Living a Lie, becoming a lie

#3: America ‘Hanging in the Balance’ a Biblical Warning!

Being a Lie and Living in a Culture of Lying

Lying in America seems to be the norm. Lying takes place all around us to the extent we just ignore the consequences of lying, but God takes notice and the Bible says there are consequences for our lying or being a lie.

Satan only knows and is only capable of lying. He wants you to accept his lies to the extent of becoming a habitual liar also. Once Adam and Eve accepted Satan’s lies, they lost everything good and wholesome. God’s actions state that all lies have consequences.

I asked a friend who lies to you more each day Satan or the US Government. His answer was quick and easy, “US Government.” Anyone can become a liar just like Satan. We accept lies so readily in America, that we find ourselves unable to distinguish between a lie and the truth.

People often rather believe in the lie being told them—it is easier to accept the lie than face the truth in any given situation or conversation.

We lie to each other usually for some sort of gain, such as money, fear of being caught for doing wrong, and/or for self-esteem issues.

When we lie to ourselves—we become a lie and want others to accept the lie we project about ourselves. The ‘Transgender Movement’ is a good example of becoming a lie. America is so full of lying it was easy for this movement to work its way into the fabric of American society. One cannot become another sex just because they want it to happen, just like I cannot become anything else by wanting or thinking or acting like another creature. I am a human being, and my birth sex designates what sex I am. It cannot be changed through ‘willpower’, medical procedures (the medical field would like us to believe this lie), or acting and dressing in a different manner.

If one lies to others, this is wrong in American society and Biblical theology. If we lie to ourselves this is also wrong the Bible says. Lies are lies no matter who you tell the lie to or for what motive—they are always wrong.

To say ‘there is no God’ is a lie, and to say ‘Christ is not for real’ nor is He God’s Son is also a lie. Satan is the father of these two lies; in fact, he is the father of all lies whether we say them to others, believe and accept them internally, or confess them to ourselves.

Everything that is not “truth” is a lie, no matter what form it takes or to whom it is communicated. As Christians, we should quit lying to ourselves which will destroy our relationship with others and even our own life. Let’s be honest with each other and ourselves. We need to humble ourselves and confess our shortcomings to each other so the Body of Christ can intercede and pray for us to be healed and made whole in Christ. This is the truth and is stated plainly in the Bible. (Saying the Bible is not God’s word or ‘totally truthful’ is another lie Satan would like you to believe—just like the Adam and Eve story.)

Male & Female, are there really any other sexes?

April 12, 2024 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

#2: America ‘Hanging in the Balance’ a Biblical Warning!

Combination of articles written by Pastor Phillip Lee. Phillip begins by quoting: "So, God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female he created them" (Genesis 1:27).

There are 2 sexes. Zero genders and many personalities.

The only Bible verse on “tolerance” is when Jesus WARNS THE CHURCH NOT TO TOLERATE the spirit of Jezebel (Revelation 2:20). "Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet… “Jesus.” (Sound familiar? Yesterday’s article about ‘America standing in the balance’ Daniel chapter 5.)

God’s Word does not change. It does not adapt to culture, it transcends it.

All faithful followers of Christ Jesus are called to a higher standard which requires all faithful followers of Christ Jesus to be discipled in the full, total, and complete Word of God.

Silence, in particular, is undeniably an earmark of a dysfunctional family, because the real problems are never discussed and resolved.

It is imperative that the Body of Christ stand against current trends in today’s society that have and continue to distort human sexuality as God intended and created it.

The devil and his demons work in deception. If we expose his deception, it limits his power and influence.

Ask God to expose these deceiving spirits in the Body of Christ and in our lives. Furthermore, Philip writes, “Same-sex marriage, I-feel-and-therefore-I-am-entitled, men in girl’s bathrooms, the ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis, sexual addiction, pornography epidemic, gender confusion, sexual abuse, sexual identity confusion – why has it and why is it taking the larger Body of Christ to recognize, “Yes, we have a crisis!?”

