 2019) the Holy Spirit moved upon me that evil (darkness if you will) will come upon the earth. I did not know what it was nor what God was referencing. It felt like a wave of evil that would come to America from outside its borders. I of course thought of many things that could happen but understood that it would be significant enough to place fear in the minds of Americans.

Now I know what God was telling me. The plague in China, the coronavirus outbreak, which China has ignored and tried to hide is slowly overtaking the world. It has caused fear to strike the hearts of many and the financial institutions of the world. Cases of the virus is up 60% and growing faster than we can contain the outbreak.

I am here to tell you that God knows what is happening and Christ has made a way for both His judgment and His grace. In the last days we will see much more of outbreaks of illnesses that man cannot cure immediately and therefore will kill many. This is a promise in the Bible, but God also gives grace and protection to those that are prepared and doing His will. Darkness will come and trouble will be found all around us, but to those who have made Christ their strength and purpose for living—you will have peace that can keep your heart and mind and not be overcome with fear and circumstances.”

I warned the Church and spoke what God gave to me, but often we want a life with Christ without trial, tribulations and problems. Christ did state this in the Gospel of John 16:33, “In this world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” It is peace and joy Jesus offers not fear and confusion. The Coronavirus comes from Satan and the folly of men; it is not one of God’s judgments. There is no need to fear or worry. To be prepared for the unexpected is always good but to act in fear and respond in worry is never God’s way.

If you are in fear and worry, repent and ask for God’s forgiveness. Now is a time to rejoice in what Jesus has done for us—His help, His protection, and His strength. “No plague is to come near the homes of the righteous”—this is God’s promise. So, claim the Scriptures of hope, protection and healing. Look to God the author and final say of our faith in Jesus Christ.

I am not looking for easy! I am looking for Jesus to be glorified in me and victory over this world and whatever Satan throws my way. “Give me Jesus” is what I pray and when Satan shows up, we are to resist him with Scriptures and the words of Christ. This is what ‘being spiritual’ is all about. This is what Jesus always wanted us to do!

Who is this Jesus?

Feb 5, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Which Jesus Are You Looking For?

The disciples of Christ were confused about their Messiah. Jewish people were looking for a Messiah that would drive out the Romans and place the Israel nation in a place of international importance. Jesus confused the people of Israel and still does today.

I can only imagine what it would have been like if I could have followed Jesus during His three years of ministry in Galilee. What will happen now, before and during His Second Coming, so many things will be different. It is the final Biblical prophecy of Christ that will soon be fulfilled. “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”, as it is stated in Revelation 1:1, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants, things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John”. It is this Christ who will be so dramatically different that the church needs to realize whom this Jesus really is and ‘be ready’ to accept who He is at His second coming.

We do not know much about Jesus before the creation event. God says to Jesus and the Holy Spirit, “Let’s make man in our image.” Man could have been made in some other image but as parents produce children in their image, it was God who initiated this process and made man & women in the image of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The church talks and preaches the Jesus who we know the most about “the Jesus that was made flesh and dwelt among us”, as the Gospels state. It is this Jesus that our faith is based on and who we believe in—Jesus, God as a man walking on the earth. But this is not the complete and total view of Christ. There is a Jesus coming that John did not recognize in Revelation. John did not recognize the Jesus who he walked with, who he loved, and who he witnessed being taken away into the clouds to heaven.

The Jesus witnessed by John in the Book of Revelation is frightening and all powerful. This Jesus that is coming back in ‘His full glory’ having the glory He had before the Trinity made man in Their image. This is Jesus, the Jesus that is “Jesus the same, yesterday, today, and forever.” This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, who Jesus really is—the combination of who Jesus was before the creation; the Jesus who walked on the earth and was crucified; and finally, the Jesus who is coming back in all His glory and power. This is the ‘same Jesus’—all three aspects of Christ now blended into one.

If you and I would see the Jesus who is coming back, we would also probably not recognize Him and would be afraid as John was in Revelation. It is time to see Jesus for who He is—past, present, and future. Jesus asked the Father for the glory He once had to be returned to Him when He prayed in the garden before His crucifixion. It is this glory that Jesus wanted in order to fulfill His destiny and which the Father said to Him, “Come sit at my side while I place all your enemies under your feet.” This is the Jesus that we need to see, serve, and worship.

