Persecution…It’s Coming America!

October 14, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Persecution…It’s Coming America!

(Promise Keepers Newsletter 10.13.15)

Bishop John McAreavey, chair of the council for Justice & Peace of the Irish Catholic Bishop’s Conference, told the Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade that Christian persecution is at an unprecedented high, pointing to statistics that show 11 Christians are killed every hour of the day.

Citing a Pew Research survey, McAreavey told the committee that Christian persecution is being gravely underestimated, as "Christianity is now the world’s most oppressed religious group, with persecution against them reported in 110 countries."

He continued: "Many of these countries have significant trade links with Ireland. Persecution is increasing in China. In North Korea a quarter of the country’s Christians live in forced labor camps. Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the Maldives all feature in the 10 worst places to be Christian.

"According to the International Society for Human Rights, a non-religious organization, 80 percent of all acts of religious discrimination in the world today are directed against Christians."

At least 100,000 Christians are killed every year because of their faith in Jesus Christ, McAreavey said, adding that an even greater number of believers are "being tortured, imprisoned, exiled, threatened, excluded, attacked and discriminated against on a widespread scale."

The bishop also shared statements from the Chief Rabbi of Britain, Jonathan Sacks, who recently said that the suffering of Christians in the Middle East is "one of the crimes against humanity of our time," comparing it to Jewish pogroms in Europe and asserted that he’s "appalled at the lack of protest it has evoked."

The killing and torturing of Christians in the Middle East is "a threat to our common humanity and to the religious and cultural patrimony of the world" and places "peace and stability of the entire planet" at risk, the bishop continued.

McAreavey also addressed leaders of Western nations who’ve so far refuse to commit to helping Christians in the Middle East.

"Perhaps because of a fear of being seen as less than aggressively secular in their own country," he said, many governments of majority Christian countries in the West seem reluctant to give direct aid to churches and religious minorities."

He went on to argue that the West risks losing its own understanding of the importance of religion by ignoring the conflict in the Middle East and urged his fellow Catholics to appeal "to all governments and societies to affirm the vital importance of respecting the right to religious freedom and conscience as a fundamental principle of genuine pluralism in a tolerant society."

Devlin has traveled to over 11 different countries including Kurdish Iraq where the persecution of Christians is rampant. He’s urged other leaders to help by traveling to these nations with him, but told The Christian Post in an interview last week that he’s disappointed in some of the excuses he’s heard, with the number one reason being that the pastors cannot afford it.

As an answer to their excuses, Devlin said he would pay for pastors’ airfare to travel to persecuted nations.

"My efforts are bearing fruit, and just hope that we can continue to get the call out there because I think it is a total embarrassment, it’s a black eye in the face of Jesus that we are not going over there," said Devlin told CP.

Devlin plans to return to Iraq in July and hopes other pastors will go along with him.

Christian leaders from the East, such as Sister Diana Momeka, an Iraqi Catholic nun who was driven out of her home by ISIS in August of 2014, are also speaking out.

Momeka recently traveled to the U.S. to address Congress on the militant Islamic group’s persecution of Christians in the region, and said the killing of believers could lead to the destruction of commonality between the Eastern and Western cultures if it continues.

"This is cultural and human genocide," she said during a congressional hearing on Wednesday, adding that the eradication of the Christian community has "placed the whole region on the edge of a terrible catastrophe."

"Christians have for centuries been the bridge that connects Eastern and Western cultures. Destroying this bridge will leave an isolated, culturated conflict zone emptied of cultural and religious diversity."

Take Me Out of Prison

October 11, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Take Me Out of Prison

I have found myself in prison a few times. Seems like I was walking in circles, alone, and depressed of sorts. It is not unusual to have un-forgiveness creating bondage and isolation in one’s life.

Most of us find it easy to repent or enjoy forgiveness from sins we create, but other people’s sins are a completely different matter. I forgive myself, but to forgive others takes an action of one’s will and determination to walk away from all the wrong someone has inflicted on me, in other words, it’s not so simple.

It’s not hard to hold a grudge, resentment or hurt feelings. Most us do not ‘forgive on the spot’ when others wrong us. We do not even realize that we did not forgive that ‘other person’. We tend to accept the wrong, acknowledge that our feelings or personhood was injured, but we just ignore the obvious that someone’s sin hurt us.

