“Without hope my people perish”

July 9, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

You ask, where’s the Hope?

God says, “Hope does not come without the battle!”

It is easy to lose or even deny oneself hope in any given situation on any given day. Without hope, we are miserable, depressed, and feel rejected by God. God places a great deal of importance on His kids having hope. Satan tries often to get me to become despondent and lethargic at the beginning of my day. He wants me to begin my day without hope and therefore depressed; Satan wants me hopeless and lonely. This is one of his job descriptions, but the Holy Spirit speaks just the opposite to me by telling me to rejoice and praise the Lord even when it seems the darkest—when God feels far away.

Recently the U.S. Supreme Court finally ruled in favor of religious freedoms, as specifically stated in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. I rejoice in God giving His kids the opportunity to express and stand up for God in our schools. When a coach can now pray at a football game in front of whoever is there, it is time to ‘thank God’ for His wisdom in overcoming the lies and deceptions Satan has put on our culture.

However, there is more we all can do, and do it NOW! God wants to take back our schools and this can only be done together, as one voice and without fear. Without going into a lot of detail, God gave me a program, that would place the opportunity for all and any Christian student(s) to express their religious freedoms in public schools, over 20 years ago. It did not come without great struggles, much persecution, and many days of prayers. God came to me while driving to my job and said, “I want you to put me back into schools.” I replied, “I can’t, and I don’t want to.” Then I paused for a couple of minutes and said, “God, you will have to help me.” This is how it all began. I did not know what to do, how to do it, and for what purposes it would bring.

A few years later the program was born, “Foundations of Freedom” (FoF) originally named/called, “In God We Trust”. (You can find what this program is all about at, www.foundationsoffreedom.org.) It is legally correct and sound; it has been tested/piloted; and gives America’s students the opportunity to learn about how religious persons, events, and historical artifacts shaped American lives and political decisions.

You need to bring this program to every school in your community. The education community in your area cannot deny this program from becoming part of your school’s curriculum or a student’s learning process. Go to the website now and learn about what FoF is all about. It will change your life and allow every student who chooses ‘to be a light in the darkness’.

Forward this article to friends, your church, educational teachers, and political leaders, but especially to your children or grandchildren. It is time to rejoice as you and I march around the walls of Jericho that has held our school hostage. It is time to act, to march, to speak upon the mountain tops, to bring the truth of God into dark places. Do what Jesus has always been asking of you…be that light on a hill for all to see!

DO THIS NOW!

It’s all about Ruth

June 13, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Last Days Survival–it’s all about Ruth

Ever read the Book of Ruth? Good, read it again and again! It will save your life in these Last Days. It is obvious that these are the ‘last days’ as spoken by Jesus Christ in the Gospels. I am not afraid though I often worry for my kids and close friends. I want all of them to make it; to endure the great destruction that is upon us. I want all of them to make heaven their home no matter the cost, loss of property, and severe persecution.

Without hope and patience, strength of character, and unity of the saints no one will make it to the very end. It will be those individuals (not the ones that planned enough or tried to hide from God’s judgment) who did not love this world but loved each other in the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the truth of Jesus Christ that make it.

These last days are not about you or me but only about Jesus and His coming back to claim all that is His and ‘His battle’ against evil and darkness thereby placing all things under His feet and in His control. The last days are meant for all things to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and His judgment against Satan and all who follow him.

To make it, i.e., to endure all the destruction that will take place on earth, we must follow the guidance of the Scriptures. It is in the Book of Ruth that I find the greatest hope and the best examples of what we must do to become victorious in Christ.

Here are some insights into what God wants us to see through the Book of Ruth:

1. Ruth left behind all that she knew and loved. She did not want more of what she knew but more of God who she did not know.

2. Ruth knew that she would be an outsider and possibly persecuted if she would live in a foreign country.

3. Ruth wanted ‘relationship’ not security or prosperity—she saw the true meaning of love through Naomi and that is what she wanted for herself.

4. Ruth humbled herself and was willing to act upon advice she received from others—she considered herself a nobody/a stranger in a new country.

5. Ruth fell in love with an older man, Boaz, who could not believe a much younger woman would respect and love him. It was this type of love that we find between Christ and the Church. God always asks for honor and desires that we love Him. Love is a choice, and we must choose to love God even when nothing around us is good and without hope.

6. Ruth became an ‘overcomer’ in so many ways. In these last days, we must also become ‘overcomers’ as stated in the Book of Revelation. How does this happen? Through the blood of Jesus Christ and the word of our testimony. Do you have a testimony? A testimony that is yours and no one else. Your testimony must be yours alone, not borrowed, not duplicated but solely yours in content, impact, power, and truthfulness. (Ruth’s testimony, Ruth 1:16-17)

7. Ruth learned to love, and it is this kind of love that we must have—it is not given, earned, duplicated, or attained through education. This love comes from commitment, from the heart, and is given freely to others without personal gain.

This is how we will survive in these last days. We must become like Ruth. We must become overcomers having a personal testimony. We must love Jesus freely and without reservation.

Guest writer/Phillip Lee

June 7, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Guest Author/article writer/Phillip Lee

Yes, once gay-identified, but never ever proud of the fact.

