Prayers vs. Your Vote
Do you pray about how and for whom you vote for? How often do you pray? Time in prayer vs. time you think about or watch news about the political issues and politicians you vote for? For most Christians there is a great disconnect between your prayers and your voting record.
After the last Presidential election, I heard multiple stories about Christians voting for Trump because God told them to vote for him. One very large religious group had not voted in an election for decades but on November 5, 2024 they all turned out to vote for Trump. Story after story came my way, and the news media was so surprised as to the success of trump campaign when all the surveys said he was going to lose by a landslide.
God is not mocked and God does not move unless His Saints/believers listen and obey His voice. The great evangelist Rev. Moody said, “I pray on my knees as if everything depends on God, but when I get up off my knees I work as if God is depending on me.”
I have heard the call for fasting and praying for the next 21 days for God to have His way in American and Israeli elections. This is no different than any other election—pray and allow God to have His way or do nothing (don’t pray or vote) and allow Satan to have his way.
Voting alone does not equal God’s purpose or desires. Prayer, on the other hand, brings about God’s purposes, will, and the manifestation of our faith. Let’s start wearing out our blue jeans at the knees—praying until God says “stand up” and go and vote God’s will into the 2024 election.
Good only comes about when we pray until God’s anointing goes away and God allows us to get up and do something for Him by voting His will for America. God’s will in American elections comes through PRAYER, and then and only then does your vote count. Prayer requires your action in any situation, but your vote is worthless without prayer. I’d rather be like Rev. Moody: pray first, then act—this is the winning combination for having God’s will done. Pray and vote in November 2026!
