God Only Uses The Just

Series: The Ethical Christian

I have been writing about the ‘just person’. Joseph, Ruth, Peter, and Moses are considered ‘just persons’ by God. All four individuals had their faults or imperfections by Jewish standards, but God is looking for individuals that are willing to perform His will.

To perform God’s will, a person must be willing to exercise justice no matter what form it takes or for whatever reason God declares. Throughout history, God has only used ‘just people’ to jumpstart any revival, any move of the Holy Spirit, and/or any new movement or trend within the Church. God is not looking for smart people or talented individuals. He is looking for people that have qualities of justice; He is not looking for perfect people.

God only wants people that are willing to go the extra mile. God says a just person is a person who does not ridicule others, which are not perfect or come from the same background as the religious people of the day. God requires a ‘just person’ to be able to listen to Him. They know when it is God talking and what their role is in response to what God wants (this is faith). Abundant knowledge will not help you or your connections to professional or influential people. God only wants you to blindly obey him and serve him with everything within you—this is a ‘just person’, a person of courage and boldness.

It is the just person that changes the world. It is the just person that carries the Gospel of Christ and the will of the Father into a dark and evil world. It is the ‘just person’; not the rich, beautiful, smart, talented, or persuasive talker that God is looking for.

In these last days, we must be that ‘just person’ if we are to do the will of God and love Jesus with all our heart. Let’s pray, “God raise up just people in these last days.” This is what Jesus would want me to be.

Does God Consider You A Just Person?

February 13, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Does God Consider You ‘Just’?

Series: The Ethical Christian

I thought I was a just person until the Holy Spirit began to talk with me about Joseph. As I said in the last article, God said Joseph was a just man. I began to ask the question, “What does God consider a just person to be?” This journey opened up to me a new and elaborate definition as to being ‘a just person’.

Joseph was a just person and because of this quality of being just. God could entrust His Son, Jesus, to be raised and protected by Joseph. Joseph accepted the task and request by God to nurture and protect Jesus from all His enemies until He was grown enough to protect Himself. I wonder if God would have called you to protect His Son? Are you that ‘just person’ who has courage, obedience, determination, and wisdom to have Jesus in your household?

My question to you is, “Are you that ‘just person’ as Joseph was, or Ruth—the grandmother of David, or Peter that Jesus asked to ‘feed my sheep’?

Justice goes even further—being just means accepting God living with you, as Jesus lived in Joseph’s house. Can God entrust to you Himself with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? Are you worthy enough to have God Himself, a third part of the Trinity, to live within you? This was the question the early church wrestled with in the Book of Acts. Many people within the church are not worthy! God does not consider them just. Oh, yes they have a relationship with Jesus Christ but they have not become ‘a just person’.

A just person is an ethical person. A just person puts God first in all things he or she does and who they become. A just person lives for God, not themselves. God honors a just person. They are not the people who Jesus will say in the last days, “I never knew you.”

To be just is to exercise justice and to exercise justice means that God considers you worthy enough to have Him—all that is God—to live with you and be in you.

“God, make me a just person. I want all of you living in me and I accept whatever your will is to do my part in fulfilling what you place before me. I will protect you within me and protect the Holy Spirit living in me. God let me be like Joseph, like Ruth, like Peter—give me your justice to perform in the earth.” This is what Jesus wants me to do!

Joseph, The Just Person

February 10, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Joseph, The Just Person

Series: The Ethical Christian

God is just and His justice is abundant in the earth. We do not talk much about becoming a just person but rather like to criticize and make fun of those around us. Justice is something alien to many Americans. However, to God justice is what He is all about.

God brought to my attention the justice that is found in the life of Joseph—Jesus’s earthly father or should I say, stepfather. Joseph took on the role of raising Christ. He did this willingly and took this responsibility seriously. God stated in Scripture that Joseph was a ‘just man’.

This series, “The Ethical Christian” is about being that just person. It is time to arise to justice and become just men and women in Christ. God has been stirring my soul lately. He has brought various feelings of my soul to intensity levels I have not felt in many years. He is changing not only what I am feeling but also who I am. God is after me in new ways and for purposes, I cannot explain. This series will be the stepping-stones for you to understand what God is asking, doing and expecting from all of us in the Body of Christ.