The truth of the matter is the crisis has existed for decades with the downward spiral beginning with the acceptance of welcoming Jesus into our theology but not into our sexuality. The crisis we have faced and the crisis we continue to face began there, so let’s stop blaming the liberals.

The winds of social change have and continue to blow aimlessly across America with a continued and relentless emphasis being placed upon “tolerance”, which is to be extended to everyone and anyone without limitation and to any and all kinds of sexual expression.

Is there nothing wrong with sex as long as it is consensual? And if there is something wrong, what is it? Does it really come down to a matter of personal taste, of private sentiment, and personal choice? Have we become a nation, a world that gains a sense of purpose and meaning primarily from our sexual desires and behavior?

Today, with many rejecting the Authority of Scripture in matters of faith, practice, and God’s holy boundary lines with regard to sexual expression, clearly what we are witnessing is that without the spiritual, sexuality will always rule and reign supreme.

On every hand, you find those “who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” (Isaiah 5:20)

While there are those still attempting to make The Bible and Christianity socially and culturally relevant by rewriting and redefining biblical standards, I find tremendous comfort and strength in knowing God’s Word remains steadfast from generation to generation. Therefore, it remains crucial that each and every true faithful follower of Christ Jesus understand and embrace “thus saith the Lord” when it comes to God’s divine intent for human sexuality and other issues of our time.

Ultimately, God is not and will not be mocked, and there is no way anyone can legitimately rewrite or circumvent what God prohibits. Anyone choosing to practice any behavior (in any form or to any degree) that God has clearly defined as sin, cannot glorify God and will eventually downward spiral.

But the good news is “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8) no matter how sinister, dark, rebellious, or disobedient our actions or heart may be.

How well I remember my first reading of 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”

What hope and comfort this passage offers. Clearly, according to God, anyone can be an overcomer and cleansed by the blood of Jesus. The Lord Jesus has not changed, nor will He ever alter His Word to accommodate man’s sinful desires, choices, and behaviors.

The reality of an across-the-board crisis of sexual and relational brokenness in the Church and America clearly points to an increasing inability, as the Church and society, to make healthy and moral distinctions. Even those who place a high premium on tolerance are obligated to recognize that matters of various sexual lifestyles now threaten the very values and institutions on which a solid and vital Church and society is built and sustained.

Unfortunately, not every Christian or American is willing or responsive enough to such an obligation. What’s more, they do not want anyone to hold them responsible. Those who have the self-respect to recognize that a person is not reducible to his or her desires or behavior truly exhibit a concern for social justice, personal responsibility, and a true love for this nation which seeks nothing higher than the welfare of people.

When a person’s actions, no matter how sincere, endanger the well-being of the Church and society, criticism and confrontation is both appropriate and necessary. Irresponsible sexual behavior is one of the most destructive realities for the Church and society.

How is it that in choosing to dismiss and disregard a moral compass, we are shocked by the state of our culture? Even so, shocked at what has happened and continues to spread in the Church?

Speaking as someone who was trapped for many years in a behavior and lifestyle, thinking there was no way out, I completely understand how anyone might have difficulty in believing in and receiving God’s forgiveness and restoration.

“But Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8) God remains rich in mercy and remains willing to deliver anyone. “He is forever our great Sin-bearer and the God who forgives.” (Psalm 99:8)

Jesus Christ is the alternative. He addresses the problem of “man limited to self” and provides the way through which we can find fulfillment in God and His people. By releasing us from the dictates of the past, Jesus frees us to live as new creatures.

God’s grace is sufficient because His strength is made perfect in our weakness. He provides a new identity – the center out of which a true sense of well-being can be achieved and enjoyed. As we draw close to Him, we are enabled to reflect His image in our humanity more and more fully.

America is in need of huge and immediate change. I believe the Church should be out front by showing the way to bring it about. If things continue in this wonderful nation as they have, America and the Church will remain adrift without a moral compass.

What must I do?

April 8, 2024 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

#1.5 America ‘Hanging in the Balance’ a Biblical Warning!

The Church is in trouble of losing its candlestick.

