Looking for Character

October 27, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

How to Identify a Person of Character

It is not easy to identify a person of character. Often we hide who we really are—we know our flaws yet we want people to like us. Unscrupulous individuals have fooled me many times in my life.

I developed this ‘simple rule’ when it comes to evaluating people—“I make up my own mind about people.” I do not decide the worth of a person based on what others tell me, what the media says, or if they are related to a friend or family members. In short, I decide; I do not accept some else’s opinion.

I am really looking for these qualities in a person’s character: one, their acceptance of God’s rules—is their belief system of right and wrongs in alignment with the Bible; two, are they a person of compassion—are they a person of legalism or a person of sincerity and able to forgive; and three, are they constantly promoting themselves or are they humble enough to give credit to whom respect and honor is due.

If I find these qualities in a person, I can begin to trust them with a task, responsibility, or my friendship. If I have a friend who loses any of these qualities, I eventually remove them from my ‘friends list’. I cannot change people; only God can give people a new heart and a right spirit. To love people like Jesus loved people, first, we must see people like Jesus saw people.

Today, there are many Christians that do not have these qualities—they are “sheep in wolves clothing.” These Christians are selfish, liars, and full of jealousy. In the last days, we must not allow Christians to be Christians just because they say they are religious—the Book of Revelation speaks to this end.

All of us should constantly and consistently work on having the Bible as our moral guide, offer compassion liberally, and seek to promote others rather than ourselves. This is what Jesus would want me to do and be.

Instructions & Preparations

October 25, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

A Reminder of What’s to Come

There are plenty of books that reference the Second Coming of Christ. People have been guessing for over 2,000 years when Christ will return and what will take place. Mankind wants to know if the Revelation of John is correct and when its predictions will begin.

The Bible tells us to be looking for Christ’s return; His return is upon us. Yet, there is a warning that you will not know the time, season, or day of His return. Only God the Father knows when that will happen. God is not going to share that information with us. But, we can see the signs of His coming the Bible says. Things are getting worse and all of creation does show signs of slowing down and growing old. Our world is at the ‘end of its rope’ and there is ‘little to nothing’ that man can do to undo what God has promised will take place over the earth.

I do not know the time of Christ’s return but I can be prepared. Revelation and the teachings of Christ in the Gospels give me hope and wisdom in how to get ready. I believe His return is just around the corner. Will I still be alive when Jesus returns—I do not know, but if I am not watching, not preparing, and not doing my best to help others then God’s judgment, not His salvation, is waiting for me.

This is what I believe:

· The Revelation of John has been unfolding since the moment Christ ascended into heaven.

· That Jesus’s teachings on the end-times in the Gospel are the clearest biblical information for us to understand what is to come.

· What now is taking place on the earth will never get better—things will only get worse.

· We will never know when Christ will return but this should never stop us from waiting and preparing for His return.

· There are common sense things we can do to prepare and help others and ourselves for devastating and destructive times (read instructions below).

· Patience and wisdom will be the only two qualities that will keep one’s soul and spirit in the last days.

· We must learn how to pray, memorize portions of the Bible, become dependent on the Holy Spirit to sustain us, and not fail in our love for God. God warns about loving family, friends, and things of this world more than Him in the last days.

The Lord told me two years ago that He was bringing “8 no 10 years of prosperity to America.” This has already been taking place. You must do these things during this time of prosperity: get out of debt—stop living off of credit; become self-sufficient—educate oneself so you can fix all kinds of items; and make sure you have things repaired or new enough to last for about 8 years after this time of prosperity. As it was with Joseph in Egypt (7 years of prosperity and 7 years of prosperity) so it will be with America (8 years & 8 years). We must be prepared and be able to help others that will be in need. So let’s be faithful and get ready. The wisdom of God demands it; Jesus instructs us.

Only 14 Days of Prayer Left

October 23, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

God, Are You Listening?

A prayer of David

All of us have said this statement to God, “God are you listening to me?” There are times when I pray a short phrase and I have my request immediately and other times I feel like I am pounding on the doors of heaven and God just is not opening His doors to me. Here are some suggestions to receive what you are asking God for.

When my prayer life is running into problems I turn to the Bible—I often pray prayers that King David wrote about in Psalms. One of my favorites is Psalms 69 verse 13. “But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of your mercy hear me, in the truth of your salvation.