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take to you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.” (Matthew 1:18-25)

Why was Joseph a just man? He reacted not in fear or in public opinion or in religiosity or in vindictiveness. Joseph wanted to do the right thing for the right reasons and in accordance with the will of God. He was an older man and dreamed dreams. He listened to God even though He did not understand what God was doing. He loved Mary and began his journey in being the chosen protector of Jesus—when Jesus could not protect himself.

Joseph listened to God. He did what God warned him about in his dreams. He even took extra precautions in protecting Jesus when He came back to Jerusalem after being in Egypt for a couple of years. This was Joseph’s finest hour—his destiny, which he gladly accepted. His destiny was to raise and protect Jesus Christ. He knew that Jesus was not his son but that did not detour him from being a just and honorable person.

I wonder if God would have trusted you with His Son? Would you be that just person who honored Mary’s word, listened to and obeyed God, and did all He could in loving Jesus as his own son? Does God see you as a just person? Will you fight for what is right? Obey God without question? Go the distance and then some? Will you be that just person, as Joseph was, even though he has little honor in Scripture yet it was Joseph that God trusted His son too—will you be that person too?

God, hear my prayer! Make me a just person! Free of bias and judgment and full of only wanting to do your will and seeking the fulfillment of your purposes on the earth! God hear this prayer of mine!

The blessed life of the just

February 1, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Just Person Is a Blessed Person

Series: The Ethical Christian

God not only wants to bless you but is joyful in blessing us. There are over 600 different and significant blessings from God. I can see God laughing and full of joy when He blesses His people. With God, one can receive any one of a multitude of blessings for every need, trial, and circumstance life brings our way.

A just person finds such blessings. They are given liberally in Christ. There are blessings for each type of ‘just behavior’ we exhibit. It is impossible not to be blessed when you are just. Ethical behavior carries with it a reward and that reward is blessings you cannot contain. A life the overflows with blessings.

A good definition of being blessed or have blessings means to have favor, happiness, and good fortune. To be blessed from God brings with it a sense of surprise and righteous. When we are blessed we have peace and consolation; we enjoy God’s favor and protection.

Want to be blessed? Become that just person. Psalms chapter one is a good example of a just person becoming blessed and the rewards of being blessed. “Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper” verses 1-4. When a person is just, a person is blessed. The laws of God guide his behavior and that person becomes prosperous in everything he or she does.

To be a just person is a choice. That person is not guided by what they want but by laws that guide one’s actions, thought, and motives. Every time you act upon doing ‘just deeds’ there is an immediate blessing.

Often we do not look for or expect a blessing to follow us, but in God’s realm, He gives blessings freely. We must only accept His blessing. Blessings come to us when we are just people. We must have the blessings of God when we do right and proper things. It is the blessings of God that move us along and promotes us to do more and greater deeds of ethical behavior. Christian ethical behavior does bring us a ‘blessed life’.

The Just Person

January 31, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

The Ethical Christian

A New Series

God has been talking to me about ‘the just person’. There are plenty of examples of being a just and ethical person in Scriptures. All of us consider ourselves ethical in one way or the other, but we do not always consider what God thinks a just and ethical person should be.

God is not a God who is harsh and demanding. God will never ask anything of us that He Himself would not do. And, if He asks us to do or be a person who acts in ethical and just ways, then God will help us become that sort of person.

God is a God of hope first, and He goes about the earth looking and helping those who are willing and choose to be ethical. To be ethical is to be just, and to be just one must be wise. It is in wisdom that we choose right from wrong and willing to help rather than be selfish and judgmental. God wants us to be just. To be just in all we do and not ethical only when it suits us.

It is not easy to be just in every circumstance in our lives. The world does not want us to be just because it is not just. To be just in a corrupt world brings condemnation upon those who are not just. But, God sees us and is pleased with us when we are just. He helps us to be just if we let Him, and He gives us the tools to be just so we become blessed in what we do.

Never think that God does not know how to shape us into just people. He knows we cannot become just without His help. When we are just even in only simple and hidden ways, Jesus is next to us and the Holy Spirit is working within us. If God is for us, then who can be against us? It is this type of justice and ethical living that God likes.

The series of articles, The Just Person, are designed to give you hope in becoming a just and ethical individual. A just person does not stand-alone, but God is with him or her.

