Saying for the day

April 18, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Thoughtful ‘saying’ for the Day

Begin your day with the phrase: Jesus is my friend. It will not only strength you but when you say this outloud make sure you do so with the purpose that God to hear you, evil to hear you, and the world to hear you.

We cannot overcome the world’s plans and purposes, and all the evil within this world without Jesus. It is His friendship and power that changes everything.

So begin today and everyday with, Jesus is my friend! He’s my friend and He is bigger than anything I will encounter today.

An Easter Reading

April 16, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

He Is Not Here

Luke 24: 1-8: Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the sepulcher, bringing the spices, which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. 3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why seek you the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke to you when he was yet in Galilee, 7 Saying, ‘The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again’.” 8 And they remembered his words.

He is risen indeed!

Have a wonderful Easter Sunday…Steve

Word from Chuck Pierce

April 15, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Your New Path is Forming!

A prophetic word by Chuck D. Pierce

This prophetic word was sent to me and I believe it is correct and prudent for all believers to consider and implement. This year is important for the church to get ready for what is ahead for us all. There are been so many changes and insights given to us by the Holy Spirit not to take this year seriously. It is not just another year in our walk with the Lord. It is important that ‘we hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church’. Chuck believes this week is the beginning for many in the church.

This is just a portion of Chuck’s message; you can read more by going to his website.

This is our week to PASSOVER! On Palm Sunday morning we saw an outpouring of revelation. In this week of new beginnings, the Spirit of God is declaring, "Your New Path is forming!" Don’t resist the stops He inserts in your week to set you in His perfect timing. Be sure to read below a portion of Sunday’s prophetic release that will help you come out on the waters and cause your faith to arise!

Come Out! Faith Will Rise! Key Prophecy for the Week Ahead!

"This is the beginning of a new week. You are going to make amazing progress and be propelled ahead because this is the time that you will start moving in My faith. You will start moving in My faith – don’t get your eyes on your own faith! This is where your faith and the fear of Me will mix. You will uncover secrets. As you release faith and begin to worship, you will begin to see secrets uncovered.

"For there have been many of My people who have been found within the boundaries of their own borders. You are coming with the sound of your own roar, but I am coming from outside your borders to release a roar that will encapsulate you and transform you into the sound of My image. I’m going to lead you in a direction that you’re not used to going. For you have determined to go on one path, but a new path is forming. I will put key stops in your path that set you in My perfect timing. Be sure to heed the stops in the week ahead.

"If you will be in My timing I will give you an unusual positioning in your life. From that positioning, I will surprise you with My roar. You think the roar is coming through you, but I’m going to surprise you how I show up and display Myself to you! So move in a different way, as I am structuring you. The roar you need to cause the enemy around you to disperse will come forth and will cause all of those around you to see that I am favoring you. I will surprise you with the display of who I AM.

A Week of Settlement!

"This is My week that I am bringing settlements to those things that concern you. Come up here, and begin to prophesy that those settlements are coming out of the very highest Heaven, down through the enemy’s second Heaven and into the Earth realm! Reach out and you bring that in this week!

"This is a week when I settled things with the gods of Egypt. This is a week when it was finally over, said and done! I emerged as the One who sits as Judge over all the gods of Egypt! Let Me judge and pronounce My settlements, settle issues, and release the final word over the things that have been contending with you. This is a week of the final settlement!

Break Forth in a New Way!

"If you will rise up and worship Me then you will spot the needle in the haystack that you’ve been looking for. The needle is there and you’ll never find it from the place that you’re searching. But if you will come up you will see the needle. And not only will you see the needle, but you will see the garment that I’m going to make for you to put on.

"I am sending some revelation that is going to cause your head to shake. You are thinking in one way, but I’m about to shake up some things so you will think in a different way. Don’t try to put a false covering that you’ve been under back on top of that which I am messing up for you! If you choose the false covering, you will end up vainly searching for power and not listening to what I have to say that would cause power to come in and empower you! Let Me mess you up so a new glory emanates from you. Don’t try to cover over the ‘new’ that I am causing to cover you!

I Am the God Who Wins the War!

