Faithless news is fake news

All Roads Lead Through Jericho #2

Faithless news is fake news

The new series, All Roads Lead Through Jericho, is for all Christians. No matter who you are or what your relationship is with Jesus Christ, all of us are on a spiritual journey, and we all will travel through our own spiritual Jericho.

We hear a lot about ‘fake news’ lately. Lies are throughout society and humans love a lie rather than hear the truth—this is a biblical truth. The Bible says in many of its books that ‘people will love lies and gather around individuals that tell lies’.

Lies and faith run in conflict with each other. One cannot be a person of faith and be willing to listen to lies (fake news). In fact, if you hold to faithless news then it is lies (or fake news) you are responding too.

Remember, All Roads Lead Through Jericho when it comes to your walk with the Lord. You know the story, the children of Israel leaving Egypt and walking into the Promised Land. This was no easy task and the children of Israel were complaining, fighting with Moses, ignoring God’s command, and/or generally sinning along the way. They wanted it easy and on their terms—they did not want to go through Jericho.

When they got to the promise land ‘spies were sent out’ to survey the land and ten of the twelve said that, “We cannot enter the land because of the giants in the land” while two of the spies, said, “It is a land flowing with milk and honey and we can take the land.” (Numbers chapters 13 & 14—a great read.)

We all have this choice for whatever and whenever God talks to us or takes us in our walk with Him. We can believe in either ‘faith statements’ or believe in the ‘fake news reports’. It is a power play of ‘faith news vs. fake news’. You and I cannot get to Jericho unless we are ‘people of faith’. (Isaiah 53:1, "Who has believe the Lord’s report?”)

We cannot reach our destination without faith. We cannot walk around our enemies and shout in praise without faith. We cannot see the glory of God working His will without faith. We cannot do anything with Christ without faith—that is just how it is.

I will say it again, “Faith is how you respond to God—it is your response to God.” We either believe who God is and what He says about Himself or we do not. You either have faith or you do not—you have a mustard seed of faith or you do not. It is not about how ‘much faith you have’ but if you choose God’s direction and His words for your life.

I choose God! I believe in God! Whenever God speaks, I respond to Him. I am then a person of faith. I do not allow what I see or how I feel to interfere with what God is asking of me, especially if it is contrary to His requests or words or action plans.

Not only do I want to make it to my promise land, my mountain, my eternal destination, but I want to do this with ‘shouting for joy’, winning the battle against all that is from the evil one, and having God say, “Well done faithful servant.”

I listen to words of faith not fake news—words of unbelief. It is God who knows the way (for He is the way) and how to fight (because His angels fight for me) and when to shout (His timing is my joy & strength). It is just that simple; I choose Him and He responds back to me calling me a person of faith. Yes, my faith changes everything and God is pleased with me when I choose Him. The Bible says, “Without faith a person does not please God” and “God has given to everyone a measure of faith.”

You can choose Him. He has given you the ability to choose Him—have hope in knowing the truth—faithful news!

Angels among us, part 2

February 5, 2016 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Supernatural Character #2

Building Character of the Month Series

Since I missed January’s Character of the Month’s article, I am doing a follow up on February’s Character of the Month, Supernatural Character. As I previously said, God creates supernatural character in all of us. In many of us it is different yet all of us have various character traits in common. God wants each of us unique yet in unity.

Here are some questions that can be added to the previous list of character traits:

ü Do you give warm hugs and soft kisses liberally?

ü Do you cry with those who have a broken heart or are struggling to find forgiveness from God?

ü Are God’s angels your best friends? (This is my focus character trait for all of us.)

My friend, Dave Hauser, who has written articles for my blog sent me this story about an angelic encounter. I must admit I do not see angels but I certainly feel them whenever they get close or in the same room with me. Everyone is different and Scripture proves this to be the case. My hope for each of us is to be able to respond and identify in some way when angels are sent your way to minister to you. We need to be looking for God’s angels each day—expecting their ministry to us. Here’s the story:

The other day in our prayer group, one of our leaders shared what I would call a very Supernatural Experience that she had this week. I would first like to share that she is working on her Doctorate at a prestigious university and is part of our teams, which pray for the sick. Because of our relationship with her and being part of our staff I know that she is not given to hyperbole.

She shared with us that she was late for a meeting, and had tried to cancel that meeting. She was about 25 minutes late, but they still wanted to meet. When she went down to the car she saw a man who was looking in a trash bin for what appeared to be something to eat. Even though she was late for the meeting she felt impressed to offer him a banana and a bag of nuts she was carrying.

When she called out to him, he turned around and was covered in light emanating from his being. Immediately she knew it was an angel. She began to weep, as he graciously received the food from her hand. Her response was she was without words and didn’t know what to say. She turned her back for a moment and when she turned back looking once more in his direction he had completely disappeared.

She asked God what this encounter was about and she felt she heard the Lord say to her that there are two things I’m looking for in my children. One is to obey promptings of the Spirit even when it is not a convenient time, and to always remember the poor in our midst.

I have probably not told this story adequately, but as she shared it we were all moved with tears about this encounter. (by Dave Hauser)

With visitations from angels, there is always a ‘time factor’ and ‘a required response’ on our part. Make sure you claim your blessing during or after any visitation from angels. Your response is ‘an action of faith’. Faith is always the desired action God is wanting. With boldness let’s approach God and His will for our lives—we are entering a ‘time for angels in our mist’…expect this in abundance during the next few years.

100 days of prayer #3

100 Days of Prayer & Intercession

First 100 Days Article #3

1.31.17 Day 12 of 1st 100 Days

President Donald Trump has now appointed nine members to the White House, each of whom profess publicly to be Christians and it appears all the Muslims will be gone.