I realize that Satan is hindering my prayers for God’s will to be done. So I remind God of His promises and my position in Christ. I come to God not in confidence alone but in my dependence on His mercy and the truth of His salvation for me. It is always acceptable to approach God through the redemption of Jesus Christ—Christ is the door to God who is in heaven.

We must realize and affirm that prayer is a battle for God’s will to be done and God’s judgment must accompany our requests and supplications for God to act in history. That is why David continued in verses 14 through 36. These verses are the details of the prayer mentioned in verse 13. It is time to pray the prayers of victory and God’s love for His people. “Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. 15 Let not the flood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth on me. 16 Hear me, O LORD; for your loving kindness is good: turn to me according to the multitude of your tender mercies. 17 And hide not your face from your servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. 18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of my enemies. 19 You have known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: my adversaries are all before you. 20 Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. 21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. 22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. 23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake. 24 Pour out your indignation on them, and let your wrathful anger take hold of them. 25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents. 26 For they persecute him whom you have smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom you have wounded. 27Add iniquity to their iniquity: and let them not come into your righteousness. 28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous. 29But I am poor and sorrowful: let your salvation, O God, set me up on high. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. 31 This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that has horns and hoofs. 32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God. 33 For the LORD hears the poor, and despises not his prisoners. 34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moves therein. 35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. 36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.”

There are just 14 days of prayer left to complete the 50 Days of Prayer Challenge.

1. We must pray for the Presidency of the United States and ask God to give Mr. Trump the 3rd Chapter of Psalms. We must be asking for our President’s protection and God’s righteous judgment upon his enemies.

2. Twenty days left of the challenge of 50 days of prayer for 51 Capitals. We must be asking God to send the Holy Spirit to move over and in our State and National Capitals. If we would pray God would begin to heal our land.

3. Lastly, let’s pray that all those who have the calling and spirit of the ministry of Elijah and Elisha to pray for God to move over our nation. It is time for God’s Spirit to be poured out like heavy rain and the flooding of God’s Spirit upon America through repentance, righteous, and great judgment.

Just 14 days to complete the challenge; pray Psalms 69:13-36.

Without Ever Stopping

October 17, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

God’s Command–Without Stopping

Jesus told His disciples to pray. He said the Spirit is willing but the body is weak. Jesus wanted His disciples to persevere and always be prepared to do the will of God. Today, it has never been so important to pray and contend that God’s will be done.

Paul said, “I pray more than you all.” He prayed more than the whole group’s time in prayer. Paul is saying that prayer is probably the most important attribute of a Christian that wants God to move in any given situation.

God says in the Book of Revelation, the revelation of Jesus Christ, that God never forgets any of your prayers—they are always remembered by God and kept in heaven forever. So we must pray without stopping—this is the command of God.

There are just 21 days of prayer left to complete the 50 Days of Prayer Challenge.

1. We must pray for the Presidency of the United States and ask God to give Mr. Trump the 3rd Chapter of Psalms. We must be asking for our President’s protection and God’s righteous judgment upon his enemies.

Character building for the busy person

October, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Growing Character in the Busy Person

Character Building for the Month Series

I call this the ‘Ten Minute Schedule’. A person of character should make connecting with Jesus part of your daily routine. This strategy is simple but effective. If you are really busy (most of us are), you might only do this once in your day, but if you can spare the time—three or more times a day and you will begin to grow in the Lord more than you ever thought possible.

The 10-Minute Schedule (dedicated to my friend Stephen P.)

One minute being thankful. Give thanks for your spouse and kids, extended family members, friends, organizations, events that took place and anything else that you are grateful for. Say individual’s names out-loud, be specific and do not fail to give God thanks for who He is and what He has done for you.

Two minutes praying for forgiveness, protection from what you do not see or realize, and deliverance from evil in every form. Remember Chapter 1, 3 & 121 of Psalms. (To be quick to repent and sincere in asking for forgiveness is critical for every believer.) Sin left unchecked is like cancer that continues to eat away at our soul and spirit.

One minute asking God to order your steps and plan your life. Always and I say always expect God to answer your prayers. If there is one thing most Christians fail at it is expecting God to move or reply back to you while you pray. Give God a moment to reply to you—to talk back to you. Expect Him to answer immediately or sometime during your day. God likes to talk so learn His voice when He talks to you.