It would be impossible for me to record all the times people have offended me, and the many times I have forgotten. Well, that is until God reminds me of the offense—the sin I had forgotten or just buried it in my subconscious. No matter the case, God has not forgotten. He wants me to be clean and I cannot be clean if I hold onto a grudge or a ‘forgotten grudge’.

Sin is complex; I wrote about that a few weeks ago. If we do not forgive others, we place ourselves in prison. We have made our own personal hell on earth. We are not free, and we have not been totally forgiven.

We are captive without liberty; we are bound in a personal prison; we are broken hearted and our feelings and self-esteem are injured. This is a prison where no wholeness or complete freedom is ours in Christ. I would be so bold to say that when we are sinned against we can be brought into a place of darkness, mourning without resolution, ugliness without any sense of beauty or inner healing.

Whenever God reminds me, of a past injury that someone perpetrated on me or a grudge I still hold onto, or a sin someone knowing committed against me and I did not or have not forgiven that person or persons, I try and often have to work over days to forgive and forget. God also usually asks me to forgive their sin so He might forgive them and that they might be healed. God wants to forgive me and He tells me that their sin against me is standing in the way. Yes, He says, “Steve you are in prison—do you want to be set free? Steve, forgive and let go of their sin.”

To be forgiven is to forgive all wrongs committed against oneself—to let go of present or past grudges. Jesus, I want to be set free, grant me your forgiveness to forgive.

Becoming Discouraged

October 9, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Becoming Discouraged

It is not hard to become discouraged in today’s environment. There is trouble around us all. If you listen to the news each day, you might feel there is no hope. What we have counted on in the past—hard work and doing one’s best, political assistance or accountability, a friendly and safe community seem to be slipping away.

As we all know, the ‘last days’ will not be kind to anyone. Jesus said it would be nothing like what has taken place ever before on the earth. History has record of terrible and frightening events and catastrophes that destroyed civilizations, but what is ahead for us is so disturbing it is best not to dwell on what is about to occur. What we cannot do is too give up our hope and confidence. This will happen if we do not take proper steps in securing our future in Christ by having an ‘overcomer-attitude’.

My hope is in Christ alone, not in my works. He knows what is about to happen and always has a way of escape for me. He asks me to be faithful, of strong character, and willing to stay pure before Him. I can do that with His guidance and my willingness to endure.

All of this may seem impossible when you are discouraged that is why I think, no I know, that we must do things to keep discouragement from affecting our personality, our perspectives, and even our commitment to Christ.

I do not know how often you say, “I am so sorry” to God. To be quick and sincere when you realize your mistakes or sins is one matter, to be repentant is another. We need repentance and a willingness to change—this is a daily positional stance we all need too have. I have found repentance of wrong behavior, thoughts, motives that are not pure and God honoring to be one of the corner stones in my relationship with Christ. Exercising forgiveness seems to melt away any discouragement I have, try it.

You will always become discouraged when things do not go smoothly, if you do not have peace within your heart and mind. How do we stay at peace with others and ourselves? God says to always stay in an attitude of prayer and pray about everything! Short prayers, long prayers, scripture prayers, common prayers—just keep praying by giving what you feel or are concerned about to God. Tell God that whatever the problem is, “God this problem is now yours!”

Put music in your life that helps you to believe. A great song to help with this is, ‘Still Believe’ by Kim Walker-Smith (album Still Believe). Songs that talk about believing (not so much hope or faith) is what we need to be singing. If we know what we believe in and express that belief, then you give the opportunity for hope, faith and love to work in your life. “Yes Lord, I still believe. I believe that discouragement and hopelessness has no place in you. I believe that who you are and what you did is enough for me!”

So often we are not truly thankful to God. In fact, that is usually the last thing we do in our walk with God—to be thankful. I try to be thankful about little things in my life. When something happens I say, “Thank you Jesus.” When I am thankful about the nonessentials then things that are critical seem easier to being to be thankful about even though the situation has not turned around. The Bible says to be thankful in all things—no matter the circumstances we need to be in an attitude of thankfulness. Thankfulness will drive discouragement away. If Peter could sing after being beaten and thrown into prison, we can be thankful no matter what circumstances may come our way. Be thankful in order to be encouraged.

Let me say this again—let’s pray, sing, and be thankful in order for encouragement to be ever present in your lives.

