Words of Wisdom from two Christian ministers

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Article #3 Christmas 2018

The following are quotes from a couple of ministers within the Body of Christ. Their words are true and full of wisdom. God’s wisdom is not clever sayings or witty insights into one’s character flaws or even large ideas that are said with brevity. God’s wisdom deals with the understanding of God’s will and the difference between good and evil.

Kris Vallotton stated this in a recent email to me. You can read more about his words of wisdom by clicking on the links. Remember the Scripture, “We fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers of evil, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,” Ephesians 6:12.

“There was an onslaught of fear during 2018 because we moved into enemy territory that has been occupied for years. Demonic forces that have held the planet in their clutches for generations were, and still are, being broken.

You may have experienced resistance in the form of anxiety, depression, nightmares, and even suicidal thoughts… because you have taken new land to change the world and to love the hell out of the earth. And as you take new ground, there’s resistance pushing back against you.

On the blog this week I wanted to revisit this word as we begin to wrap up 2018. Check it out for four signs that you’re under the influence of a specific demonic force I see at play on the earth in this time.” Kris Vallotton Ministries.

Another article I received about wisdom and its effect on the Body of Christ is from Nathan Shaw. Nathan Shaw is living in New Zealand and had this to say about 2019 and the “New Pentecost”.

The Pentecost—a Part of the Process and the Wisdom of Pathways

God is in charge of times and seasons (Daniel 2:21). The day of Pentecost happened at an appointed time. Because God is in charge of times and seasons it’s easy to think we are powerless to affect change or live in ultimate destiny until such an appointed time. But let me give you the big picture. Jesus commanded His disciples to teach the newly formed Church everything that He had taught them (Matthew 28:20). The disciples received three years of solid teaching from the most anointed Teacher in the universe!

Pentecost was preceded by a process and initiated a process. It was an event that was part of a process. Because of the process, the whole city of Jerusalem was shaken (Acts 5:28). It’s easy to idolize or idealize the day of Pentecost. The most powerful event wasn’t the outpouring on the day of Pentecost. It was a city shaken by a Church caught up in a culture of Spirit-empowered change.

The outpouring at Pentecost involved Jews gathered from all over the world (Acts 2:9-11). Jewish mindset understood the importance of pathways. "But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day" (Proverbs 4:18 NASB). The wisdom of pathways is built into the book of Proverbs. The Jews lived it and breathed it. It was their wisdom for life. A pathway has a destination that is arrived at one step at a time.

No matter what time frame an ancient Israelite lived, in there was always a pathway before them. No matter what time frame a Christian lives in, there is always a pathway before them. Each person decides whether they walk on the pathway or not. The pathway is not dependent on times and seasons. The pathway always exists. It is spiritually discerned. Some see it; some don’t. Wisdom always implores us to walk on the pathway (Proverbs 1:20, 8:1-4, Matthew 7:13-14). Some hear Wisdom’s voice; some don’t (Matthew 7:24-27). Nathan Shaw, Heart of David Ministries, www.heartofdavidministries.org

Whenever we talk about wisdom it is always about choices and what you and I must do or not to do. It is about confronting evil and darkness wherever it is and what form it takes. It is about bringing the Kingdom of God to earth and the manifestation of God’s will around us.

Article #2 Christmas 2018

Not By Accident: The Politicization of the Bible by Phillip Lee

“Biblical authority is not tyranny: We read, reflect – and reconcile ourselves with Scripture; but we never simply remake it or reject it – if we affirm its authority.” Professor Marion L. Soards

The relentless social pressure that exists to protect “gay” from discrimination has resulted in a tragically dangerous code.

While I personally deplore any and all forms of “gay bashing” and other hate crimes against homosexuals, the extreme medical risks and the fundamental psychological problems often associated with homosexual practice, cannot be undermined or dismissed.

In America, very little is being offered which promotes the truth about homosexuality and the general public has slowly but certainly bought into the many untruths with regard to the topic of homosexuality. This did not happen by accident.

In December 1973, by a narrow vote, homosexuality was removed from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (DSM) by the American Psychiatric Association. The vote was not based on scientific research but on political pressure from homosexual activists. So much for an individual’s right of self-determination to address their unwanted homosexual feelings and behavior.

