Emotions & Politics vs. The Word of God

Guest Article by Phillip Lee

The normalization of homosexual practice has to a very large degree occurred due to individuals and churches shunning responsibility, by their silence, that God’s truth on the subject is just too risky and not valuable enough, ultimately seeing God’s truth as optional.

Therefore, it should not be surprising that God’s absolute truth has been and continues to be revised and rejected regarding homosexual practice.

In June 2015, when America legalized same-sex marriage, the lid on Pandora’s Box came flying off, immediately generating a downward spiral, a continuous deterioration of truth largely due to the mishandling of God’s truth by the ones it was entrusted to.

There is no denying culture’s influence in reshaping truth but also believers who have ultimately allowed the truth to become so denigrated that truth is now, in some eyes, relative and flexible.

As the Apostle Paul predicted, we will no longer endure sound doctrine according to 2 Timothy 4:3. If current trends continue, I am convinced the Biblical view and truth regarding homosexual practice, will be that many will be tempted to continue appeasing culture rather than God’s truth constituting a betrayal of The Church’s function.

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

The faithful to and for God must indeed count the cost of remaining faithful and unwavering to His Word. The days forward will require strength and resolve as continued heat and pressure will continue and intensify.

Indeed, there are deep, critical, and vital issues before us today with raging political theological currents doing their utmost to submerge the Church.

Clearly, real and vital issues about the healing and transformation of sexual brokenness have and continue to sharply divide with many lives hanging in the balance. We, the Church, will not serve humanity, unity, or the cause of Christ Jesus by ignoring the differences that exist or by sticking our heads in the sand.

We must not allow emotion or the present political climate to dictate to the Church what we believe nor what we do to further God’s Kingdom. The time is very, very near when many must decide, whether or not they will continue to travel the narrow road with Jesus.

This is a time for The Church to stand unwaveringly on the Word of God. There was a time when The Church set societal standards. It is only with God’s absolute truth in our hearts, we can go forward to have conversations that uphold His truth thereby changing our culture and revealing the love of Christ to all the world.

It is possible to both speak and express the heart and mind of God regarding homosexual practice.

Stories of HOPE

May 6, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

A Time of Hope

Today and every day is a Time of Hope in Jesus Christ! God recently impressed upon me to write more about hope—as if He was telling me to give the Body of Christ ‘articles of hope’. Even when the future is bleak and seems without any hope for a better day, God wanted me to let His kids know that in Jesus there is always hope and if we can reach out and through faith believe in God’s hope for today, that we can find and receive the hope that is offered through Christ to all who believe in HIM in every circumstance and situation.

Yes, Jesus offers hope that will not allow you to be ashamed and broken-hearted if you can believe in God’s promises.

So, in the next few articles, I will be writing about HOPE. Hope that will help you and strengthen you and support you in times of trials and testing. These are the last days as God has promised would come before Christ’s return. It is so easy to see and realize what is taking place in the world around us. We are being bombarded with the fulfillment of every verse in the Bible. Indeed, all verses no matter how small or great will be fulfilled (accomplished) in this world and everyone will acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God’s Son while the wrath of God’s Son, Jesus, is taking place in all nations even now as I write to you.

The Holy Spirit has given me insight into the Bible as I have never known, and I will be sharing stories of hope and encouragement for everyone so as to increase your faith in God’s purposes and plans.

So, get ready for HOPE—HOPE that will not allow your heart to faint in these last days!

Our loss is God’s gain

April 28, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

God & Government

G & G Series #3 Our loss is God’s Gain

During the past year, we have seen great conflict in heaven, between nations, families, and so many individuals—Mathew 11:12b, “the kingdom of heaven endures violence, and the violent take it by force.” The conflict, the violence, and the battle will continue to rage. Everywhere we turn there is a battle raging between good and evil, between darkness and light, between God’s kingdom family and Satan’s kingdom followers.

As I have stated many times over, the Image of the Beast, the Antichrist, and the Mark of the Beast are here and have been since the time of Christ. Just as the Apostle John says in

1 John 2:18, “Little children, it is the last time. And as ye have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists, whereby we know that this is the last time.” Yes, these are the last days and the war in the Kingdom of God is raging.

I challenge you to watch the news accounts as to what is taking place throughout this world and try to discredit my statements. Youth dying in record numbers—committing suicide and feeling alone and lost; children dying of the measles; Covid, here to stay—killing the elders in record numbers; wars and threats of war (Ukraine); money falling in value daily; a lying media to manipulate the masses with information; and shall I go on?

Governments are not on the side of Christ, and neither will governments protect you from the war that is raging in every corner of the world. It is a battle and only those who will be as ‘little children’ (totally humble and dependent on Christ) will survive. What is God asking of us and looking for? I challenge you to be this person:

God wants Christian soldiers, not passive churchgoers.

God wants nobodies, not somebodies.

God wants people who are exhibit patience, not ‘I want it now’—folks.

God wants people who will love without measure, not people who hate with prejudice.

God wants His people in the ‘unity of the Spirit,’ not divided and without hope.

God wants us to allow the light of Christ in us to shine everywhere

without fear of persecution, loss of liberty, and become outcasts.

Faith is…

April 23, 2022 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Faith is…

Much has been written about faith—what it is and how to have more of it in one’s life. However, with all that has been said and written about faith, people still struggle with the question, ‘How do I succeed in getting faith to work for me?’

Faith is definitely not believing more or trusting more. This line of thinking has been used in abundance, in ignorance, and in the judgment of others. Faith is not believing better or deeper or more sincere. Rather it is simply responding to God’s will. Whenever you respond to what God wants, is asking of you, or in answering His voice, God calls you a person of faith.

Faith works and is embedded in these three terms: responding, relying upon, and repenting. The best example of what Jesus calls faith is found in Luke 17:5 and the following verses. “He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. “Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’? Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that, you may eat and drink’? Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do? So, you also, when you have done everything, you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’ ” NIV

Here are the principles in this teaching: one, you either have faith or you do not, (it only takes a mustard seed of faith to do anything); two, you have to be caring for others—if you do not care about others and willing to be a servant you will not be called; three you take on the responsibility to always in every situation to serve God (whatever God wants that is what you do): four, you consider yourself an unworthy servant and what you did in Christ is and was never for your glory or honor.

So, you want to have more faith (or see your faith work in every situation) one must respond to what God wants/His will, totally rely upon God in everything (you are the servant and God is the master), and last, of all, you are a nobody—you do not get any honor, recognition, or reward. Faith is all about God and what God wants to do—you need only to respond to God through obedience, humility, and praise to Him alone. This is our faith, and this is how it works.

So, let’s stop worrying if we have enough faith but rather respond to what God wants and do it in humility. It only takes an ounce of faith to produce a ton of results. (There are many more stories of faith in both the Old and New Testaments, but they all teach the same truth.)