"Do not fear the circumstances around you. In the war you are in, I am the God that wins the war! The enemy is powerless against My Spirit. I am not waiting for the world to release their voice. I am looking to My Church to rise up and be the Church I created her to be. Let the voice of the Lord come forth and I shall silence the voice of the enemy.

"Those who have Kingdom ears will hear this sound and echo back My sound! This is going be a stormy week. Get ready, for I am clearing out the static that’s keeping you from being connected into what you need to hear and say."

Blessings,

From red to white

April 14, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

‘Painting’ Your Robe White

“The works of the Lord” Psalm 111

I do not like to paint much. I do it because I have too. As we all know, wood needs protection from the elements. This is why there are Ace Hardware, Lowes, Home Depot, in fact, I like those stores—they are my favorite shopping places.

The Lord does painting also, not just in His creation but how He works in the lives of His people. God only uses the ‘painting process’ with the color of red to change everything to white. Revelations 7:14b says, “…they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” Yes, God is into color, but His final color is white and His primer color is red.

I have to paint the fencing on my ranch all the time. It gets worn, dirty, and stained. Just like our robes—they get dirty and stained. In tribulation our robes become worn and discolored, but it is in the tribulation that we make them white—“These are they which came out of great tribulation” Rev. 7:14a.

To get the fencing ready for paint you have to scrape, sand, and chip away at all old paint, stains and ruined wood. I often have to paint with primer first before the white paint—it is a process I do not like but must be done.

God does the same with me. Jesus loves me so much He works away at the wood in my life preparing me for His white paint. It was His giving away of His life—the loss of His blood that makes it all possible. The impossible became possible, through His blood, making me white. It cost Him everything in this life so I could have part of His life forever.

I am washing my robe in the tribulation of this life—just like Christ. And, it is in my tribulation that I find myself needing God’s red stain in and through my life. His red paint makes me ready to become white. I accept, no I desire, God’s painting process—I scrub and wash my dirt and stained robe making it white in the blood of Christ. This is the work of the Lord and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Give me fruit

April 13, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

What’s Missing?

“The fruit of the Spirit is…” Ephesians 5:9

It is sad to know that things are getting worse on the earth. We hear of doom and destruction in almost every media broadcast. I understand that in the last days two scenarios will take place—God’s great grace will be poured out upon all who live on this planet, as well as, God’s judgment and Satan performing his works of deception.

I was told by pastors of long ago that lived through WW1 and WW2 that significant changes happened throughout the world during both wars. In WW1 a Spirit of Love left the earth. They stated that before WW1 people could love and forgive more easily but after the war people could not feel nor depend on a spirit of Love (a fruit of love) from the Holy Spirit to help and guide them.

During and after WW2 a spirit of Peace (fruit of peace from the Holy Spirit) was no longer noticeable in the earth. We all know that since WW2 the world has not been at peace. There has always been wars taking place somewhere in the world. It is as if God took His Spirit of Peace from the earth.

The United Nations was created after WW1 but it has not deterred wars. In fact, wars have become more frequent and intense since WW1. It is God alone who controls the fate of man and regulates what takes place on the earth. Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled as we live. God is not mocked nor is His Word, the Bible.

I have noticed more and more that another Scripture is being fulfilled, “The love of many shall grow cold.” I notice and feel the absence of love in my daily activities with fellow men. People who once showed love demonstrate less love. People are more concerned with themselves rather than how to care for and show kindness to others.

The media through advertising tries to convince people to offer kindness and random acts or kindness to others/strangers, but it is not working. The world is not getting better, but rather hate not love seems to be the primary focus of our generation.

We are missing the Fruit of the Spirit in our daily activities, Galatians 5: 22-23: “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.” We must teach ourselves, our children, and others that the only way for kindness to be manifested in our generation is through Jesus Christ and the operation and manifestation of the Fruit of the Spirit.

Tragedy in San Bernardino

April 12, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Where Are You Church?

Becoming salt: Matthew 5:13-16

I am sure you have heard about the tragedy in San Bernardino, CA. A special needs teacher and an 8-year-old boy were shot and killed in a murder-suicide at a Southern California elementary school on Monday.