Three minutes listening to the Bible being read to you. I like CDs because I can rewind or skip verses quickly and/or concentrate on a particular verse. I like it when the Bible is coming into my heart through my ears. My soul responds better to God’s Word when this happens. I learn more, receive more and change more when the Bible is read to me.

Three minutes listen to Christian music. Music that is based in worship and praise. Music that mentions the names of God, specifically Jesus, and focuses on who God is and what He has done. Don’t’ forget to sing-a-long. Your mouth needs to praise God, not just your thoughts.

So try the ‘10-minute schedule’ for a better life with Jesus—you’ll like it!

Don’t ever…

October 9, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Don’t! Not Now, Not Ever!

God is reminding me, “Do not come down from the wall!” A watchman must stay the course, fulfill the calling, and be vigilant and determined. He is to warn the church, the people of God in his nation, to never give up and “fight the good fight of faith.”

Jesus said in Matthew 11:12, “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subject to violence, and the violent lay claim to it (or take it by force).” Often this verse is misinterpreted as if violent worldly people can take hold of the Kingdom of Heaven. Nothing is farther from the truth. What Jesus is saying in reference to John the Baptist is that only those who fight the good fight of faith can lay hold on the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a battle—God’s rule and Kingdom comes to fulfillment through the battle between good and evil. The world fought against John the Baptist’s message of the Coming of Christ and it is no different today, with the Body of Christ proclaiming that Christ is coming back in glory to rule over the earth forever.

If one is weak and afraid then you will never show up to fight in any of God’s battles. Without being dressed in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) you will never be worthy of the salvation of Christ. I can lay hold on the Kingdom of Heaven only by fighting the good fight of faith.

What is the fight of faith? It is knowing what the will of God is and using all the gifts and fruits of the Spirit to fight against darkness by doing and establishing God’s will, His promises and action plans, on earth. We do this not for our glory or recognition but for God’s glory alone!

This is why we pray. Do not give up. Continue the 50 days of Challenge. Continue to…

1. To pray for the Presidency of the United States and ask God to give Mr. Trump the 3rd Chapter of Psalms. We must be asking for our President’s protection and judgment upon his enemies.

2. Take the challenge of 50 days of prayer for 51 Capitals starting this week. We must be asking God to send the Holy Spirit to move over and in our State and National Capitals. If we would pray God would begin to heal our land.

3. All of you who have the calling and spirit of the ministry of Elijah and Elisha you need to be praying for God to move over our nation. Starting on the East Coast and continuing to the West Coast. It is time for God’s Spirit to be poured out like heavy rain and flooding upon America. It will happen if you have passion and expectation, looking to God to fulfill His promises.

Stand on the wall! Be faithful in your house! Watch over the people of God! Pray always!

Less than 30 days to complete the challenge.

Forgiveness, Blessing & Judgment

September 30, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Forgiveness, Blessing & Judgment

I am sure you have been following the U.S. Senate hearings and the controversy concerning Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Whenever God’s will is in play, Satan is not far behind working havoc and every evil deed.

I am offering wisdom for God’s people during this time. As Kavanaugh’s daughter said, “Daddy, we must pray for her (Ms. Ford),” so we all must pray. Here is what every Christian should be praying.

Pray that Kavanaugh’s enemies will be blessed, as Jesus said we must do, “But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully use you, and persecute you;” Matthew 5:44.

Pray also that Brett, his family, and every Christian forgives those who have injured the judge, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” Matthew 6:14.

Pray for God’s judgment—that the fear of the Lord will be proclaimed so wisdom will be upon all the Senate’s proceedings and testimonies. As Proverbs says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” Proverbs 9:11.

I hope you are praying the 51/50 days of prayer. If not, begin to exercise what God is saying to the Church to do in these days.

Pray for the Presidency of the United States and asking God to perform His will through Mr. Trump.

Pray during the 50 days of prayer for 51 Capitals. We are asking God to send the Holy Spirit into our State and National Capitals.

Pray for all the Elijah(s) and Elisha(s) to ask God to raise His cloud out of the sea and pour God’s rain down upon America from the East Coast to the West Coast—rain which we cannot contain.

“If my people will humble themselves and pray…”

A Word for America

September 23, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

A Word From Australia

This is from Lana Vawser Ministries. She is in Queensland Australia. She is an Australian and her prophetic ministry is worldwide. You can read more about her and her ministry on her website. I was sent this article from a friend and it would be good to read the complete prophetic word (read it on her website).