October-Character of the Month

October 6, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

How To Have A Good Day

Character of the Month Series

Having character is a necessary requirement for having a good day. We all want to wake up with a smile, feel rejuvenated, and ready to take on life’s challenges. Some days it is hard to get going and a cup of coffee just doesn’t make my day seem better, but I have some suggestions.

1. Get some sleep the night before—nothing will make’s a morning better than sleep.

2. Remember that no matter what you have planned for your day, it is going to change—do not let a change in plans destroy your confidence. Things that get broken can be fixed.

3. Plan to be happy, eat healthy, give to someone (make it a surprise), and tell people you love them (make sure you mean it).

4. If you end up doing things all day long for others, make sure you do something nice for yourself—even if it is only an extra few minutes in the shower or tub.

5. Try to learn one thing new each day or experience something new. Newness will help keep you in a positive mode and your positive outlook on life will be contagious.

6. Do not do things just for others; always work on doing what is right and just. People can get in the way of and hinder your striving to do good—be principled.

7. Turn off your electronic devices—they should not be controlling your life. Set aside a certain time or block of time that you do not use them—be human not robotic.

8. Fresh air and good water is a must for us all. So go for a run outside or a bike ride and remember, drink lots of water that have minerals and vitamins.

9. If you messed up during your day, take time to make things right. You should not go to bed at night feeling like a jerk, having guilt or being angry—make things right with others and yourself.

10. I you are a believing Christian, tell God how much your appreciated His help and kindness to you. Be thankful, take time to praise Him, and say a prayer of gratitude. You are because of Him; do not take Him for granted.

A good day is only as good as you make it. Strive for happiness and true character.

#10 What Should I Do?

September 28, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

#10 What Should I Do?

Series on the End Times, The Revelation & Christ’s Return

You ask, what can I do that will help in the last days? There are practical and spiritual things all of us can do. God has been warning us for sometime of coming doom and His judgment. Remember, all judgment first starts with the Body of Christ. We must get our own house in order to be able to do His will in this world.

I believe strongly that the San Joaquin Valley will be destroyed along with Los Angeles, and an earthquake of 10.4 or greater will happen around the Pacific Rim. It is inevitable. Scientists confirm that these scenarios will happen one day. What Revelation says about God’s judgment will happen to all of us, no matter where we live.

There is nothing you nor I can do when the final days of judgment come. That is why God tells His church to clean up your lives and proclaim, as well as, live the Gospel of Christ. We still have time to repent and ‘fight the good fight of faith’ in the Kingdom of God.

Nothing you can do will take the place of spiritual readiness in the hours/days before Christ’s return. It will be so dark—so much evil in the world, ‘No one will be able to do the works of God’ immediately before Jesus’s return— Jesus warns of this in the Gospels. Just like Satan had ‘his hour’ during the crucifixion of Christ, Satan will have ‘his hour again’ before Christ’s return.

But here are some practical transitional things we ought to be working on whether Christ comes back tomorrow or 50 years from now:

· Memorize Scripture—you might not have access to a Bible.

· Learn to prayer all types of prayers—make prayer a habit and be more thankful.

· Get anointing in your life—God’s Holy Spirit is the only thing that will sustain you during times of tribulation, persecution, and judgment—soak in His Presence.

· You will be persecuted so be prepared to move, to travel to other locations as Jesus commanded, ‘flee to the next city’. You must be mobile!

· Get self-sufficient as much as possible with growing your own food, using home remedies, get & stay out of debt, have back-up plans for your family and what to do in emergencies, and learn how to live in harsh conditions.

· Money and items of value will not help you much, but food and the ability to store food and essential life-sustaining items will be critical.

· Have a library of helpful books; you might not have access to electricity.

· Understand that unity is important—be connected to others within the Body of Christ in order to strengthen and support each other. We will need each other in these dark times.

· Do not believe ‘Christ is here or over there’, you will know when Christ appears—everyone will see him—you will not hear of His coming ‘second-hand’.

· Do not allow yourself to listen to prophets or teachers that create ‘worry or fear’. This is from the Devil not Christ. Do not be anxious or fret over what to do. God will show you and it is your spiritual readiness that will sustain you, not your abilities, intellect or money.

· Lastly, you can make it to the end—it is a promise from God.

I hope you enjoyed this series on the End Times. I have had fun writing it. May the Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ keep and enrich you until He returns!