I am looking for not just the Jesus who walked this earth, nor just the Jesus that was before time began, but the ‘forever Jesus’ that is all powerful and full of all the glory of heaven. I see and love this Jesus which all creation cries out to come back to earth and who John said, “Come Lord Jesus, Come.”

This is my Jesus who saw me before time began and created me; who loved me before I loved Him and saw me when He died for me; and finally, who will return in order to take me home to heaven to be with Him forever—He is my King!

Is there room for righteousness?

Feb 4, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Got Enough Room?

You know the story, “There was not enough room for Jesus in the inn.” Often, we do make room for Jesus in our lives. The same is true for the Holy Spirit—we do not make room for Him either. It is a terrible scenario for any person who is just not willing to allow God access to their life.

The Holy Spirit is the ‘definer of righteousness’. He alone ‘convicts us of righteousness’ or stated more clearly, the ‘giver of righteousness’. We get our righteousness through Him, and He alone is the one who drives us to God’s righteousness thereby creating Jesus’ righteousness in us.

Without the righteousness of Jesus in our lives, we are miserable and without hope. There is no hope outside of Christ’s righteousness producing works that will withstand the judgment of God. We must have God’s righteousness and all that it produces in our lives. In fact, the Bible uses the type of ‘a robe of righteousness’ when explaining what God is looking for and how it fits into our lives. Without ‘a robe of righteousness’, one cannot enter into heaven. We must have a robe of righteousness that is without dirt, spot, stain, or wrinkle in order to be presentable to God—in order to enter into His presence. It is indeed time to get dressed!

What is this righteousness and how can I receive it? Well, it is not righteousness that you can produce. “Our righteousness is as filthy rags,” the Apostle Paul says. Here are some examples of righteousness we create—righteousness that is not good enough—man’s version of righteousness. (These attitudes/qualities come from laws not from grace.)

I am better than you, so I am righteous.

I give more than you, so I am righteous.

I dress better than you, so I am righteous.

I have newer things than you, so I am righteous.

I live better than you, so I am righteous.

I am more educated than you, so I am righteous.

I have more quality things than you, so I am righteous.

Can’t you see I am better, so God has made me righteous!

Jesus said, “No one is good but God.” If Jesus did not call Himself good where does that leave you and me? Jesus said, “If your righteousness does not exceed the righteousness of the religious leaders of the day, then you are more lost than they are.”

Righteousness is not about keeping God’s laws or doing better than people similar to us, but rather, God’s righteousness is about doing what God wants, the way He wants, and with the motive He wants. It is not about what you can do but what the Holy Spirit does through you.

You and I cannot do God’s righteousness. It is the Holy Spirit that does God’s righteousness in us, not for our glory but for God’s glory alone.

Can you forgive people without judgment and condemnation? Can you love people without showing partiality or without measuring out your love to them? Can you see people as ‘more worthy’ than you see yourself?

This is how it works with God. The Holy Spirit does only what the Father wants—He glorifies the Father and the Son. So, it is the Holy Spirit that brings us repentance and forgiveness. This then leads us into righteousness if we accept Him producing works that only the Holy Spirit can create/produce. Then this allows us to stand in the judgment of God without being judged. The Holy Spirit gets us ready for judgment—judgment that is in our favor and for the purposes of God.

After the next awakening in America, which will come through great repentance the likeness you and I have never seen, then the season of righteousness will come upon us. God is getting His church ready for the judgment and the ‘placing of all things under the feet of Christ’. All things will be placed under Christ in the earth and in heaven. Come Lord Jesus, come!

Fire destroys fires

Jan 28, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Where’s the Fire?

I traveled to Australia many years ago to do graduate work. I had a wonderful year studying in Australia and saw God do many miraculous things while I was there. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the citizens of Australia and love their wildlife and countryside.

The recent fires in Australia did not take me by surprise. There were devastating fires in their country while I was studying in Adelaide. Nevertheless, I was following the fires and was amazed by the sheer number of fires throughout the nation.

