What’s the question?

December 27, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

What is the question the Church should be asking?

What is the question(s) America’s Christian Church should be asking?…

Has God turned His back on America? Is God about to turn His hand against America? Has God stated that our sin has become so great that judgment is needed? Is the Church hanging in the balance? Is God about to judge America—can judgment be turned away as it was with Nineveh? Will God take back His blessing, His protection, His calling from America? Will God only release His grace on a person-by-person basis, a family-by-family basis, no longer recognizing America as a nation that will do His will?

I believe that the time is now! I believe we are hanging in the balance between destruction and repentance! I believe we have only one choice. I believe the fear that America only has seen from a distance is now on our front door. I believe it is God who is in total control, and America is no longer in control of its destiny!

Don’t you see it? Don’t you feel it? Time is up—it is a time for crying…

Saying for the Christmas Week ‘23

God’s blessing is always worth more than money or favor you will receive in this world…more than financial success, education, gifts, talents, friends, position, beauty, what one owns or where one lives, and how much you give to others; yes, anything in this world!

#6 It’s Time for the Holy Spirit

December 23, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

#6 It’s Time for the Holy Spirit

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NKJV

If there is one thing, one moment in history, one attribute God wanted you to have, it is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus brought salvation to mankind and great peace in believing in Him, but He wanted all His followers to wait for the Holy Spirit which He said the Father would send in my name: (In John 14:26, Jesus said), “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and will bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

The Day of Pentecost was the turning point of the early church. Jesus came, people believed in Him, and He fulfilled all Scriptures thereby bringing and giving great mercy and salvation to all mankind. But the fullness of all that Jesus offered is found by continuing in the Holy Spirit, as Jesus commanded.

The Holy Spirit is critical to the Church and after 2000 years the Church still has not gotten it completely right. Too often we get our eyes on pieces of the Holy Spirit—yes, the gifts and fruits of the Spirit are important but are only scratching the surface of what the Holy Spirit does or can do. He, the Holy Spirit, brings all who the Father and the Son are to mankind, and He is preparing the Church to be the Bride of Christ.

We are indeed in the Latter Rain, as the Bible states, but what the Holy Spirit is about to do (and I see glimpses of the Holy Spirit’s total power) which I call the ‘Second Pentecost’, is upon us, but we must stop limiting, holding back, and restraining the Power of the Holy Spirit. His purposes are stated in the Book of Proverbs—His power is unlimited, and His sensitivity is more than amazing.

Denominations and church doctrines stand in the way of the Holy Spirit. I believe the Church is “standing in the balance” of God’s judgment. The Church will be judged, and her candle sticks be removed if we do not allow the Holy Spirit to do what He is supposed to do. We must start believing in all that He can do!

It is time to get it right! It is time to let the Holy Spirit fulfill His purposes in all the earth. Let’s fulfill Jesus’s command ‘to wait for Him and allow Him to comfort us, teach us, and empower us to be the Sons of God’.

#7 It’s time, who owns the earth?

December 22, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

#7 It’s Time to recognize it’s God’s world

The Church needs to begin laughing at everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Yes, I mean laughing out loud and with conviction. Too often we do not confront stupidity or foolishness. We just sit and listen without standing up for truth and righteousness. Here is one truth that the Church needs to understand and quit thinking like the world.

You and I do not own any part or even a square foot of the earth. You cannot buy that which is not for sale and God is not selling what He owns. “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?” Psalms 24:1-3 KJV

You might process ‘a title’ to a piece of God’s earth, but it does not belong to you. Your deed to the land is worthless except for man’s interest in collecting taxes from you. We fight over the land thinking we can process it and various groups claim the land is theirs by some historical right, but nothing is farther from the truth. It is the Lord’s land, and He gives it to whomever He wills it to. It is not about you or me, or what we think we deserve or lay claim to. History is full of stories or who claims what and why a piece of the earth belongs to whomever. What a waste of energy and an exercise in futility.