In a nutshell, the problem is the politicization of psychiatry, psychology, and most definitely, the Bible, to the extent that the freedom to investigate and treat homosexuality has been and continues to be under serious attack.

During my 17 years as ‘gay,’ I personally witnessed far too many lives devastated and some taking their own lives over the celebration of ‘gay.’ In each and every case the ruin and carnage were not brought about by the individual trying to resolve their same-gender attraction.

Today, in America and around the world, in the name of tolerance, diversity, and equality, often the truth has been and is being suppressed regarding homosexuality. We can and we must reverse the current trend through education and understanding.

Yes, because of very real discrimination, homosexual activists created a brilliant strategic plan to gain across-the-board acceptance. Yet their plan was and is based upon a flawed paradigm to persuade people they were born with same-gender attraction and they cannot change.

This strategy has worked. But the biggest losers just may be homosexual men and women who may get everything they think they want, but will they be denied what they truly need?

Upholding Biblical sexual morality does not = bigotry.

The Monthly Article on Character Building

December, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

One’s Christian Character

The character of the Month Series

A person cannot fully develop one’s character without the acquisition of biblical principles. The moral aspect of a ‘person of good character’ requires biblical truths that come only from Scripture. To read the Bible and then develop the moral truths of Scripture is a science. It requires an intellectual and an emotional response. It is not easy neither is it usually done quickly.

My good friend Otis takes great pleasure in spending time in Scripture, analyzing the meaning of various verses and then applying them to his circumstances and his life. It is a daily task to him and anyone who spends time with him can easily see how biblical truths have made him a better person. Here are some recent insights Otis has sent me.

11/05/AM "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper."— Isa 54:17

This day is notable in English history for two great deliverances wrought by God for us. On this day the plot of the Papists to destroy our Houses of Parliament was discovered, 1605. "While for our princes they prepare in caverns deep a burning snare, He shot from heaven a piercing ray, and the dark treachery brought to day." And secondly—today is the anniversary of the landing of King William III, at Torbay, by which the hope of Popish ascendancy was quashed, and religious liberty was secured, 1688. This day ought to be celebrated, not by the celebrations of youth, but by the songs of saints. Our Puritan forefathers most devoutly made it a special time of thanksgiving. There is extent a record of the annual sermons preached by Matthew Henry on this day. Our Protestant feeling, and our love of liberty should make us regard its anniversary with holy gratitude. Let our hearts and lips exclaim, "We have heard with our ears, and our fathers have told us the wondrous things which Thou didst in their day, and in the old time before them." Thou hast made this nation the home of the gospel; and when the foe has risen against her, Thou hast shielded her. Help us to offer repeated songs for repeated deliverances. Grant us more and more a hatred of Antichrist, and hasten on the day of her entire extinction. Till then and ever, we believe the promise, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper." Should it not be laid upon the heart of every lover of the gospel of Jesus on this day to plead for the overturning of false doctrines and the extension of divine truth? Would it not be well to search our own hearts, and turn out any of the Popish lumber of self-righteousness, which may lie concealed therein?

11/13/AM "The branch cannot bear fruit of itself."— John 15:4 KJV

How did you begin to bear fruit? It was when you came to Jesus and cast yourselves on His great atonement, and rested on His finished righteousness. Ah! what fruit you had then! Do you remember those early days? Then indeed the vine flourished, the tender grape appeared, the pomegranates budded forth, and the beds of spices gave forth their smell. Have you declined since then? If you have, we charge you to remember that time of love, and repent, and do thy first works. Be most in those engagements, which you have experimentally proved to draw you nearest to Christ because it is from Him that all your fruits proceed. Any holy exercise, which will bring you to Him, will help you to bear fruit. The sun is, no doubt, a great worker in fruit creating among the trees of the orchard: and Jesus is still more so among the trees of His garden of grace. When have you been the most fruitless? Has not it been when you have lived farthest from the Lord Jesus Christ, when you have slackened in prayer, when you have departed from the simplicity of your faith, when your graces have engrossed your attention instead of your Lord, when you have said, "My mountain standeth firm, I shall never be moved"; and have forgotten where your strength dwells—has not it been then that your fruit has ceased? Some of us have been taught that we have nothing out of Christ, by terrible abasements of heart before the Lord; and when we have seen the utter barrenness and death of all creature power, we have cried in anguish, "From Him all my fruit must be found, for no fruit can ever come from me." We are taught, by past experience, that the more simply we depend upon the grace of God in Christ, and wait upon the Holy Spirit, the more we shall bring forth fruit unto God. Oh! to trust Jesus for fruit as well as for life.