The fires had gone on for a few weeks but on a Friday about 3 weeks ago while I was walking and praying, I decide to pray that God would have compassion and put out one fire a day. I was not going to get completely involved even though God had given me a gift to pray against fires.

This gift came to me years ago while I was working as a professor for APU and working in the Victorville area of CA teaching teachers how to teach. It came to me one evening while driving home through the high desert listening to Christian music and praying & singing.

God spoke to me from literally from nowhere and with no particular thought process or reason on my part, He said, “I am the God of fire and you can have power over fire too.” I literally thought, “What? Where did that come from and why would God say this to me?” I did not know at the time that within 3 days I would be praying against a fire that was burning though the mountains, headed toward my ranch totally out of control and threatening homes throughout the canyon.

Saturday afternoon I went to the top of the mountain on my property and prayed against the fire as I watched planes fly overhead, dropping fire retardant all around me on both sets of mountains circling O’Neal Canyon.

I learned that day that God had given me a gift and exactly as I prayed that is how God put out the fire. This happened again during the huge ‘Day Fire’ in the forest north of LA. I decided to pray for the fire as I watched it while driving I-5 north out of LA to Kern County. God told me not to pray now but with my students at APU.

So, we prayed together the following afternoon, and I was specific with them to pray a certain type of pray in a certain sequence, as the Lord told me. The prayers were answered during the next 3 days exactly as we prayed. It was all over the news how the fire was contained and how it amazed the fire-fighters. The students read about it in the papers and watched it on TV—they were amazed how God answered their prayers—perfectly and exactly!

So, back to the fire in Australia, when I decided to pray for the fires in Australia, I waited for the Lord to speak, but having no word from the Father, I, out of compassion, decided to pray a simple prayer, “Lord, put out one fire a day.” There were over 30 fires burning at that time.

The next day, the Lord came to me when I asked Him about my previous prayer. He said, “Ask that I put out 2 to 3 fires each day.” So, I did, “God put out 2-3 fires each day.” He did just that starting the next day. A series of rainstorms came upon Australia putting out fires across the nation. I asked that it be done for a week and that is what happened.

God gives us gifts—gifts that come from the Holy Spirit and it is these gifts that we destroy the works of the devil. The fires in Australia did not come because of climate warming but because of the devil. The devil knows only to lie and to steal, kill and destroy.

It is the fire of the Holy Spirit that destroys the fire of the devil’s works. Find you gift (or gifts) and operate them according to the will and requests of God. These gifts are meant to give glory to God and destroy the works of the devil. It is time to believe—it is time to be as Christ wants us to be. We are the Sons of God and the Friends of Jesus Christ—this is who we are!

An update of hope and darkness

Jan 27, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Updates of Hope & Darkness

I often do a lot of praying in the mornings when I walk the dogs and feed the animals. It is “spiritual therapy” for me. I have many things happen when I am praying and walking. God it seems is waiting for me to connect with Him. I believe God not only answers my prayers but keeps them—never forgetting them—so to accomplish His will.

First, I have an update that needs your attention. I received an email from The Briefing (message #060 by Lou Engle) located in Colorado Springs. Here is a quote from the article. Lou writes: “At the same time I had my dream, my pastor Che Ahn also had a dream in which he came with a message to the Church and the Church did not receive him, so he came to a gathering of those in the LGBTQ community, and they received his message. He told me that he believed the dream was speaking of a day when the Church would not be prepared for it, but the LGBTQ community would receive the Gospel, and many would be saved and transformed by the power of God. He said he believed that what the hippies were to the Jesus Movement in the 1960s, the LGBTQ community would be to the next Jesus Movement. God is going to come to those that the Church has not loved and is not prepared to receive. This breakout of freedom will shatter every religious box in the Church, but it will bring a new love song to America.”

I can speak personally that this will happen. God has put the gay community on my heart to pray for them for many years now. This is exactly what I had been praying. The Church has not treated the gay community with love or concern. You can learn how to treat with love and truth those who are gay by visiting the website of His Way Out Ministries under the leadership of Phillip Lee. The church has failed, yet God’s mercy and love will prevail.