53-year-old Cedric Anderson walked into North Park Elementary School and opened fire on his wife, Karen Elaine Smith before taking his own life. He also killed 8-year-old Jonathan Martinez, who died after being taken to a local hospital. What a tragic series of events and such senseless killings!

Church where are you? There will be a funeral for Jonathan Martinez shortly. I hope that all those who profess Jesus Christ will pray for the boy’s family and show support to the Martinez family. But I want you to do more!

I want a miracle! Yes, I want Christ to raise Jonathan from this tragedy and the Lord to bring him back to his family. We need miracles! We need to ask God for “raising from the dead” as Jesus promised and God speaks about in His Word.

We need Christians to believe, pray, obey God’s command and be willing to see God’s promise of life in this lifetime for Jonathan. It is time not to ask why or how God will give Jonathan back to his family but merely for the Church to try.

God’s church in San Bernardino needs to take God at His word. I know God’s grace is sufficient no matter what God decides to do, but we need to begin to ask God for the impossible. We need to ask God to fulfill His promises and destroying the works of the Devil.

Are you willing to ask God for more? Are you willing to come face to face with the works of the Devil and say, “Not today, not on my watch!”? Are you willing to bring the truth of Christ to a hurting and broken family? Yes, what would Jesus do? What would He want you to do?

I had a dream

April 8, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

I Had a Dream

“…your old men shall dream dreams” Acts 2:17

I do not know about you but I dream. Always have and hopefully always will. The Bible says, “…your old men shall dream dreams.” I guess I fall into that category since I am no longer young but have reached the golden years or should I say the ‘graying years’.

About a week ago I dreamt that I was in a large metropolitan city, downtown, among the ‘sky-scrappers’. All of a sudden there were waves, waves so large that the waves dwarfed the buildings. The waves picked up the buildings, moving them off their foundations, and the structures began to float upright along as the waves pushed them.

I saw no loss of life but it was beyond imagination as to the strength and magnitude of the waves sweeping through the city. Dreams are from God, at least the good ones that foretell the future by the Spirit of Grace that lives within us.

I spoke over a year ago as to a ‘revival coming to America’. It would be alike a wave flowing from the east to the west. I wrote about what God spoke to me then and He has given me another sign (a dream) as to the coming ‘moving of the Holy Spirit’.

Many times I wait till God sends confirmation, a witness, and a second sign that confirms what the Spirit is saying to me. Well, I have the sign not only in my recent dream but also what God has said to my fellow prophets.

Joe-Joe Dawson from Texas said this recently, “Early one morning, as I was praying, I saw a huge tidal wave crashing over the people of God. As I saw this tidal wave in the spirit, I knew that it was made up all of the prayers, promises, and prophetic words from past seasons. The Lord spoke clearly to me that many promises and prophetic words that has been given in past seasons, will come to pass in this next season.”

"The Lord’s been looking for a glory company of people to rise up and begin to strike the ground once again and begin working those wonders among the people and begin moving in this new movement of God’s glory once again… to bring on the restoration and voice of healing in the United States," spoken by Stephen Powell.

All of this is true plus many more testimonies about the Glory of God moving throughout America as a wave flowing from the eastern coast to the west coast. It is about to take place. It is time, for all of us to rejoice—to shout for joy, for the Coming of the Lord! Do not let the lessons of Jericho pass you by. Be strong, be courageous, be faithful—the Lord has spoken and He has come to us. What He has promised He will fulfill.

It’s a heart thing

April 5, 2017 WWJWMTD By Otis and Sue Davis

It’s a Heart Condition?

A prophetic & theological word from Otis & Sue Davis

"When an evilspirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation." Matthew 12:43-45 NIV

He revealed their hearts. We must connect these verses with Matthew 12:24-29. But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. "Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house. Satan’s "house" is the body of the person who is possessed by the demon.

It appears that the demons are restless and seek bodies in which to reside as shown in Matthew 8:28-31. When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?" Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, "If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs."

When the demon left, this man’s life was changed for the better, but his life was still empty. When the demon returned, he brought others with him, and the man’s life ended in tragedy.