The warning God gave to all His churches in the book, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, is upon us. Are we failing God? God believes we can become ineffective and powerless to deter the works of Satan. We are in a battle, ever since Christ came, died, and rose again. We have a job to do, and it is not just existing until Christ returns; we must be like Jesus and continue to do what He asks of us with joy and thanksgiving.

If we are not doing the works of Christ (the same behavior, actions, and works of the Spirit), even greater miracles and healings that He did, we are not doing the will of the Father. In fact, we are not truly believers but ‘make-believe’ or ‘want-to-be’ followers of Christ.

Our failures are the attitudes and positions Revelation warns us not to have. We compromise, we tolerate, and we justify wrong behavior and have accepted sins, ignoring what the Bible says. We do not like to be criticized therefore we ‘water-down’ the Word of God and rather look to having the acceptance of man, even wanting a good reputation. We have become no-good to God. God’s philosophy and teachings are not thought or believed to be absolute. We error as the Bible says, “For not knowing the Scriptures or the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 22:29a)

The next few articles reflect and instruct what we must do, for Christ to return and most of all, to make sure our light is bright for all to see doing the works of Christ no matter what! We need to be more than a person who accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior or having the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the Gifts of the Spirit. We need to spend less time loving the world and more time loving God. God is telling us to “Come” and in the process of ‘coming to Him’ we need to take as many people as we can to walk with us looking to the fulfillment of the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. We cannot do this if we love this world and all the things in the world.

America’s Warning

April 7, 2024 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

America ‘Hanging in the Balance’, Biblical Warning!

God’s judgment is about integrity and righteousness. Wanting forgiveness is always in play and usually the starting point for all Christians, but what you do with God’s grace after God has granted you freedom from your sin is crucial to finding continual mercy and truth throughout one’s life. This is true not only for the individual but for every nation. Our decision to always abide or not abide in God’s truth (His Holy Word) comes with either blessing or curses; we stand in the balance.

Historically America has responded when God called for repentance, and God responded in return with kindness, but that has not been the case for the past 40 years. America was built on the Bible with individuals wanting to live by the truths in God’s Word with a government being built on biblical principles. America was birthed as a nation after the Great Awakening in the 1730s and 1740s through George Whitefield’s preaching. Every town, community, and church was experiencing a revival. This is what America was built on and if we reject the Grace God initially gave to us, only God’s judgment is waiting for us.

California is a perfect example of what is about to happen. When God pours His Spirit upon a specific region and measures the quality and effectiveness of His Grace upon the people living in a state, we must respond in likeness and be grateful to God for His grace. How many revivals or Holy Spirit Movements have taken place within California? There have been many! One can only be amazed as to the amount of the God’s Grace, God has poured out on the people of California. I believe God has shown great mercy and ‘outpourings’ of the Holy Spirit that other places have never experienced. Why? Because God knows what is coming—great judgment. If one would consider all the prophesies and visions of California’s future, every person living in CA would be making plans to leave this state. Soon California will be no more. Its landscape will be changed, reducing the state to an economy and a population to only a fraction of what it is today. Judgment is coming because God says it is! Is America facing the same judgment?

Daniel 5:24-27 says, Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written. And this is the writing that was written, Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin. This is the interpretation of the thing: Mene; God hath numbered thy kingdom and finished it. Tekel; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.” There are many interpretations to this verse, but a simple and truthful interpretation is, “If a person says, ‘you have been weighed, you have been measured and you have been found wanting’. It means that you are not acceptable. That there is something missing to you, your character or what you offer. It is generally a negative statement that you are not good enough.” (various interpretations combined)

The Book of Proverbs has lots to say about doing what is right or wrong. Many verses mention the ‘concept of the balance or scale’. A just balance and scales belong to the LORD, the Bible says; “All the weights of the bag are His concern” Proverbs 16:11. When it comes to how we live and how we do business, God is concerned with how we proceed in integrity, i.e. how we utilize His grace in our lives and the decisions we make.