Lou and the church need no longer to wait. Myself and others have already made a way to what the article is saying is going or wanting to happen, please read “The Briefing 060 – You Said You Would Deliver Us!”

There is another twist to what God wants to do. God spoke to me to pray that “blindness” would come upon the gay community—that they would not be able to see to accomplish their plans and agendas. This was new to me because I had always prayed that God would visit the gay community with forgiveness, salvation and love—something the church has never done. But there is a two-fold process for God reaching the gay community, prayers of love and forgiveness and prayers of blindness to not accomplish their agenda. This is what God is wanting us to do!

Secondly, about two months ago the Holy Spirit moved upon me that evil (darkness if you will) will come upon the earth. I did not know what it was nor what God was referencing. It felt like a wave of evil that would come to America from outside its borders. I of course thought of many things that would happen but understood that it would be significant enough to place fear in the minds of Americans.

Now I know what God was telling me. The plague in China, the coronavirus outbreak, which China has ignored and tried to hide is slowly overtaking the world. It has caused fear to strike the hearts of many and the financial institutions of the world. Cases of the virus is up 60% and growing faster that we can contain the outbreak.

Darkness will come and trouble will be found all around us, but to those who have made Christ their strength and purpose for living—you will have peace that can keep your heart and mind and not be overcome with fear and circumstances.

It is time to do what Jesus wants us to do—do not wait! I am glad God warns us but with every warning of the Holy Spirit there is something we must do—keep ourselves in the love and the will of the Father.

We must not just live from day to day but live God’s purposes and the direction of the Holy Spirit. Come Lord Jesus, come!

Politics & Laughter

Jan 17, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Politics of God: Do You Hear God Laughing?

I can only imagine what it would have been like if I could have followed Jesus during His three years on ministry in Galilee. During and before His Second Coming things will be different. It is this final prophecy of Christ that will be fulfilled, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”. Revelation 1:1: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants, things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.”

It’s a God-thing that the world is falling apart, not a climate man-made thing. Man prides himself on controlling the outcomes of all that takes place on this planet. He refuses to acknowledge God and if he did, he would have to acknowledge his sin. To most humans, religion is a weakness and not a force to be bothered with.

Wildfires they say is a symptom of climate change not God’s judgment.

Sickness is man-made not a product of man’s sin.

God is not coming back; we will not let Christ return.

Jesus is at the most was a good man or a prophet, never is or has He been the Son of God.

God laughs at the plans of mankind. Man’s inventions or global planning will never undermine the determined will of God. It has always been our pride that precedes our destruction. In the last days, Satan will support man’s will to fight against God. Satan will deceive many and produce miracles in order to promote and allow mankind to worship him. Satan wants to be like God and this desire will bring his judgment.

California is in a similar position. It prides itself on being ‘the first’ in so many things in America. Californians think that they set the trends for all Americans and its money and global influence is all that matters. Do you hear God laughing?

When I travel around the state, I sense the judgment of God. God is in the process of judging pride in all the world no matter where it is and who is promoting itself above the Father and against Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is moving in ways that we have never seen before. California, you are in such deep trouble with the Trinity!

It will not be long before the people of California will live in fear. No one will come to your rescue nor will you be able to find answers to your predicament. God will not allow it. You are doomed in your life of pride and the consequences that it brings.

I call upon all Christians living in this state to cry out for mercy and find repentance. The judgment of God will fall upon all of us unless we find mercy to help in time of need. It is only in repentance that the Holy Spirit can bring that we will be able to avoid the darkness of God’s judgment.

We need to find repentance, righteousness, and judgment that condemns darkness and rewards righteousness. We must find ‘revival’ in what only the Holy Spirit can bring.

Let us pray, “God let me stand in your mercy, abide in your love, and offer forgiveness to all who ask of us Your forgiveness. Let me be like Jesus and produce the works of the Holy Spirit. I fear You and trust in You for today, tomorrow and forever…Amen.”

Donkey vs. Selfishness

Jan 14, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Part 2: To Ride Your Donkey, It Takes Selflessness

To ride a donkey is not easy, that is, if your donkey is God’s judgment. Let me explain, as it was with Mary the mother of Jesus and Jesus before His crucifixion, both had to give up what they wanted to fulfil what God wanted.