I believe what Lana is saying is true, but what I find disappointing is that it comes from an Australian, not an American. Are we so poisoned by our media and lack of faith that takes someone living outside America to believe and hear what the Lord is saying. Let’s begin to hear what the Spirit of God is saying!

I HEARD THE LORD SAY “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, GET READY FOR ANOTHER MAJOR DEMONSTRATION OF MY POWER”

by Lana Vawser Ministries

Recently I heard the Lord say “United States of America, get ready for another major demonstration of My power.”

Instantly I saw a huge whirlwind of the Spirit of God building momentum and coming towards the nation. This whirlwind was the whirlwind of acceleration and major demonstration of the power of God being released. As I am watching this whirlwind it was coming with a specific purpose, it was coming to “usher Him in”. It was coming to usher in the King of Glory (Psalm 24) and to release major demonstrative moves of His power across the nation.

As I am watching this take place I hear these words booming so loudly in the Spirit “EVERY CORNER OF THE NATION SHALL SEE MY POWER!” It was such a strong decree that the power of God was going to be demonstrated in such a significant way that ALL WOULD SEE. Not just in one place, not just in a few places, but the Lord’s heart is to demonstrate His power and to show Himself as strong. (The full article is on her website.)

Let’s continue in Prayer: pray for the Presidency of the United States and asking God to perform His will through Mr. Trump, continue the 50 days of prayer for 51 Capitals (We are asking God to send the Holy Spirit into our State and National Capitals), and Pray for all the Elijah(s) and Elisha(s) to ask God to raise His cloud out of the sea and pour God’s rain down upon America from the East Coast to the West Coast—rain that we cannot contain.

Have you heard?

September 20, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Have You Heard

Have you heard about the so many good things happening? I keep getting emails about what God is doing—it’s exciting. Your prayers are working. Yes indeed, prayer changes things! Whenever we humble ourselves as a little child and cry out to our Father in heaven, things begin to happen.

So keep praying and watch what God will be doing next. During this time of 50 days of prayer, do not give up or become complacent. God has asked us to pray specifically for three things: be faithful, be determined, be humble, and be a watchman.

Get ready for the impossible and keep praying & watching for God.

Pray for the Presidency of the United States and asking God to perform His will through Mr. Trump.

Continue the 50 days of prayer for 51 Capitals. We are asking God to send the Holy Spirit into our State and National Capitals.

Pray for all the Elijah(s) and Elisha(s) to ask God to raise His cloud out of the sea and pour God’s rain down upon America from the East Coast to the West Coast—rain which we cannot contain.

I want you to be encouraged and continue to pray. Want change; want God to be glorified—just pray!

Get ready for the impossible

September 13, 2018 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Get Ready!

A prophetic testimony of promises

You better get ready church. You have never seen before what God is about to do in America. You will not be able to explain it. If you try to tell others what God is about to do, they will not believe you. What you experience will make the Azusa Street Revival seem like ‘an afterthought’.

You better get ready church. You will experience the presence of God never thought possible. God will be showing up in places and doing wonders that you could only dream about.

Today’s apostles will begin ministries within our many and diverse cultures no one thought possible. Prophets will outrun the king’s horses and challenge our political leaders to do God’s will. Evangelists will be carrying the ‘fires from heaven’—their words will move our hearts to cry and praise God at the same time. Pastors and teachers will heal our land with their actions of love and words of hope, never seen or heard before in our land.

Get ready church and begin to expect the impossible…Christ has risen and He is visiting our land. I will be praying for you as you pray these prayers:

1. Praying for the Presidency of the United States and asking God to give Mr. Trump the 3rd Chapter of Psalms. We must be asking for our President’s protection and judgment upon his enemies.

2. Accepting the challenge of 50 days of prayer for 51 Capitals. We are asking God to send the Holy Spirit into our State and National Capitals.

3. All the modern day Elijah(s) and Elisha(s) praying for God to move over our nation. Starting on the East Coast and continuing to the West Coast. It is time for God’s Spirit to be poured out like heavy rain and flooding upon America.

The church has been holding God back from moving in our land, but that is about to end.

Get ready church…this is what Jesus would want us to do—to proclaim God’s Trinity over America from coast to coast.