There is no doubt in my spirit that America is being weighed and is on trial with God. How we respond to God’s truth and respond to His grace is more critical today than ever before. America was not conceived by men making decisions but birthed through prayer and asking for God’s will to be done. If people do not pray, if revivals do not come, if people do not seek God’s will then America will be no more. We are hanging in the balance! The only way to overcome ‘the wanting of the balance’ is to reverse our course and ask for God’s will to be done. Jesus is offering mercy, forgiveness, and grace; do not reject His call to be humble, to pray, to seek His will, and to respond to His grace.

It’s Time to Rejoice!

April 3, 2024 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

You Should Be Rejoicing

Christians should be full of joy, rejoicing each day, and full of anticipation because Jesus is Coming Back! Why you ask? Because everything is falling apart and getting worse.

Mother Nature is in disarray, struggling to stay alive, find food, and proper habitats.

‘Want-a-be Christians’ are leaving their religion behind and rejecting church attendance.

Good has become unfashionable, and evil is now considered right, appropriate, and even good.

Christians are considered ‘the problem’ with society and are often persecuted in multiple nations.

People are choosing to be angry and hateful never offering kindness and patience.

Women hate men more and more, and so men will no longer have anything to do with women. In fact, everyone will hate each other no matter their status or sex.

Money, well, it will soon be a ‘thing of the past’ and no longer used for monetary purposes, and unable to buy anything.

The weather, oh, it will become so unpredictable and volatile that climate change will completely upend the world’s production of food.

Half of the world’s population will die of hunger and living conditions, and this is just the beginning.

Good drinking water will become a ‘thing of the past’ with no solution to this problem.

Forget about finding food and water because your enemy will be your neighbor and you will be fighting everyone who will be trying to take what you have—human life will mean nothing! Killing each other will be ‘the solution’ to staying alive.

It is only then, when churches will no longer be in existence, no one will want to be a political leader because the problems cannot be solved, that the Antichrist will arrive on the scene doing miracles and people will take on the Mark of the Beast worshipping the Devil so they can live. Satan will finally have what he wants—people to worship and obey him.

This is why I am rejoicing! Jesus is coming back, and I get to be with Him forever! I will never cry again nor see evil again. Oh! Happy Day, Jesus has not just washed all my sins away but has destroyed all that is evil by judging the world and all who loved this world.

Jesus Walking Backwards as I Walk Forward

March 24, 2024 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

Fearless and Full of Courage…Jesus Walking Backwards

Christians can fear their future by seeing their past history, the unknown/uncertainty of their future, or their inability to understand what is about to take place and the means to confront their future. Christians will doubt and become hopeless by asking this question, "Do I have what it takes?” without guidance from the Holy Spirit to overcome fear.

We have so many things in our culture to confuse and cause each of us to doubt and live in a state of fear. Walking in the unknown will always create fear and doubt. Knowing what the purposes and activities of God are and responding to these purposes and activities creates great faith and puts you in the driver’s seat of God’s future for you.

My favorite story of ‘fear vs courage’ is Peter walking on the water (Matthew 14:22-33 various versions). Walking on water is easy to do if you have Jesus in front of you and you do not take your eyes off Him (a note from Steve).

Things were going well for Peter as He got out of the boat. Jesus invited him to come to Him and Peter took Him up on the invite. But as things progressed the waves became greater and seemed overpowering; Peter became fearful. The waves are a type of the world—people, circumstances, and obstacles all got in the way. Satan will stir up people to ridicule or laugh at you and circumstances will say “No!”, not to mention the obstacles of not seeing Jesus behind the waves. This is how it works when Satan wants you to fear but God says, “Be of good courage.”

Never allow your personal past or past circumstances to dictate your faith response. When you respond to God’s will make sure you ‘speak out loud’ your request to God, do not allow your brain to try and figure how God is going to do His miracle, and especially do not think about a timeframe for the miracle to happen. The miracles I have received from God, I had to get myself out of the way, and I did not filter or gauge my response to God by using past events, feelings, or failures. I spoke expecting, believed that God was hearing, and knew He loved me no matter my past. This is where miracles come from—I have had many and still today I believe they are just around the corner for me and anyone who dares believe in Jesus Christ.