Mary was one of the most humble and selfless individuals in the Bible. She allowed herself to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit, was willing to suffer ridicule and shame for being pregnant outside of marriage in a very religious culture, and did not want to be married to Joseph even though she was pregnant until the birth of Christ. She did not think of herself first; she thought only on what God wanted no matter the consequences and the shame that went with it.

Jesus likewise was completely without pride and self-motivation. The Bible says He suffered the shame and rejection of being crucified on a cross and was willing to become sin so we might be without sin. He gave no thought to what this would do to His reputation, name, or legacy. He knew that “to do the will of the Father” would be His legacy not what He wanted or how He would like things to happen.

Both individuals were selfless people. Totally unselfish, extremely humble, without self-motivation, and thought of only what God wanted. The same example should be our lives as we respond to God. Want to ride on God’s donkey of judgment destroying the works of darkness, you have to humble oneself. It is only in selflessness that we can execute judgment.

Not in pride or that we are somehow better than others but in meekness, humility, and self-denial. I want to be part of the Kingdom of God and it requires that I fight using the armor of God to destroy everything that exalts itself against Jesus Christ. I cannot do this if I am a ‘somebody’—God only uses nobodies that seek God’s will alone in humility not thinking of themselves.

Yes, it is just that simple. You cannot execute God’s judgment on any form of darkness unless you do it God’s way and for His Glory alone. It is never about you or me but rather judgment is about God and bringing Glory to Jesus Christ.

Want judgment, want justice, want victory, then try unselfishness. Complete and total selflessness without consideration to how it will affect you socially, personally or religiously. God gives donkeys of judgement to the humble—only the humble.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth,” Matthew 5:5.

Riding your donkey

Jan 12, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Are You Riding Your Donkey?

I like animals; I’m so glad God uses animals to accomplish His will. The donkey is central to Old Testament ministries and the ministry of Jesus Christ, and the donkey is an animal of burden—a pack animal, that has no significant place in mother nature other than carrying freight.

But if your own a donkey you know that donkey can be used to protect other animals that cannot defend themselves, like sheep or goats. It can drive off and even kill mountain lions or coyotes. A donkey seems docile but there is a part of its nature that confronts that which is potentially harmful or dangerous.

In the Old Testament’s judges and prophets rode donkeys and in the New Testament; it was the donkey that brought Jesus to Bethlehem to be born and at the end of His ministry into Jerusalem to be crucified. The donkey is God’s sign and symbol of His judgement. Show me a donkey and I will show you God’s Hand of Judgment. Jesus stated this at the beginning of His ministry: Luke 4:18-19 says: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Jesus quotes this scripture which come from Isaiah 61:1-2, but He leaves out the final phrase “and the day of vengeance of our God”. Why? He leaves His judgment for what follows after His Crucifixion. Christ leaves His judgment to the Church—what is prophesied by Isaiah to what will happen after His resurrection. Christ does not ignore His judgment but leaves it for us and the working of the Holy Spirit in the years up to His Second Coming.

Why is this important? He leaves what He is to do to us, to fulfil His purposes and will. Jesus states and cries over Jerusalem that destruction will come because Israel has rejected His message and crucified Him. (Destruction came to Israel by the armies of the Roman Empire in 70 A.D.)

There are always consequences for rejecting Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit. It is inevitable. Jesus came to proclaim peace but rejecting His peace means only judgment. Christ’s judgment comes through His Church. We are to place all things under the feet of Christ. All things must be in subjection to Him. We are to exercise God’s Judgement upon the powers of darkness. We are called to battle against Satan and all that he does.

This is your calling—to ride a donkey. We are to usher in the judgment of God. Christ came riding upon a donkey and left this world riding a donkey—this was His sign to all of us to fulfill God’s judgment— “and the day of vengeance of our God.”

We are called to battle darkness.

We are called to destroy the works of the devil.

We are called to dress ourselves with the armor of God.

We are called to be light in darkness—Christ’s light in us dispels darkness.

We are called to ride our donkey, just as Christ gave us the example to ride.