So enjoy the next few articles and become that just person who does amazing things in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit working in your life.

You Must Read This–All of It!

January 26, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

From Kris Vallotton

You Must Read This!

The Lord is shouting for the Fathers to come home! The world is not devoid of men who have offspring, but in reality, they have abandoned the family ship, leaving their children to fight the choppy waves of life without provision for their needs, protection from storms, or promotion into their destinies!

This prophetic sense has been on my heart for about six weeks, and it all began with a vision I had of my son, Jason. I was in a prayer meeting when the vision began, and I saw him in a stadium filled with thousands of men. Jason was teaching them the principles of fatherhood and enacting a rite of passage into true God-given manhood. The scene in this picture grew and I began to see stadiums filling up all over America with men going after the heart of the Father!

I texted my son while the vision was fresh in my heart, and he replied: “That’s what God has been telling me for a year.”

I believe the Lord is moving on the earth as a Father! I see Him touching the world in a way that will restore the hearts of fathers to their sons just as we see in Malachi 4:5: “Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD. He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.”

Malachi perceived a world absent of fatherhood, not fathers. And I see the same symptom in culture today. This is the most fatherless generation in American history in which our fathers didn’t die in war! Think about that! Our fathers are alive and not off to war, but their hearts aren’t in any way home.

The presence of fathers in a home can make or break identity and destiny in the hearts of their children. Beyond that, the effects of absent fathers on a larger societal scale tower over our culture, casting shadows into morality that, if not stopped, will stretch until right and wrong become completely subjective and left to the whims of each individual!

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

My mother got pregnant with me in 1954 out of wedlock, and therefore my parents immediately got married. Although this knee-jerk reaction was common in the ’50s, I find that in today’s culture this response to an unplanned pregnancy is rare.

In those days, it was taboo to have children outside of marriage. So society created a stigma or positive peer pressure for people to do from the outside (with their behavior) what they were not yet ready to do from the inside (live morally from their core values and inner-nobility). Therefore, people often behaved morally even though they were still operating in sin.

Then, in the 1960s, the Sexual Revolution hit the world, and cultural morality began to shift in colossal and destructive ways. The motto of the Sexual Revolution was: “If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with.” It meant: have sex with anyone you want, make no commitments, and forget about covenants.

Let’s pause so I can make myself crystal clear here. The truth is that the world is the world! It will always be steeped in sin until the sinners find a savior…hence how we all, including myself, got here. I’m not explaining this cultural problem with any condemnation. I’m simply observing societal shifts so we can accurately understand how we got where we are today. Remember, what you misdiagnose, you mistreat. The same is true in culture.

What I’m getting at is that the ’60s didn’t create a sin movement. Sin was already happening! What it DID do was cause people to question morality until the black-and-white of right and wrong faded to a murky, misguided grey. Before this, people sinned but they knew it was a sin. However, in the ’60s, culture began to say, “This isn’t bad! Do what feels good!”

Fast forward to 2019 and society doesn’t even agree on what sin is anymore! In my mother’s day, when they did something wrong they knew it was wrong. But today, Believers have to convince people of what is right and wrong!

THE PERFECT STORM: DARWINISM AND THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION

In the midst of the Sexual Revolution, another powerful force was emerging in America. Although it had been introduced to our school system decades prior, Darwinism took root for the first time in the early ’60s.

The Sexual Revolution created the perfect environment for Darwinism to establish itself because people were violating their own moral values and were looking for a way to avoid answering to God for the guilt they were experiencing. Charles Darwin gave the world the excuse that they needed to live like hell and not answer to Heaven.

The theory of evolution took away our purpose because it told us that we came about through a series of cosmic accidents. There was no divine design, no purpose for which we were created, and no Creator who loved us enough to die for us. This philosophy naturally elevated pleasure as the highest goal of life and, “Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die!” became an underlying tone in society. These ideas began to be infused into the American culture, as well as the church.

LACK OF MORALITY CREATES A FATHERLESS CULTURE

We can’t deny that there are great societal effects of human fatherlessness! These statistics are shocking and cannot be ignored! As you read them, I hope you let the reality and weight of this matter sink in and see that when you remove fathers from the home, society gets very ill!