I ask and walk this Christian lifestyle allowing the Hand of the Holy Spirit to push me from behind, and I keep my eyes on Jesus who is walking backwards as I walk forward so I can always see His face. Fearless and full of courage with Jesus who is always calling out to me to believe in miracles greater than He performed on earth!

Mindless or Faithfulness

March 23, 2024 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

Having the Mind of Christ

Having the ‘Mind of Christ’ operating in one’s life can only be effective if you follow the path to ‘walking by faith’. No faith no Mind of Christ!

The Bible is clear in what prohibits our faith from working or engaging in the purposes and activities of God. There are a few simple steps one can take to increase the activity of one’s faith in response to what God wants to do or promises to do in any given situation. Having the Mind of Christ in your life will help you do the will of God, thereby being called by God “a person of faith”. Want to be a person of faith having your name mentioned with the great people of faith in Hebrews chapter 11, get the mind of Christ?

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men,” Philippians 2: 1-3 KJV.

The word “let” is critical! Let means “choosing, making a decision” is the first step; allowing the mind of Christ to operate in your life. This is an action-step of faith—"I choose, I make a decision” for the purposes and action plans of God to take place. Second step, knowing/believing that it is possible to do the works of God in this world (God’s purposes and action plans). Third step, one must humble oneself. Do not lift yourself up or try to become a somebody when you humbled yourself and became a nobody. If you want a good reputation don’t expect the mind of Christ to work in you. The apostle Paul did not take any glory away from God, he did not take any of God’s glory for himself. Paul only gloried in the sufferings and persecutions he experienced. This is where the Mind of Christ is the greatest and the purposes and activities are manifested in our lives to the fullest—humility.

Let’s move from being mindless to faithfulness—operating with the Mind of Christ alone, giving all glory and praise to Jesus Christ—this is true faith in action!

One’s Soul & A House Undivided

March 22, 2024 WWJWMTD by Steve, the son of John (2SoJ)

A House Divided/A Soul Lost

“And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand” Mark 3:25 KJV. Every person who believes in Jesus Christ knows that Christ is coming back one day, and most believers hope in His coming. When Jesus comes back to take control of what He and the Father created, Christ is not coming back in the likeness of a man nor in humility, but He is coming back with judgment and the wrath of the Lamb. The problem/question for believers is, “Are you ready; are you prepared; do you have a great deal of patience?”

I often run into Christians who are still deniers without a ‘Divine Future’. They cannot accept the Bible as being totally correct or truthful. They lack love, by expressing their hate for whatever, and become more excited about politics than what God is doing. They are Christians who are dead on the inside—their souls do not have hope or righteousness or vision for the future. We must protect our souls in the last days. Jesus said, “To love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.” King David told his soul to rejoice in the Lord and not to be quiet. It is our soul that needs to come to the forefront in our lives, and we must begin to love, serve, and worship God with all our souls! One cannot begin to believe in God if you do not let your soul respond to who God is, what He has done, and what His plans are for you. You have no future without your soul acknowledging Jesus Christ and loving Him to the fullest.

I believe the Bible speaks to how to operate in having your soul connect to God and that process requires forgiveness, repentance, singing to the Lord, and speaking to one’s soul to rejoice in all that God does—thankfulness is a large component.

So, let’s get our souls connected to the Holy Spirit by living in a constant daily lifestyle of repentance, rejoicing, and thankfulness. Without our souls loving God we all fall short of loving God and doing His will. This is a house (your personal-physical house/body) that is not divided but in unity with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in the Body of Christ/His Church. Get a united Body of Christ, one house at a time by including one’s soul in the process.

For my friends

Morning,

If you have not listened to or purchased the newly released musical album by Katy Nicole, Jesus Changed My Life (Deluxe Edition) you need to! The album ‘Blows Me Away’!

I have not heard an album this good since the Jesus Movement days in the 70s. Song #13, Jesus, Thank You (Deluxe Version) is my favorite, but it is hard to choose.

Steve