If judgment and the warnings of judgement is not part of your message of Jesus Christ, you are failing what God, Jesus, told us to do. Billy Graham often spoke of God’s judgement when preaching salvation. Every minister of the Grace of Christ speaks to the Judgment of Christ.

The offer of mercy requires the consequences of judgment if mercy is rejected. So, let’s ride our donkeys and speak of judgment while destroying the powers of darkness in this world. This is our calling—this is what Jesus would want us to do.

A Godly & Timely New Year’s Resolution

Jan 9, 2020 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Mark Chapter 16: your new year’s resolution

I am asking all who follow my blog/writings to memorize this chapter during the month of January 2020. Start by working on only one verse a day and then adding a new verse each day thereafter as you work your way through this chapter. It will be the best New Year’s resolution you have ever made.

There are so many important truths in this chapter that are not in the other Gospels. God will open your eyes to the truth in this chapter, and I am sure the Holy Spirit will call you to repentance and righteousness as you read, memorize, and ponder these 20 simple verses. You do not have to use the KJV; use a Bible version that you are comfortable with, but remember as Jesus’ disciples struggled with His resurrection so do we.

God wants to take us from the Cross of Christ’s death through His resurrection and life to performing the works Jesus confirming your testimony of Christ with signs and wonders of the Holy Spirit.

“And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulcher at the rising of the sun.

3 And they said among themselves, who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulcher?

4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

5 And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

6 And he saith unto them, be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

8 And they went out quickly and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they anything to any man; for they were afraid.

9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

11 And they, when they heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.

13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” KJV

2020 and Beyond

The Good, the Bad, and the Unity: 2020 and Beyond

The Good: There has been so many positive words or prophecies regarding the Church’s future. God is proclaiming He is on the move and looking for His bride to respond. I believe that 2020 and beyond will contain years of blessings, but we need to be wise and prudent when it comes to responding to what God will be doing.

As I have stated frequently, it is crucial that believers get out of debt. We have about 5 years to make sure all debt is paid off, and also to have reserved funds for the uncertainties that will be coming in about 6 to 7 years. The next years will bring spiritual and financial blessings, but they are intended to get us ready for years of turmoil and struggle.

It is no accident that our economy is prospering. God wants His Church to prosper in so many ways and to prepare itself for years of monetary depression. So, let’s claim His promises and live within the prosperity of God’s blessings and truths.

The Bad: As good abounds so will darkness. Satan knows God’s plans to bless us and Satan will try at every turn to steal the blessings God gives us. Satan’s job is to steal, kill, and destroy all that God does regarding His children. We must live under God’s protection. We must prepare for battle. This is what God called His church to—to destroy the works of the devil.

All to often, we like God’s blessings, but we avoid the battle. As we see the world in constant conflict and fighting so it is with God’s church. “The Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force” Matthew 11:12. If we do not fight against darkness then darkness will take away everything God has given us.

If you want to keep what God has promised and given to you, then prepare yourself for the battles of the Kingdom of God. You and I must be watchmen and warriors within the Body of Christ. We need to accept that God has called us to His battle against darkness. We need the Armor of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. So, learn to fight, not against other human beings but against ‘principalities and powers of darkness’ in this world.

The Unity: We cannot receive the will of God without unity. It is the unity that is found in the Holy Spirit that allows us to receive and accomplish God’s plans and win in our struggle against darkness. You want revival L.A. then get unity. You want the next great awakening America then find unity in the Spirit. You want to live within the prosperity of God’s blessings it is the unity of the saints that will make this happen. You want to destroy all the works of the devil and place the devil under the feet of Christ then you will have to have unity of the Spirit within the Body of Christ. It is only in unity that we will find the final fulfillment of God’s will. As Jesus prayed, “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me” John 17:21.

So, let’s fulfill Jesus’s prayer. Almost all examples of God’s plans spoken about in the Bible required unity in some manner and purpose. We must be in agreement even though we are not the same. It is only the unity in the Holy Spirit that will bring about the total accomplishment and finality of God’s plans. It is time to pray for unity and strive for the unity of the Spirit. This is what Jesus would want us to do.