11.12 AM "The trial of your faith."— 1 Peter 1:7 KJV

Faith untried may be true faith, but it is sure to be little faith, and it is likely to remain dwarfish so long as it is without trials. Faith never prospers so well as when all things are against her: tempests are her trainers, and lightings are her illuminators. When a calm reigns on the sea, spread the sails, as you will, the ship moves not to its harbor; for on a slumbering ocean, the keel sleeps too. Let the winds rush howling forth, and let the waters lift up themselves, then, though the vessel may rock, and her deck may be washed with waves, and her mast may creak under the pressure of the full and swelling sail, it is then that she makes headway towards her desired haven. No flowers wear so lovely a blue as those which grow at the foot of the frozen glacier; no stars gleam so brightly as those which glisten in the polar sky; no water tastes so sweet as that which springs amid the desert sand, and no faith is so precious as that which lives and triumphs in adversity. Tried faith brings experience. You could not have believed your own weakness had you not been compelled to pass through the rivers, and you would never have known God’s strength had you not been supported amid the water-floods. Faith increases in solidity, assurance, and intensity, the more it is exercised with tribulation. Faith is precious, and its trial is precious too. Let not this, however, discourage those who are young in faith. You will have trials enough without seeking them: the full portion will be measured out to you in due season. Meanwhile, if you cannot yet claim the result of long experience, thank God for what grace you have; praise Him for that degree of holy confidence whereunto you have attained: walk according to that rule, and you shall yet have more and more of the blessing of God, till your faith shall remove mountains and conquer impossibilities.

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Article #1 Christmas 2018

As the Bible states, “Stupidity is all around us and wisdom is hard to find,” Steve’s interpretation of Proverbs. “It is easier for us to believe in a lie than to accept the truth,” once again Steve’s interpretation of Proverbs. Man often accepts ignorance over being a student of enlightenment. Besides, becoming ‘smart’ takes effort and becoming ‘an intellectual’ requires a change in one’s character.

When I became a professor at a large Christian university on the west coast, I was amazed at how many ignorant professors there were trying to teach students to be smart. Oh, they had knowledge of certain subjects but the application of knowledge (or the finding of wisdom) in order to change one’s outlook on life along with a paradigm switch in one’s character was hard to come by in most classes.

This next series of articles is about wisdom. How to get it, how to apply it, and what it looks like. I am not taking the ‘usually road’ to acquire wisdom but the ‘road less traveled’ approach to wisdom that demands application. If wisdom is only what you are thinking then you do not have wisdom. Wisdom demands decision-making, making life-changing choices. Wisdom is hard to come by and even harder to keep.

I will be sharing not just my perspective on wisdom but will be sharing what others have found regarding wisdom working in their lives. My view of life states that wisdom comes only from the Father of Lights but He offers wisdom freely by placing wisdom all around us if only we would take Him up on receiving His wisdom. This is why I am calling the series of articles, “Wise Men Still Seek Him.”

However, make no mistake, one can have Jesus but not His wisdom. One can call oneself a Christian yet could be the dumbest person sitting in a church. My hope is to help you reject the lies of ignorance and attain to the wisdom that will make you a rich person with the ability to love and be loved. It is this wisdom that Jesus came to offer to us and it is only wise men and women that can find it. Wisdom demands the offering of love and the acceptance of humility; this is why wisdom is often hard to find in today’s society.

Running with the 3P’s

November 20, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Preparing for Rain

5th Article in the series, “What is happening Steve?”

As I said in the previous article, “We cannot just pray but we must run when God is about to send His rain.” It is important to prepare to run. If you are not prepared or willing to fight the good fight of faith by running ahead of all earthly power bringing everything under the subjection and rule of Christ, rain will not come your way.

God is looking for soldiers that will not just stand on the wall, watch & warn the people of Christ, but soldiers that will run into the battle—the battle against everything that exalts itself against Jesus Christ.

This takes power—the power of the Gospel of Christ. Knowing the truth of the Gospel and believing in the Gospel no matter what the odds are. We walk and we run, not by sight or man’s wisdom but by the power of Christ within us given us by the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We must manifest the fruits and gifts of the Spirit for all the world to see.