If you are exercising some man-given right to secure a title to a piece of ‘real estate’, you need to ask God what He wants you to do with His land, how it will benefit the kingdom of God, and understand that it is the meek alone who will eventually inherit the land. Psalms 37:11, “But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”

This is the promise to all those who believe in Jesus, love Jesus, and humble themselves giving all power, glory, and ownership to God Himself.

In simple language, you own nothing. The earth is the Lord’s land and there is nothing you can do to buy it from God or destroy what God has made. It is the Lord’s!

It’s time to not tempt God

December 10, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

#5 It’s Time to Quit Tempting God…

‘Tempting God’ is more in line with a corrupt lifestyle than any one specific event. Usually, pride precedes tempting God. The act of tempting God has gone unchecked within the Body of Christ for far too long. We tempt God daily. When asking for forgiveness, do you include ‘tempting God’? Why not?

Tempting God is taking God for granted and thinking you are so important that God will automatically keep you from danger or grant you a miracle or healing because you are you. Tempting is listening to Satan and agreeing with him that God will take care of you no matter what. Satan will even use Scripture to get you to think that you are so precious to God that you can do anything, and God will of course save you. What a false way of thinking. When you tempt God, you are manipulating God and/or verses in the Bible.

There are a few ways we tempt God in America, here are a few:

1. Borrow money or things you cannot pay back, thinking God will give you the means to do so.

2. Eating foods that are not good for you, and if you say “grace” over your food that will make it all good. You do not take responsibility for your body (the temple of the Holy Spirit), your health (thinking the medical profession will have a quick fix for me), or even consider what might be good and what might be bad—you think that if you are ignorant God will have mercy and not hold you accountable.

3. Buy things you do not need, view movies or TV that do not honor Christ, have friends that tempt you to commit sins, waste money on yourself never thinking how to help others. Are you selfish and do not care?

4. We think we are equal to God in little earthly ways. You do not say, “No one is good but God” and seek ways or means to support your pride.

5. You do not think or ask God “What I should do?” but want God to bail you out when things fall apart.

These are but a few prevalent sins in America. We need to go back to a simple lifestyle, eat foods/drinks that are not processed, or think that God will overlook our stupidity, arrogance, and selfishness.

It’s time to evaluate what you do and why you are doing what you do. Is your purpose in any activity or plans for you or for God? Are you listening to Satan and people or are you allowing your life to be guided by the Holy Spirit? You have a choice, choose wisely.

It’s time for Unity

December 9, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

#4 It’s Time to become United

Jesus is coming back for His Church. A united church moves and acts like one person, and is a humble church. Too often that is just the opposite direction the church leadership is taking the church body.

There is no unity without humility and for each person to find purpose not in what they do but in what Christ has done or is doing. There are way too many ‘big I’s and little you’ in the Body of Christ. Too many people sit in the seats on the church platform or in the reserved seats in the front row of the church. It is like saying, “OK I am here, we can now get started with the service.”

There are so many religious TV programs honoring the “look what I have done” ministries. God says He honors the least members in the body—it is not the head, arm, or leg that gets God’s honor but the little finger and toe. When the Church begins to tell the so-called “mountains” in the Body of Christ to sit at the back of the church and allow the members that labor without acknowledgment in the Body of Christ to sit at the feet of Christ, then and only then will there be unity and the fulfillment of what Christ is returning for—His Bride, perfected and beautiful! (Remember Christ’s statement about allowing children to come to Him.)

As the verse in Isaiah states, The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God (Isaiah 40:3 KJV). God further states that every mountain will be made low (i.e. the prideful person) and the valley be lifted up (i.e. the unworthy and humble person) throughout the Bible.

It is only in unity, it is only in humility, it is only in all members being honored equality and without jealousy will the Body of Christ make itself ready for Christ’s return.

I like the verse that states that great faith is in humility, considering oneself to be unworthy and an unprofitable servant who says, “I only did what I was supposed to do, I deserve no honor or recognition.” Unity is not in following but in humility!

So likewise, you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ” (Luke 17:10)

#3 It’s Time for Healing with Wisdom

December 6, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

#3 It’s Time…Healing without Wisdom is often no healing at all!