  • 70% of youths in State institutions are from fatherless homes.
  • 63% of youth suicides are from homes without fathers.
  • 90% of all homeless and runaway children grew up without a father.
  • 85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes.
  • 85% of all rapists motivated by displaced anger are from fatherless homes.
  • 71% of all high school dropouts come from homes without a father.

I see 5 more cultural side effects of fatherlessness:

1) Men are being feminized because mothers are raising them without the presence of fathers. The result? Gender confusion of a man being raised only by a woman is helping to perpetuate homosexuality. The absence of fathers in the life of a daughter is also contributing to gender confusion.

2) Abortion is another major side effect of fatherlessness because women are being impregnated by men, not fathers! I propose that most often abortion is not the sin of motherhood, it’s the sin of fatherlessness. According to a study by CareNet, women turn to the father of the baby more than anyone else when considering abortion. In fact, their study showed that the child’s father is the most important influence on a woman’s decision to have an abortion. True fathers protect, provide and promote their offspring.

3) Men lack confidence in their ability to lead and provide for a family because it’s never been modeled for them. Therefore they delay or reject marriage relationships. You can read more about that here.

4) Fatherless men tend to be players instead of leaders. Men invite boys into manhood through the rite of passage. The rite of passage is the process in which men acknowledge that a boy has become a man. Girls experience a “rite of passage” when they begin their menstrual cycle. Without the rite of passage, boys struggle growing up as they grow old. Consequently, they prioritize pleasure above purpose largely because they are ill-equipped for manhood and paralyzed by the fear of failing.

5) In a fatherless society, authenticity is being redefined as being true to your feelings instead of being true to your purpose. In a feminized society that results from fatherlessness, feelings are exalted to a point that is out of balance. Our culture now lacks the balance of the truth that how we feel is not how we are, and beyond that how we feel is not WHO we are.

A PROPHETIC WORD FOR A NEW SEASON

God already has dreams and solutions for our societal problems! Psalms 68:5 says, “A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, is God in His holy habitation.”

God is a Father to the fatherless! He’s also a husband to the widow. If you’re without a father-figure I want to encourage you that the Lord can make up the difference in your life, as He did the same in mine!

I also believe that the Lord is breathing these two prophetic words over us to heal our fatherless culture, to restore men to their God-given purpose, and inspire virtue and nobility into society again:

1) There is another Promise Keepers-type movement rising in America! I believe that millions of men, those with or without natural children, are going to become present, powerful and passionate fathers. I see a movement that teaches the skills of manhood and enacts a rite of passage by the thousands!

2) While speaking at a Bethel Worship Team meeting recently, I felt the Lord say that there is a music revolution being birthed that is going to touch the secular world with Kingdom songs!

The power of songs is demonstrated all throughout time as an underlying force of hope in the face of great challenges and injustice. Timely anthems leave their mark on society and even go so far as to shift the very course of history. It was the great philosopher Plato, who happened to be Greek, that said, “Let me handle the music for one generation and I will control Rome.”

Harriet Tubman, the abolitionist, founder of the Underground Railroad and great deliverer of hundreds of American slaves, used songs to communicate the plans for when and where to meet on their journey out of bondage and into liberty. They called these songs “Songs of Deliverance.”

The Lord is releasing new songs of deliverance over our generation that will lead people out of their dysfunction, cause mothers and fathers to rise up, and restore our culture back to virtue and truth! Today I release that new song and a spirit of fatherhood and motherhood over you…that God may cause you to be a revolutionary to our culture, just as Jesus was!

It’s Here!

January 25, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

It’s Here!

Yesterday the Spirit of God spoke to me and said, “It’s here.” I knew exactly what He was talking about; He made it clear by stating that times of repentance are upon us. There are times & seasons when God brings repentance to the world in unusually and mysterious ways. History has recorded such events. This is one of those times. I have experienced such times and movements of forgiveness & repentance that changed not only myself but also society & the culture around me.

One can read about the Welch revivals, early American revivals, the Jesus Movement, what is recorded in the Book of Acts of the Apostles (chapter 2 Peter’s sermon and its results), and the Book of Nehemiah (the repentance of the Jewish people living in Jerusalem) to name a few. Well, this is one for the history books. It is upon us and if you take notice, repentance, forgiveness of sin, character changing, rededication to Christ, the healing of one’s soul, and everything in-between will happen everywhere.