But it also takes peace. The peace of Jesus Christ knows no knowledge because knowledge does not control the peace of Christ nor can understand how the peace of Christ works. The peace of Christ not only keeps our minds and hearts, but it brings us protection and healing. There are so many individuals in our nation that are sick physically and mentally because the peace of God does not rule or live within them or their homes. The peace of Christ can and does bring healing to our lives and homes in so many ways if we ask for and look for and depend on God’s peace keeping us. I have seen individuals healed by simply asking for the peace of God to reside within the hurting person.

Lastly, the prophetic word of God is the final ingredient to activating the rain of God. The realization of the living Word of God in our lives—the Bible! Whatever Bible verses God gives you, that God speaks to your heart—it is these verses that God wants you to use in calling down rain from heaven. The living, dynamic, and electrifying verses of the Bible do connect with heaven in commanding the rain from heaven to fall on us.

I call these the 3P’s of The Anointed: power, peace & prophetic verses of the Bible. It is time to run—to run with power, peace and Bible verses to not only pray for rain, but to run ahead of the rain demonstrating the power of a Risen Christ. Remember, there is no power on earth, no darkness from Satan that can come against you and overcome you.

Tried yes, cast down at times yes, but never forgotten and never overcome. He knows our names and our prayers are always kept in heaven, never forgotten. Loved not only in this lifetime but forever. I cannot ever escape the love of God that is found in Jesus Christ. This is why I run—I see Christ in front of me and I am running to Him!

Running Ahead of Everything

November 18, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Preparing for Rain, Running Ahead of Power & Authority

4th Article in the series, “What is happening Steve?”

We cannot just pray but we must run when God is about to send His rain. If you read yesterday’s article about God’s receipt for rain from heaven and you said to yourself, “I have done all of this” then what I am about to say it the ‘frosting on the cake’ for the rain from heaven you had been expecting.

(A Historical note: After the great Azusa Street Revival in L.A., William Seymour stated, “In about 100 years a greater revival would be sent from heaven much great than the Azusa Revival.” God told me, “Do not call it a revival because it is much greater than any other revival or spiritual awakening that has ever taken place in America.” It would not last a few years [3 to 6 years] but continue for many years.)

There is a final ingredient to having the rain from heaven; it is the very last thing Elijah did. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel (I Kings 18:46. Elijah ran but he did not just run but he outran the horses and chariot of King Ahab.

This is the final act we must be prepared to do. This is the most significant aspect of experiencing God’s rain from heaven. It is God’s rain, which you cannot contain. Rain that floods everything and empowers us to do God’s will at every level of our society.

For too long the church has been reacting to political authority and power influence in our nation. God never meant that to be. God is supposed to be the first and final answer in every nation and society. We have been voting and hoping for God to give us what we need through our political process. This must stop! We are to ‘outrun’ or ‘run ahead’ of the king’s power and authority (his horses and chariots).

(Historical note #2: After Pentecost, the 120 individuals in the upper room took the rain and fire from heaven (the Holy Spirit—His anointing, the five ministries, and the rain of the Holy Spirit) into all the world. Within 40 years the Roman Empire began to crumble under the influence of the Holy Spirit. It is the power of God, not the power of political authority that is to reign supreme over the earth. The early Church learned to run and so must we also.)

If you want things to say as they are and not ‘outrun’ the political power and authority of our land, then God will not send us His rain. To have His rain is to run ahead of all political power and authority that exists in the earth. God wants to set the standard for what is right, what is just, what is good and righteous. There is nothing good in this world outside of Jesus Christ. Want rain then run ahead of all natural and political authority and power. This is God’s promise embedded in the Holy Spirit. We are to place all things under Jesus’ feet and make all things in subjection to Him. This is our purpose and duty—to run! To run with God’s authority and power is to cause the world to react to God, not the other way around.

Will you run with me? Will you do what Jesus wants you to do? Will you ‘outrun’ all authority in the earth using the authority and power of Christ to doing God’s will? Will we continue to accept what is ‘politically correct’ or what God says? Will you allow Christ to be the first and the last answer to every need and every question the world is trying to answer?