Finding healing: Superficial healing we all can have but great healing takes wisdom as its guide. Everyone wants healing for something in their lives, but few people find great healing. It’s time that healing becomes commonplace and fulfilling; it is time that the healing process becomes part of your daily activities and lifestyle, something to expect.

I was in the kitchen cooking breakfast this morning, listening to a CD comprised of songs I call ‘My daily early morning Revival Songs’. (God moved me many years ago to put together songs of inspiration that sing about—repentance & forgiveness, Jesus & the Holy Spirit, and songs that move one to humility & brokenness.) Psalms says, “His mercies are new every morning.” This only works if one, early each morning, seeks the love and forgiveness of God and in return chooses to love Him with gratefulness. This is the key to making every day new, vibrant, and in the presence of God. Therefore, if God’s mercy is new each day, then healing is also new and needed each day. I try to ‘jump-start’ this process with music.

As I was saying, healing requires wisdom. I have heard about so many healings (healings that lasted and were a ‘complete healing’) when wisdom was involved. Let me give you just one aspect of healing with wisdom.

God’s Rule #1: There is no total, complete, and lasting healing without forgiveness. This is not your typical approach to forgiveness that one would encounter in church services. There are no specific set of words, a specific time in a service, or a doctrinal belief that will give a person a healing. Just as you cannot earn forgiveness nor do you deserve forgiveness, one cannot earn or deserve to be healed. It is a gift from God and there is nothing you can do to earn a healing. (If in doubt, read what Jesus said about healing and forgiveness—they go ‘hand-in-hand’.)

The component in finding healing through forgiveness is humility which seeks not only to find forgiveness for oneself but also for others and even forgiveness for the impact and consequences that your sin had upon others (these are your “iniquities” as stated in the O.T.). A ‘total healing’ means finding total forgiveness—personal sins, corporate sins, and the consequences of your sins upon others or situations (your iniquities).

Furthermore, healing (as well as forgiveness) is like using a ‘water-pic’. No matter how long or hard you brush your teeth or even floss you will leave behind food particles in your mouth. It is only with ‘water’ that your mouth will become clean. This is not different from your sin. You will go through a repentance process and will believe because if you do the right things, say the right words, and feel sorry for what you did so your sin will be forgiven and washed away. This is not nor will ever be true and lasting forgiveness but is the beginning of the process. You will always need the Holy Spirit actively doing what He does best, in convicting you of your sin, washing all the sins and all the effects of your sin from your life and its impact on others, and replacing your sin with the righteousness of God. Total forgiveness as healing is not dependent on your efforts but is the work of the Holy Spirit in your life and you allowing and agreeing with His work in your life in getting everything about sin/sickness gone. The same is true with complete, total, and genuine healing. It is a process that only the Holy Spirit can do. Without the Holy Spirit, your healing is never ‘God-completed’.

When true healing takes place, the Holy Spirit does a complete overview of what, why, when, and where for the healing to take place in your body and then He begins His amazing process of healing—fixing everything wrong and unhealthy. This is the activity of the Wisdom of God. God deciphers what is wrong and taking place, how to fix the problem with one’s health, and then goes about healing every aspect of your needed healing.

Want healing, get wisdom involved, and allow the Holy Spirit to do everything He wants and can do for you. You might not like what the Holy Spirit tells you or enjoy the cleaning process up in your life, but this is one of His many jobs, being part of the Trinity of God, to get you forgiven and healed. This is what ‘conviction and righteousness’ will do for you.

It’s Time #2

December 5, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

It’s Time #2

You’re Next

Hate is growing throughout the world, in fact, people are looking for reasons to express their hate. The hate for Israel is at levels only seen before and during WWII. If you serve the Beast (Satan, the Devil) you love to hate and are relishing in the fact that Israel has given you the opportunity to hate.

Christians who love Jesus Christ and are unashamed of the Gospel of Christ will soon be hated even more than the hate for Jews. You are next and the world will take advantage of their hate for Christians. You will become the world’s central target of their rage, hate, and total disdain for who you are and what you stand for—Jesus Christ.

God wants you to be prepared for persecution. In fact, Christ said you will be persecuted and hated—you can count on this! “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven, rejoice and be glad” Matthew 5:10-11a NIV. Only in patience can one rejoice and still be looking for God’s will to be done (consider Christ’s death and resurrection).