Small groups will experience repentance without even expecting the moving of the Holy Spirit, church groups, events, gatherings, and all kinds of public groupings will be brought to their knees and begin to cry over the corruptness in their lives.

People will cry for hours, even days. They will cry over their sin they thought never existed. They will cry and seek forgiveness for the wrongs they have committed. They will return to their homes and businesses will to make amends for the wrongs they have committed.

People will feel clean once again. Free from sin and the bondage and control it had over their lives. It is upon us and has already started. You will see God moving in ways you never thought possible or have never experienced before. It is time to become clean. Time to be completely forgiven. Time to wash your robe in the blood of the Lamb. Time to be set free!

It has come—it is upon us!

It is time to become alive with Christ!

Come, Lord Jesus, Come!

The Little Ones

January 17, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

God’s Timing for 2019

God says in the Bible, there is a time and season for every purpose under heaven. This year, 2019, is a pivotal year and will be significant for the Body of Christ. There will be a saturation of the nine Gifts of the Spirit and the nine Fruits of the Spirit working in our lives. A working of the Spirit we have never seen before in this generation. It is what God wants to do and He continues to speak to His Church about what’s to come.

I just read another prophetic word from a pastor I have never met, but what He is saying is true. Some predictions for 2019 were only words of hope but not what God is planning to do. I am persuaded that the ‘unknowns’ in the Body of Christ will accomplish this move of the Holy Spirit. It will come from those who have ‘humbled themselves’; those that have rejected a life of sin; those that are not planning to make a ‘name for themselves’ in the Body of Christ. This year it will be a year of the ‘little ones’.

The ‘nobodies’ in the Body of Christ will move forward in fulfilling God’s purposes and plans. Demontae Edmonds of Virginia Beach, VA states, “The Lord says, ‘This is the year that the spiritual fathers, who themselves have been wounded, discouraged and disappointed, will begin to be healed so that they can stand in their position.

"I’m even releasing fathers and mothers for those who are already spiritual fathers and mothers, those who possess a greater wisdom and intimacy with Me, that can bring them into a new level of spiritual access and insight. This will have a trickle-down effect into My Body. These fathers and mothers who are being released will be men and women who walk in such a level of wholeness that they bring others into this wholeness in Christ.

"There will be spiritual sons and daughters of theirs who will possess greater charisma, spiritual gifting, and intellect, but will be attracted to these fathers’ leadership because of their level of integrity, character, maturity, and wholeness. These will be leaders who have overcome the Saul spirit and who will not be intimidated by the King Davids being reared up for the next generation by the Spirit of God. They will say in their hearts, ‘Yes, I have slain 1,000. Now it’s time for my sons and daughters to slay 10,000!’"

As I have stated already in previous articles, I believe this is the year of Battles & Healings. We will be fighting battles at every turn in the road as we walk with Jesus, and Jesus will grant us healings at every level and in every situation we face. Battles against everything that exalts itself against Christ and healings of relationships, healings from brokenness, physical healings, financial restoration/healing, and in any area of one’s life if you can believe God for His grace. Your faith will dramatically increase during this time. Just like the beginning of the Church in the Book of Acts of the Apostles, even so, the Gifts and Fruits of the Spirit will be manifested in miraculous ways. This has been a long time coming and spoken about for many years.

Get ready! You are about to experience the majesty of God.

Amen & Amen

January 16, 2019 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John

Amen and Amen

Article from Phillip Lee, HWOM

Phillip writes, “In 1994, God saw fit to birth His ministry called His Way Out Ministries. We began as we remain today, fully committed to raising awareness, educating, and encouraging the Body of Christ to minister to those who struggle with unwanted same-gender attraction. Today, His Way Out Ministries remains concerned regarding the issue of homosexuality and seeks to minister to those within the Church, and the community at large, with the Truth of Scripture, the power of testimony and the dialog of issues.