Will you hear His voice, humble yourself, pray without stopping, asking forgiveness and God’s healing of rain over our land, and last but not least, outrun the King’s power and authority? Will you carry the anointing of God’s power and authority throughout all the earth? Will you run!

Expecting Rain

November 17, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Preparing for Rain—Be Humble & Expecting

3rd Article in the series, “What is happening Steve?”

The Bible has an answer to any question you might have. God wrote a book that helps us no matter what we face or what predicament we encounter in life. Here is God’s answer to rain. It is found in I Kings. Elijah was always causing problems, as well as, solving the problems he created under God’s direction.

I Kings 18: 41-46: And Elijah said to Ahab, Get you up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down on the earth, and put his face between his knees, 43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. 44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there rises a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say to Ahab, Prepare your chariot, and get you down that the rain stop you not. 45 And it came to pass in the meanwhile, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. 46 And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

I heard the sound of rain from heaven months ago. I have been waiting for the Body of Christ to ‘get hungry’ for God and also begin to hear the sound of rain in order for all of us to humble ourselves and seek God to send His rain into the hearts and minds of His children. Here is the Biblical sequence for obtaining heaven’s rain on the earth.

First, Elijah heard the sound of abundance of rain—that’s a lot of rain and he told others.

Second, Elijah climbed to the top of the mountain Carmel—where he could see all that was about to take place.

Third, He humbled himself by falling to the ground and hiding his face between his knees.

Fourth, He prayed expecting God to answer his prayer but would not get up from his position of prayer or humility until something happened.

Fifth, Elijah would not stop praying even though his first six prayers did not work.

Sixth, when Elijah heard that a hand had risen out of the sea (this is a type of the hand of God with five fingers, symbolizing the five ministries that come out of the Body of Christ, the sea) then Elijah knew rain would be coming very quickly.

Seven, Elijah told his servant to tell others and especially the king (those in authority) to get ready for rain. Do not stay where you are at but run for your life! God’s rain is coming!

Have you done this? Have you humbled yourself? Are you expecting? Have you given up? Are you planning to tell others once you see the beginning of the five ministries arising out of the Body of Christ? Are you prepared to run? Let’s get ourselves together and prepare for rain—rain that we cannot be stopped or contained. This is what Jesus wants us to do.

God’s Miracles

November 16, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Did You Hear?

It’s time for doing less and believing more!

“There God changes the path of our rockets in mid-air, said a terrorist” Jewish Telegraph, July 25, 2014. This was a heading in a Jewish newspaper. My wife was sent a Facebook message with a picture of the newspaper’s heading. So I decided to do some research and here are some quotes from various sources within Israel. Come on Christians, it’s time to believe in the unbelievable. God is indeed preparing and growing Israel’s faith for the coming Armageddon. Here are some news quotes:

“Headlines in Israel claim miracles are protecting the Jews during the Gaza Strip ground war, with one headline proclaiming that Hamas terrorists are complaining about God changing the direction of rockets in mid-air.”

“If you go by the headlines of local newspapers in Israel, the Jews under attack by Hamas rockets have another hidden defense: God himself. The Jewish Telegraph opens with a quote from David Ben Gurion, who once said, “In Israel, in order to be a realist, you must believe in miracles.” The article claims that even the Hamas have become frustrated with Israel’s miracles.”

“[T]he Talmud Yerushalmi tells us that in no way are we to depend on miracles. It argues that we must not desist from our obligations and must not wait for miraculous intervention from the Supernatural. How perfectly relevant are both of these views today. We witness hourly miracles. As one of the terrorists from Gaza was reported to say when asked why they couldn’t aim their rockets more effectively: ‘We do aim them, but their God changes their path in mid-air.’ Amen! And when our God is not busy doing that, He is ensuring that the high-tech brain power of our ‘start-up nation’ is working overtime to produce yet another Iron Dome battery to help protect our cities and us.”

“The Jewish nation’s existence for six millennia is a miracle. There is no single Jewish life without a miracle. A miracle is an essential part of our belief; it is a gem of Jewish folklore. It is a source of our hope in the dark, and it is a gift of our dreams. And we know why – because these miracles are true.”

It is time for America’s Christians to grow and exercise a faith that includes daily miracles. It is time to believe God for more, not less; time for doing less and believing more. Time for moving aside and allow God to do what He does best—doing miracles. It is time for expecting, for believing, for allowing God to be glorified. Let’s repent and begin to do what God is doing. He has, is, and will always do miracles.