It is 1981, I am living in San Francisco and very much a member of the gay community. On a Sunday afternoon, I leave my apartment and walk down Powell Street toward Market Street, the main drag of downtown San Francisco.

The closer and closer I get to Market Street, clearly, something is going on because the boulevard is lined with a huge crowd of people. I have happened upon my first Gay Pride Parade.

I cannot believe what I am witnessing. Frankly, the first thought that occurred to me was, “Why aren’t these people being arrested?” largely due to the pornographic nature and displays that are parading by, one after another after another. And, I am thinking, “This is what I am to be proud of?”

It was my first and last gay pride parade.

Today, far, far beyond equal rights for many groups in America in their attempts to reweave the social, cultural, and political fabric of this country, is an unquenchable thirst for power.

Right on the heels of the power quest is a relentless crusade by many groups for acceptance and to gain society’s stamp of approval on a considerable list of various behaviors.

When same-sex marriage became legal throughout America (but not lawful in the Kingdom of God), the entire lid to Pandora’s Box came off. Various groups that had been for a very long time standing along the sidelines waiting their turn busted out of the box and began to be much more vocal and visible demanding to be recognized and accepted.

And, let me be perfectly clear by stating, we the Church did contribute to the past, and the ongoing cultural vacuum that has allowed the redefinition of marriage, family, etc. to happen with so little resistance.

Frankly, in the 17 years, I spent as a gay-identified man, which included witnessing my first and last gay pride parade in 1981, I frequently found myself scratching my head and marveling at why the gay community adopted the rainbow as their emblem.

It was both confusing and perplexing then. But not now.

It is possible to desire, welcome, and even invite the presence of God but ignore, if not totally dismiss, any possible judgment of God.

But not so fast.

Genesis 9:13 says, "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth."

Clearly, the rainbow signifies the promise of God regarding God’s judgment on the world.

Interesting, I was once so deceived to think I would not have to pass through the judgment of God.
And, lest we forget.

The flood of God’s judgment came first.

The rainbow of the presence of God then followed.

The exclamation, "Don’t judge me!" is completely and totally misplaced and inaccurate.

Judgment will come – to each and every one of us.

Leaving Jesus Behind

June 6, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Leaving Jesus Behind…the challenge!

The Bible has lots to say about trying to do things on your own. Too often we leave Jesus behind. We see this in the news every day. If we would only listen and apply the truths found in the Bible, Jesus would be walking with us and going with us in everything we do.

It is easy to ‘leave Jesus behind’. You do not even have to try hard to accomplish this task. All one must do is to not to invite Jesus along, or better yet, ignore that Jesus is your friend, nor believe that Jesus does not care about what you do. There are lots of biblical examples of these facts, and in these last days, for one to ignore or remove Jesus from what you are about to do, will only invite God’s wrath into the very situation you are planning to do on your own.

Leaving Jesus behind creates confusion, allows Satan to manipulate your actions and attitudes, and most of all, gives other people control over not only your choices but the outcomes of your actions. This is presently happening in the policies and actions of our elected officials, and it is sad to see our nation on a collision course with the spiritual darkness stated in the Book of Revelation.

Don’t believe me then read the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. When Jewish people continued with their faith in God even when they were slaves in a foreign land, God continued to bless them and protect them, or how about the Book of Esther, where God saved a whole nation when just a few individuals followed God’s truths and depended on His mercy to deliver them.

When you leave Jesus behind only trouble comes one’s way. Take for instance the example of the disciples leaving Jesus behind when Jesus said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” (Note: even though Jesus stated this promise, one should not tempt God and think you do not have to do anything to keep Jesus near, the opposite is very true.) If one wants Jesus to “never forsake you” then act as you believe it; invite Jesus to be part of all you do.

Twice the disciples left Jesus behind. That is why Jesus showed up after His death and resurrection. One, He walked with two disciples along the road, and yet they did not recognize them even though they said, “Did not our hearts burn within us when He spoke.” And there is a better second example, when the disciples went fishing with Peter and could not catch any fish until a mystery man (Jesus) called out from the shore saying, “Cast your net on the other side of the boat.” (Once again, read these stories in the Bible.)

When Jesus shows up everything changes; always has and always will! Every time you tell Jesus what you want to do or will be doing, you are inviting Him along. Just say, “Jesus, I will be doing this or going here,” or “What do you think Jesus what I should do or decide in this situation.” Every time you do this, you push Satan aside, stop people’s influence over you, and opens the door for Christ to come in. It is just that simple! Furthermore, since yesterday was Pentecost Sunday, if you also leave the Holy Spirit out of the decision-making processes of your life and do not understand how the Holy Spirit works and how He supports the Trinity (read Proverbs) you will fail for sure. Why did Christ tell all His disciples to stay in Jerusalem and not to begin their ministries and fulfill their calling in Christ? Jesus knew that it would be the Holy Spirit living in His disciples that would help them, comfort them, and give them the tools to remember everything Jesus said to them. This is taking Jesus with you—living in the Holy Spirit.

How does one live in this world without anointing, power, and gifts from God—this is a receipt for total spiritual failure! I challenge you to operate under God’s promise and protection—it will save your life in these last days.