The ministry of His Way Out Ministries begins where God has already laid the foundation; we are not to save souls but to disciple them. Salvation and sanctification are the work of God’s sovereign grace; our work as His disciples is to disciple lives until they are wholly yielded to God. It is only in the atmosphere of hunger, utter dependency and willingness to obey that God imparts His holy and righteous nature, where He reveals His perfect will, and where He entrusts to any man or any woman the power to overcome same-gender attraction. Today, a true, faithful, disciple of Christ must live wholly and only for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Any individual that has experienced freedom from same-gender attraction has been compelled by the love of God planted in his or her heart through an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus and has been empowered to resist temptation by the Holy Spirit. Whenever Jesus talked about discipleship, He always prefaced it with an “if,” never with a “you must.” Today, freedom from same-gender attraction requires a full, total, unconditional surrender that many are unwilling to offer. Ultimately, freedom from homosexuality or lesbianism revolves around the intimacy that is developed by being a disciple of Christ and the diligence and hunger with which He is pursued.

At His Way Out Ministries, we believe God wants each man and each woman to be so identified with Christ, so intimate with Him that each individual literally takes on the mind and the behavior of Christ. Truly, an earmark of a disciple of Christ today requires the individual’s heart to be fully and continually submitted to Him for on-going renovation.

Our position rests on the Authority of Scripture versus the interpretations of some of the social sciences and medicine. We believe through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, discipleship, the healing power of the Holy Spirit, often mediated by extended and competent ministry, prayer, and a caring Christian community, the sexually broken can experience transformation and restoration towards wholeness.

All His Way Out Ministries Services are centered on the Biblical foundations of compassion, integrity, and dependence on God.

As a result, His Way Out Ministries has never nor do we now utilize or apply the clinical methods of Reparative or Conversion Therapy. Our mandate and calling is taken directly from the Lord Jesus, "Therefore go and make disciples…" (Matthew 28:19)

We live in a sexually broken society in which homosexual practice, adultery, and fornication are sins that call for repentance and openness to the transforming power of God. We believe in the ministry of the church to assist those who desire sexual wholeness. And while we do not condone the practice of homosexuality, adultery, or fornication, and consider such practice incompatible with Christian teaching and conduct, we believe that God’s grace is available to all who repent.

We repudiate any non-loving, prejudicial attitudes that deny Christ’s unconditional love for all people and declare such behavior to be sin. Our intent is to extend a compassionate Christian ministry to everyone.

We are committed to effectively and compassionately communicating God’s heart concerning sexual brokenness and wholeness, while disputing the unchangeable nature of sexual orientation.” Pastor Phillip Lee Executive Director His Way Out Ministries

He Rides A Horse

He Rides A White Horse

The ‘Jesus Crisis’ is real. We have tried to understand the Book of Revelation—it is no accident that it is the last book in the Bible. It is not just a book about times, seasons, and end-time events. It is a book about Jesus Christ that is why the first verse reads, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John” Revelation 1:1.

If you knew Jesus you would understand the Book of Revelation. This is why we have a ‘Jesus Crisis’. The Apostle John did not recognize Jesus when God first began to show him the future during his journey through the heavenly. John writes, “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand on me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;” Revelation 1: 17-19.

The Jesus that John saw scared him. He knew Jesus, he walked with Jesus and he saw Christ after He rose from the dead (he recognized Jesus—remember the story of the apostles fishing and John recognized Jesus from the boat when He talked with them from the shore). John knew Jesus but could not recognize the Jesus in Revelation—this is The Forever Jesus. This is the Jesus that will be with us forever and ever. This Jesus has fire in His eyes. He rides a white horse. He comes to battle against all who do not repent, who have not made their robes white in His blood, and who do not have the mark of the Son of God in their lives.

We are in a battle because Christ is in a battle—a battle against darkness and all that is evil. We must not look back or hang onto our past. You cannot have a future with The Forever Christ if you are living in your past. As Jesus gave Peter a future and told him what to do (feed my sheep), so must we find our future in Christ. This is where healing comes into play. Healing from our past, the healing for sins, forgetting of what we did or who we were. We must have and become what God wants us to be—to take hold of our future by finding healing from our past.

This is why 2019 is a year of Battles and Healing; this is where Jesus is at, this is who Jesus is! We must have the Forever Christ. I challenge you to find your future and to let go of your past. Of everything that holds you back from having the Forever Christ from manifesting Himself in your life. Read the Book of Revelation again and ask God to show you Jesus in every verse. Come to God with a broken heart and a contrite spirit. Seek healing and let Christ prepare you to fight. Learn to say what John says at the end of Revelation, “Even so, come Lord Jesus!”