#9 America and Its Church

September 27, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

#9 America and Its Church

Series on the End Times, The Revelation & Christ’s Return

Is there any church mentioned in Revelation that typifies America’s religious people? I believe there is—Thyatira. It is so similar it is scary.

Only a few people will tell what really goes on in our nation’s capital. Our system is completely corrupt and most politicians do not look to God to make decisions but rather vote for bills that support ‘only what is in it for them’. There is no help for America outside of repentance and turning to Christ—do not look to politicians for help.

God blames the church for the conditions within America. If the church would be a New Testament Church, God would not be speaking judgment against her. We allow Jezebel to tempt and force us to honor idols of gold and silver (money and earthly wisdom). We say that any type of sexual sin is OK—its’ teaching is all around us. God has been killing our children by allowing us to use ‘abortion on demand’ and will soon judge us, not solely on what we do, but also what we think and how we make our decisions. There is no escape! (Read Revelation 2:18-29)

The only bright hope is what God says to ‘church members’ that have kept themselves pure—they do not use the doctrine of Jezebel, commit fornication, or have idols in their lives. God says He will not place any other burden on us other than “hold fast till I come.”

Christ is coming to the church in America with “eyes like unto a flame of fire and his feet are like fine brass.” “Eyes of fire”—He sees everything and convicts us of our sin and “his feet as brass” which is His judgment—trampling on us, there is no hiding from Him. There will come a time when nothing we do will bring back what America has lost, i.e., what God originally gave to us out of His mercy and great grace. A revival has to come to America and it has to start with us before it is too late.

If we are faithful, if we ‘keep-on’, if we refuse to be part of the sins of America then God will allow us to ‘judge the nations’, and we will be ‘given the morning star’.

#8 Trends, Warnings & Predictions

September 26, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

#8 Trends, Warnings & Predictions

Series on the End Times, The Revelation & Christ’s Return

There is no doubt Revelation has been unfolding since the time of the early church. I could site volumes of Biblical, scientific, and historical evidence to this fact—it is an undeniably true. Jesus is coming back and the fulfillment and completion of this fact started 2000 years ago.

Trends—The Later Rain has come and is still being fulfilled. The Gospel has been proclaimed around the world. Israel has been established as a nation with almost all of the Promised Land now under its control. The world is falling apart ecologically and our most valuable resource, water, is now on the brink of becoming rare and unavailable to most of the earth’s population. The Christian Church is no longer the moral force in the world it once was—it has fallen away. The Church wants to be part of whatever political force is in power in order to control what is taking place all around us—it looks to idols (and the depths of Satan) for help. The time of the Gentiles is about to be fulfilled and the time for Israel is upon us.

Warning—do not say that the ‘mark of the beast’ is about to come; it has been manifest for sometime now. Just because individuals do not have a physical ‘mark of the beast’ on their skin, does not mean they do not have its manifestation in their lives. I believe strongly that if God would open your eyes you would be able to see the mark on others. There are individuals and groups that serve only the Antichrist today.

Predictions—the Antichrist will come with great signs, miracles and wonders. He will deceive many, and many Christians will reject Christ by allowing their love to grow cold. The world will no longer be able to sustain life, but Satan will feed and clothe you if you worship him. You will not need to work—he will give you everything, just like he promised Christ while he, Satan, was tempting Jesus in the desert. People will curse God and worship the Antichrist for his help to stay alive.

More predictions—the Antichrist will help Israel rebuild the temple and his image will be set up in the temple. Then God comes to Israel, the nation repents with great sorry, all Israeli prophets will be killed because they said it was OK for the image to be placed in the temple. Israel acknowledges Jesus as its King and Lord, and sends out evangelists to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and the greatest revival of all time begins on planet earth. This sets the stage for the Battle of Armageddon.

Our job, commanded within The Revelation, is to endure to the end. There is nothing you or I can do physically to prepare for its end. It is a matter of repentance, holiness, being faithful in keep God’s commandments, and having great patience while storing anointing in our lives that will help us once we hear His coming in the clouds. Do not try to save your life, you will loose it, but rather fulfill what God has spoken to you to do and wanted you be from the foundation of the earth…the Bride of Christ, pure and lovely!