Article #2 What is happening Steve?

November 13, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

The Politics of Lies and Deception

A Political Article in the series, “What is happening Steve?”

I am not discouraged nor do I doubt the wisdom of God. Many of my friends are disappointed with the past election results. They often say it is a ‘bitter & sweet’ election. I think it is exactly what God wanted, a divided Congress. What we now have is a battle—a battle for the future of America.

I do not know the outcome of what will take place over the next few years, but I can speak firmly that God has set up the process for Christians to be blessed and to prosper. Do not be disappointed in who is in power or what they might do. As I have said recently, “Christian brothers and sisters in Christ. Pay off your debts, stay out of debt, and become self-sufficient in all areas of your life.”

President Trump was chosen by God to become our President and it was a fight and struggle to make sure he was elected. I did not want Trump as a President but when God told me He had chosen him to be the next President, I did all I could to make sure God’s will would be done.

Trump’s purpose is to cause America to prosper in order to get ready for future financial catastrophes. You and I must prepare for hard times once his Presidency is over. If you fail to make strong and proper financial and practical decisions, you will place yourself in situations that will cause your faith to fail.

Do not listen to the ‘other side’ of any political debate. Our future is not about having medical coverage or freedom from violence. There is nothing anyone can do to protect you, only Christ can do that. The anti-Christ will offer anything to you in order for you to look to him for everything. You must only ask yourself, “What does Jesus want me to do?”

As I have said before, if you cannot see the ‘mark of the beast’ on people, you need to ask God to open your eyes. I have no doubt that Mrs. Hilary Clinton has the mark of the beast on her forehead. I have seen it often when she talks. She tries to hide it with a smile and soft voice, but it is Satan that controls her life and every decision she makes.

Also, I remember the day when President Obama was speaking on the TV; I was in the other room when he spoke and said that he was born in a particular hospital in Hawaii. As soon as he made that statement, the Spirit of Christ within me said, “That is a lie.” I do not know where President Obama was born, but I do know it was not in that hospital in Hawaii.

We must not walk by sight but by the Spirit of Christ. We must not call ourselves solely a republican or democrat or independent. We must walk in faith and allow God to be our guide. We must begin to move beyond politics and its power over us. Just as Pilot had no power over Christ, we must not allow the power and authority of today’s politics to decide our future and our direction. Our loyalty is to God alone, not a political party.

Character & Soul

The Character of the Month Series

One’s soul, a topic that Christians talk so little about, yet it is central to the coming of Jesus Christ. The final book of the Bible, The Revelation, speaks to keeping one’s soul. Jesus states in the Gospel of Luke, 21:19 “In your patience possess ye your souls.”

Jesus warns us to be afraid of the One who can destroy both the body and the soul, Matthew 10:28. Hebrews 6:19 speaks to Jesus being the anchor of the soul. Jesus said to ‘love God with all our heart, strength, soul, and mind’; we must take careful consideration on doing things that promote the well being of our soul.

The song Alive Forever Amen by Travis Cottrell is one of my favorites that penetrates deep into my soul. I wish there were more songs the Church sings that moves one’s soul. The Bible warns of one’s soul not having enough Biblical knowledge, praise, truth or passion. It is these spiritual qualities within one’s soul that we should depend on when it comes to salvation and steadfastness in order to survive when we are tempted and challenged.

I remember the first time my soul leaped within me. My soul jumped within my chest hitting the inside of my ribcage. I did not know what was happening until God reminded me of the Scripture in Psalms where David speaks of his soul leaping inside him.

When I am looking for character either in others or myself I want to know how ‘one’s soul’ is doing. Are we doing enough to strengthen one’s soul? Are we considerate and kind to our souls? Do we take our soul for granted or are we cultivating aspects of our salvation to include the spiritual growth of our soul?

Want to become a Christian that finds answers to your prayers, have a life of praise that moves mountains, and find insurance of the manifestation of the love of God in your life? It’s time to spend more time refreshing and building up your soul in the faith of Christ. We must tell our soul to rejoice, bless, thirst, and to seek the Lord and worship His Holy Name. This is what David did (Psalm 104:1) and I have done also. It’s time for true ‘soul worship’ to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit…may my soul magnify the Lord!