If you are persecuted, you are fighting the ‘good fight of faith’. The Kingdom of God requires a fight, and it is in the battle that is raging in the Kingdom of God where we must be. Never wavering or retreating, which so many churches did during Covid. It is time to be hated, time to promote the Kingdom of God, and time to confront a world that loves their sin and is willing to serve the Beast, Satan, and the Antichrist in order to keep their sin.

Here is an article from a brother in Christ.

Aggressively Righteous

"From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it."
(Jesus) Matthew 11:12

I learned a long time ago that if I am not aggressively righteous, I become passively wicked. We can be "Christians" and still never taste life in the kingdom.

Yes, He has taken our sins and given us His righteousness. Yes, "He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy" (Hebrews 10:14). But it’s that last part I’m talking about – the "being made holy."

If I intend to taste the holiness of God and live in the perfecting of who I am, If I am to come into the fullness of my destiny to become like Jesus, producing the fruit of the Spirit expressed in "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Gal. 5:22), then I must continually press into Him or the world will begin to press into me and His nature in me will become dimmer and dimmer.

If I am not a worshiping man, then anxiety, fear, and depression push into me.

If I am not a man of prayer, I begin to be king of my own life.

If I am not listening carefully for the voice and promptings of the Holy Spirit, my own voice and the voice of the enemy will control me.

If the Word of God is not my daily diet, I cannot know the nature of God and will begin to shape Him in my own image.

Demon forces are waiting to invade an empty house (See Matt. 12:43-45). I must stay full of Yeshua Himself and His Spirit.

Only forceful and Godly-aggressive men and women "lay hold of the kingdom!" I want to "take hold of that for which Messiah Yeshua took hold of me" (Phil. 3:12).

I guarantee it is a life that is never boring!

By Norm Brinkley, 205 Diana Drive, Dickson, TN 37055

When in patience and battle remember these words of Paul: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV

It’s Time Series #1

December 4, 2023 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

It’s Time!

#1 The first in a series of articles

I promised a series of articles based on the concept, “It’s Time.” This is the first article in a series, which will be using the biblical concept of time to define time as we know it.

God does not consider time as we do. To God, Time is not a numerical account of an event at a specific moment in a continuum of the aging process of His creation. Rather, time is the fulfillment of His purposes, action plans, and commands that He has set over His creation. If you want to understand what God is doing or about to do, stop thinking like the world measures time, events, or the age of this universe. Rather, look at time in terms of the fulfillment of what God wants.

God has begun the “hurry-up” process (the days have been shortened) for the fulfillment of every verse of the Bible and His promises of what is to take place, and the completion of all things being placed under the authority of His Son, Jesus Christ. This is what I see, and this is what is taking place—It’s time!

Too often, church doctrine has promoted ‘half-truths’ by emphasizing one verse of the Bible over another. Every verse is important, and every verse can ‘stand on its own’ or be joined to other verses. Take for instance the importance of ‘patience’ during the last days. Patience is a character trait that is ‘little used or deemed important’ in today’s culture. Christians should find patience to be more important and the fruit of the Spirit that will allow them to be raptured.

In the story of the 10 virgins, 5 were taken and 5 left behind, all children of God but 5 had enough oil (the fruit of the Spirit—especially patience—thereby were prepared through patience and readied themselves for Christ’s coming.) The other 5 believed that Christ was delaying His coming so were unprepared—what a mistake we see in so many of our churches.

The word “patience” in the Bible does not mean postponement or inactivity but “to prepare” with purpose. When we “wait for the Lord” this is not doing nothing but learning to prepare and ready oneself for the signal from God to act, to respond in Faith, to immediately be able to get done what God has asked you to do once He speaks.

This is that time! This is the time to prepare and ready oneself for God is about to move in so many directions, and in fact, He has already begun to move in ways so many Christians do not recognize because they are not patiently waiting, patiently looking, patiently standing on the wall in a defense posture in whatever capacity God has called you too, to be that child of God faithfully willing, wanting, and preparing for Christ’s return.