#7 Watching, Praying & Seeing the Signs

September 25, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

#7 Watching, Praying & Seeing the Signs

Series on the End Times, The Revelation & Christ’s Return

The very first command God makes in Revelation is for the church to repent. We are going to get ourselves into situations (as Israel did) that require continual, sincere repentance. We are imperfect and sin comes easy to us, just as it did to Paul. When it comes to getting ready for Christ’s return I want repentance; you can have the limited and imperfect knowledge that so many scholars think will save them in the last days. Nevertheless, there are three behaviors we all must have in order to be saved and to endure to the end.

To watch: means to be in a constant state of awareness; to look and wait expectantly or in anticipation; to be on the lookout or alert—to be a watchman. We are in a battle between good and evil and God calls us to this battle, “The Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force.” Once we no longer battle, we no longer fight against evil (wanting the easy life)—we are no good to God! We must have the grace, peace, and joy of the Lord multiplied in our lives daily. This is why all New Testament writes used this greeting at the beginning of every book written to individuals or groups. We must grow and not become satisfied with what God gave us yesterday—there is always more and you will need these qualities to battle—to watch.

To pray: to make a fervent request, to plead or to beseech: the act of confession, praise or thanksgiving in addressing God. God says to pray without stopping, to praise God while doing all things, and to be thankful in every situation you find yourself in. If only we would do this, God says if you would, the will of God will always be yours—what a promise. No wonder God says to pray in the last days—this way you will not miss His will for you in troubling times. Let’s pray, let’s bless God, let’s expect His perfect will to be done in everything that involves our walk with Him.

· Pray that our flight be not in winter

· Pray for Christ to come back

· Pray we will find repentance

· Pray we will not be deceived by Satan

· Pray for patience and to be an overcomer

· Pray for anointing and to let our lights shine…Pray!

The signs: something that suggests the presence or existence of a fact, or quality not immediately evident—a display in a public place to advertise or to convey information or a direction. God says in Revelation that there will be signs in the earth and in heaven. This is just the beginning of the end but these will offer us clues on what to do. I believe many signs have already been given and that they began 2000 years ago. Based on the Epistles of John, “As you have heard the Antichrist will come and now there are many Antichrist’s, this is how we know it is the last days,” I John 2:18, and Rev. 1:9, “I John who also am your brother and companion in tribulation and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ”. John simply makes the point that The Revelation had already started for him—tribulation had begun, Antichrist was showing himself, and he now is walking in patience of Jesus Christ. We must have patience; patience for God to do all He wants to do in His timeframe and for His purposes. The last days have begun…’Even so, come, Lord Jesus!’

Where Are We Going Wrong?

September 24, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

#6 Where Are We Going Wrong?

Series on the End Times, The Revelation & Christ’s Return

If you study Scripture and Church History it is not hard to understand the actions behind Christ’s Second Coming. There are problems and varied interpretations of what, when & why with regards to God’s actions and motives about Christ’s return.

Here are some reasons for the confusion:

1. We want to be chosen, that is to say, we want to trust we are doing and believing in the ‘right things’ God expects of us. We want the easy way out sometimes and God’s favor without commitment. Therefore we interpret what is written in the Bible to fit our desires.

2. We emphasize one set of scriptures over another: our focus in on Old Testament and Israel’s progress; or if we are pre, mid, or post rapture; or the classic—‘this is what I believe;’ instead of not answering the question, ‘what is the Revelation of Jesus Christ?’ (Figure out who Jesus is and you will get all the other things right.)

3. Too often we place all our ‘eggs in the same basket’. We hang all our hopes on one fact, one truth, or one scripture. We ignore what other Scriptures say in order to keep what we believe—ignorance abounds within the Church.

4. We allow apostles, prophets, teachers to teach doctrines that God has always said ‘no too’. They tell a few truths in order to tell lies. The Bible warns of such teaching and just because you like someone or are a friend to a person, should not mean that you do not challenge what he or she says. This warning is given to us over and over again by Jesus in the Gospels and repeated in Revelation, as well as, spoken of by Paul.

5. If we do not use the ‘check and balance’ that Paul has given to us in the Epistles, then there is no way we can judge if what those in authority say is true. Furthermore, if we do not keep God’s commandments (Jesus said, “If you love me you will keep my commandments”) God cannot work with you. (You will know yourself and others by the fruit—their actions & motives.)