The primary application is to the nation of Israel, especially that generation present when Jesus ministered on earth. The nation had been purged of the demon of idolatry, which had plagued them in the Old Testament. But reformation was not enough. Reformation could cleanse, but it could not fill. The nation should have received the Savior and been filled with spiritual life. Instead, the people rejected Him and the end was destruction.

There is a Personal application. It is not enough to clean house; we must also invite in the right tenant. The Pharisees were proud of their "clean houses," but their hearts were empty!Mere religion, denomination, or reformation, will not save. There must be regeneration, the receiving of Christ into the heart as seen in Revelation 3:19-22. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

We cannot be neutral about Jesus Christ; he knows the truth of the heart. (The Bible Exposition Commentary) A clean empty heart will be filled by the Holy or the un-Holy. Guard your Heart above all else for it is the source of life. Proverbs 4.23 hcsb A heart filled with selfish pride will not hear and be open to the Holy Spirit. Remember This! Whoever does NOT receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will NEVER enter it. Luke 18.17 gnb (Written by Otis and Sue Davis)

Let crying be heard

April 2, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

A Time for Crying

All Roads Lead through Jericho Series

Raising kids parents learn quickly what crying can be ignored and ‘the other crying’ that says your child needs your help right away! All parents learn to distinguish between legitimate crying and the so-called, ‘fake crying’.

I have laughed (and I am sure you have too) at certain types or styles of crying by our children. I have even laughed at some crying by my grandkids. Often they recognize I am not going to do anything about their crying and they stop their calculated manipulation of my emotions and start to smile at grandpa.

There are three types of crying God listens too. Many times in Scripture, He says, “He will not listen to your crying or call for help.” However, God does respond to crying that comes from an honest and sincere heart. Do not be fooled by selfish logic—God cannot be enticed by insincere tears and He is not manipulated by selfish crying.

We cry over our sin, we cry over other people’s sins, and we cry over injustice and spiritual darkness that enslaves others around us. These are legitimate behaviors that God honors and listens too. We need a caring heart that intercedes for others and fights against the evil one who oppresses God’s creation.

However, it is the crying over personal sin that I would like to address. How does one become free from sin—free from all the guilt and ‘the hold’ sin has on our lives? Yes, sin has power and its power, when your sin is un-confessed, can make you captive and force you to sin over and over again. This is why Jesus died. He died in order to offer you forgiveness and the removal and consequences of your sin—to end Satan’s captivity over your life. This is God’s #1 priority—your forgiveness, freedom, and ability to have a relationship with Him and to forgive individuals in the Body of Christ of their sin.

There are three Scriptures (I am sure many more for every kind of sinner) that can guide you in finding forgiveness that is attainable, works without failing, and is lasting.

1) Psalm 119:133b: “Let no sin rule over me.” David’s prayer to God—do not allow sin to have power or control over me. Sins can have and indeed are so powerful that one cannot keep from sinning unless you find ‘the forgiveness that takes away the power of the sin’. So many people think that confession or asking for forgiveness is enough—that is not completely true—we must find forgiveness that takes even the power of sin away. (It is yours for the asking and embedded in so many Scriptures.)

2) John 5:14, 8:11: Jesus said, “Go and sin no more.” (I would read the Gospel of John & the 3 Epistles of John if you wanted to understand forgiveness.) The point of these two verses is that Jesus first said, “Go,” which tells me that He wants you to move ahead with your life. Go—you now have a new ‘lease on life’. You through forgiveness have a new future—embrace it and experience it. And, secondly, once God forgives any type of sin, He now says that you have the means, ability and decision making opportunity to sin no more. (This might not take place so easily for some but Christ has opened the door for your success so do not think it is impossible.)

3) Hebrews 9:14: “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” This verse is a promise and its promise is for God to erase from your memory your conscience of past sins and sins hold on one’s life. Forgiveness is not always an easy thing—often it takes days, weeks and even months to have ‘complete freedom’ of all the consequences of sin and its power over us. It is the only verse that I know of that erases even the memory of past sins so we can have freedom of our past mistakes.