6. Be prepared to adjust what you have always believed to be a biblical fact regarding Christ’s return. There is so much symbolism and types within Revelation, no two people believe exactly the same. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit teaches you and you see the events unfold mentioned in the Bible regarding the Second Coming, be prepared to adjust what to expect and respond to as God gets closer in His return. Do Not Be Set In Your Ways.

7. Remember, ‘we know in part and we see in part’, not everything will be clear to us until Christ’s return. God has said enough and some things John saw, as stated in Revelation, he was not permitted to write down and share with us. You and I will not know everything, that is why being perfect according to the commands in Revelation should be our guide even if we do not know the exact timeframe or the day of Christ’s return.

Loving Christ and doing what He says should be enough! He promises to keep you during the last days. Obedience, watching, praying, and being steadfast will keep us on track for His Coming.

#5 The Jesus of the Gospels & The Last Days

September 21, 2015 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

#5 The Jesus of the Gospels & The Last Days

Series on the End Times, The Revelation & Christ’s Return

In Revelation Jesus comes back in a fighting mode. He is serious about His return and He wants His church to be ready and prepared. In fact, He is so serious about the Church getting ready, He demands we be perfect in many ways or we will miss all the good stuff He has planned for us.

In the Gospels Christ gives us a different perspective to The Last Days. Why so different? I am not so sure they are different. God is simple yet complex. The more we know the more about His purposes and actions the more everything becomes clear—even to the simple and hard of hearing like myself.

Jesus makes these illustrations about The End of Times and His Second Coming:

ü The sign of His coming: 1. Do not let any person deceive you, 2. Many will come in my name, 3. There will be many wars, be not troubled and note that this is not the end, 4. Famines, plagues, earthquakes will come and this is only the beginning, 5. You will be persecuted, 6. Many false prophets will deceive many people, 7. The love of many will cease, 8. But if you endure you will be saved.

ü The gospel must be preached throughout the whole earth before I come back: 1. The temple will be built and the anti-Christ will set up his image in the temple, 2. Warning not to prepare or change what you are doing but only pray that your resurrection be not in a time of darkness and not after the fact, 3. At this time there will be great tribulation (sound like Revelation?), 4. There will be great signs and miracles by persons saying ‘I am the Christ’, 5. All of this is being done to deceive the chosen and elected in Christ, 6. Immediately after the tribulation, the sun will be darkened and the moon turn to blood, 7. And now Christ will return, coming in clouds, with angels, with a great sound, with wind and all will see Him and mourn because of Him.

ü The ‘hour and day’ (this is what Jesus calls the timeframe of these events—sound familiar to Revelation)—No man or angel will know, only the Father in heaven: 1. People will be going about their normal routines of marrying and having fun, 2. God will secure first those who are His, just like He did with Noah and the flood, 3. Certain people will be gone—one taken and another left, 4. You must watch or Jesus will come to you as a thief—get your house in order, 5. You will not be able to guess the hour of My coming—a good and wise servant is one who is doing God’s will keeping God’s commandments, 6. Christians will be saying ‘Jesus delays His coming’—this is not true, 7. Lastly, if you do not watch and serve Christ till the end, your reward will be with those He throws into hell.

ü What is doing Christ will and keeping His commandments?—Matthew chapter 25 (the previous statements came from chapter 24): 1. 10 virgins, five wise and five foolish; the wise virgins had oil (anointing in their lives and were ready to let it shine at a moments notice), the five that were not prepared were not allowed in heaven 2. The ‘story of talents,’ God gives to us talents/gifts and we are to make them grow and produce, if you do not you are left behind, 3. In the end there is an account taken to see who is worthy to stay in heaven—if you are sheep (willing to let Christ lead you) and not goats (suborn and self-will), you can stay in heaven, 4. If you helped people who are poor, in prison, naked, sick, or a stranger then God lets you have your reward (This is both physical and spiritual conditions, do not think that only your time and money can help people. God expects us to help others when they are in these spiritual conditions also) 5. The choice is yours between eternal punishment and eternal life.

I believe that Revelation is clarified with what Jesus says in the Gospels. He gives a lot of wisdom by offering ‘a road map of what to look for or avoid’ in order to survive and prepare for His coming. One cannot understand anything about Revelation without the Gospels or you will add or take away from the message of Revelation. If you “Got Jesus” you can “Get Revelation”; besides, The Revelation is ‘the revelation of Jesus Christ’ chapter 1 vs. 1.