I have spent weeks crying about sins I did not know were in my life until the Holy Spirit showed them to me and their deadly influence over my life. God’s forgiveness is greater than all and any sin. Always pray these verses for God is always faithful but we must choose to let Him fulfill His promises to us in His Word.

My good friend, Phillip Lee, Director of His Way Out Ministries has these practical suggestions: http://hiswayout.com

· Set your heart and mind against the old sin-bred patterns of thinking, feeling, and doing, and toward a love of purity. "Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness." (Psalm 29:2)

· Starve the old nature to death! Avoid the people, places and things that God reveals as feeding troughs for your sin nature. "By the leading of the Spirit, put to death the misdeeds of the body." (Romans 8:13)

· Frequent men’s/women’s fellowship groups in addition to regular church services so that you can receive the kind of healthy support, modeling and acceptance that has been missing in your life. "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)

· Find someone with whom you can be accountable. "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." (James 5:16)

· Increase the amount of time you spend seeking God in prayer and crying out to Him for help. "God rewards those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)

Remember, just like the Children of Israel had to find forgiveness and freedom of their sin before they entered the Promise Land, so must we. It is through forgiveness found only in Christ that we will find our purpose and calling in walking by faith doing the works of Christ in this generational-time of great spiritual darkness…it is a time for crying!

The fear of failure

March 29, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Experiencing Failure & Freedom…

All Roads Lead through Jericho Series

The children of Israel did not get to their promise land without experiencing failure first. None of us like failure but it is in realizing our failures that we find freedom in Christ. Often failure precedes success (or our freedom), just as it was with Christ with the appearance of failure at His crucifixion, but it is His victory and freedom at His resurrection what we rejoice in. What we consider personal failures, God often labels as the accomplishment of His plan and perfect will.

No one likes to fail; I certainly do not, but it is not the failure that bothers me but the ‘fear of failure’ that stifles action on my part. I remember experiences when growing up when I stopped or refused to move ahead with something I would like to have done but the ‘fear of failure’ stopped me. Fear was my motivator that inhibited me from doing something I wanted so desperately to do or loved to have tried to do.

We can have many fears in this life: what would people think of me or if I fail I will never recover from the hurt, pain or rejection. I am reminded of Christ praying three times to the Father that, ‘what God was asking Him to do was too hard’—“let this cup pass from me.” But Christ did pray in the end, “Not my will but thy will be done.” Jesus felt that to carry all the sin, sickness, persecution, and deliverance from evil for everyone was too much to carry at one time. Jesus saw only failure on His part but He did not fear failure—to Him failure was not doing what God wanted.

The Bible say, “God heard His prayers because He feared the Him (His Father).” That is, Christ knew that whatever God asked of Him was right and just—this is the fear of the Lord. We can safely say that ‘fear is the opposite of faith’ because the fear of failure stops us from acting—from doing and responding to God. Fear stops me from responding to the will of God and any request that comes from the Father.

There are countless stories of individuals that in the face of failure moved ahead with their plans and hopes. Very few inventions and great visions would have been realized if those individuals were afraid of failure. I agree with Patrick Henry, “Give me liberty (freedom) or give me death.” He did not fear failure. To him failure was not trying.

Do not be like so many of the children of Israel after seeing or hearing the news of ‘giants in the promise land’; feared to move ahead for fear of loosing in battle with the inhabitants of the promise land, only to face the giants again forty years later.

Let’s not fear failure but fear the Lord—let’s only fear not doing His will—let’s be people of faith. It is time to say with Apostle Paul, “If I live or die, I am the Lord’s.” “I strive for, I press ahead for the high calling of Christ—the prize for which God has called me” Philippines 3:14. I regret ever experiencing the ‘fear of failure’ and giving into that fear. God has forgiven me for my ‘unfruitful fears’ and instead has given me God’s fear—I choose God’s will and God’s purposes—I choose the Fear of the Lord.

A Personal Note: I wrote this article in honor of my oldest boy’s 40th birthday, in whom I instilled determination, ‘never give up attitude’ and love for laughing even in the face of one’s enemies. Happy Birthday #1!