1. Vice President Mike Pence who has previously said, “My Christian faith is at the heart of who I am” and “I’m a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order."

2. Reince Preibus, Chief of Staff, who has previously tweeted "Christ’s sacrificial work provides an example for us all, and we join with the Psalmist in saying ‘You make known to me the path of life.’"

3. Attorney General Jeff Sessions (who is a Sunday school teacher at his family’s church), and

4. Housing and Urban Development’s Dr. Ben Carson, who believes that God spoke clearly to him that Trump would be President.

5. Education’s Betsy DeVos, a Christian committed to bringing God’s ‘Kingdom’ through schooling.

6. Then we have Secretary of State Rex Tillerson,

7. EPA’s Scott Pruitt,

8. CIA’s Mike Pompeo (whose family attends Eastminster Presbyterian Church),

9. Ambassador to UN Nikki Haley. They are all professing Christians! The number of believers in the upper echelons of the Trump administration is quite incredible!

Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned, as it were, with salt, so that you may know how you should respond to each person. (COLOSSIANS 4: 6) We have ignored one of the first rules of engagement: Never make a frontal assault on a superior force. Caught off balance, we tuck our tails between our legs and retreat — maybe for good. One of the truest signs of maturity is the ability to disagree with someone while still remaining respectful. Dave Willis.org Proactive Coaching, I’d like to suggest a “more excellent way.”

Jesus said “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” Matthew 10: 16 Even though there is real warfare going on, our engagements should look more like diplomacy than D-Day. This approach trades more on friendly curiosity — a kind of relaxed diplomacy — than on confrontation. Tactics, literally “the art of arranging,” focus on the immediate situation at hand. They involve the orderly hands-on choreography of the particulars. Often a clever commander can gain the advantage over a larger force with superior strength or numbers through deft tactical maneuvering. The tactical approach requires as much careful listening as thoughtful response. This method resembles one-on-one basketball more than a game of chess. There are plans being played out, but there is constant motion and adjustment. Koukl, Gregory. Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions By Otis and Sue Davis

Character & Angels Among Us

February 2, 2016 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

Supernatural Character

Building Character of the Month Series

God creates supernatural character in all of us. I do not think of myself as supernatural—definitely not a superman—but God sees us differently.

Here are some questions one needs to answer in order to identify how much super-character one has:

ü Do you laugh often? Are you able to find humor in yourself and laugh at your faults?

ü Is Sunday the only day you connect with God or are you always finding ways to connect with Him during your workweek?

ü Do you think of yourself first or are your family and friends first when it comes to spending your money and time?

ü Do you love animals and treat them well? (Animal lovers live longer, are happier, and learn how to treat individuals better than themselves.)

ü Do you share what you have in your wallet when you notice a homeless person in need?

ü Do you listen? Do you read? Do your pray? Do you smile?…often!

ü Are God’s angels your best friends?

So often when it comes to angels and Christians interacting there is a disconnect…this is not healthy for one’s spiritual growth or physical needs.

We are now entering a time (10 years) of God’s angels working in the affairs of men and women. Yes, it is now ‘The Time of Angels’—a decade of angles ministering to us. We must begin to be on the ‘lookout’ for angels as the Book of James suggests.

First, may I encourage you do a quick study in the Bible regarding how angels blessed and ministered to people of faith. Secondly, read a book of true stories of how people interacted with angels, many times they did not know that angels were helping them till the interaction was over. (There are many books out there. Billy Graham wrote two great book on angels that cover both of these requests…"Angels", an older book, and a more recent book called, "Angels, Angels, Angels, God’s Secret Agents").

We must be prepared to receive from angels and respond to their requests. God wants a person’s character to reflect one’s willingness and ability to recognize and agree with ‘what & how’ His angels are focusing on and giving assistance to us.

The Four Options of Dancing My Way into Heaven

February 1, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

All Roads Lead Through Jericho

An introduction to hope, freedom and dancing

I am beginning a new series of articles. These articles will bring you hope and wisdom, and they will offer you insight into having the ‘mind of Christ’ and yet finding ‘the freedom’ Jesus has always wanted you to have in the Holy Spirit.

The name of this new series is All Roads Lead Through Jericho. My plan is that this will be the most creative and challenging set of ‘thinking-articles’ I have written to date. There purpose is to offer you hope that you can count-on and aspects of God you have not considered before.

When God spoke to me how every Christian must go through Jericho, I became excited and yet amazed how God orchestrates His will and His grace to His people. I hope you will share these articles with others. My blog’s following has grown so much, I decided to offer more venues in order for others to connect to my writings.

You now have four options to choose from in order to receive and read my articles:

One, you can receive an email from me (just send me your email address and I will place you on my email list); two, go to my blog, wwjwmtd.com; three, connect with me through Facebook, Facebook.com/wwjwm2d; or through Twitter, Twitter.com/wwjwmtd.

Also, sometime in the near future, you will be able to find me on YouTube. My YouTube channel will be set up for vLogs. I am excited about what God is directing me to do and the support I have from family and friends.

My hope is that you will grow in Christ and the power of His resurrection. That you will be knowledgeable of His will for your life and that you will take as many people with you to heaven.

These are exciting times we’re living in. It is time for expressing hope and demonstrating boldness of action, for wisdom and power to fight against the evil one, and for righteousness and making your robe white in the blood of the Lamb. Yes, it is time for dancing as David danced—What would Jesus want me to do?

Politics and Christ’s Return

January 27, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

The Politics of God

(The Three P’s)

I like to make things as simple as possible. It’s easier for me to remember and communicate any concept. God is into ‘simple’. He has made things easy for you and me to connect with Him. I call it the Three P’s: prayer, praise and prophetic words.

But before I get to what the 3-P’s mean for us today, I must give you ‘my take’ on the recent political situation in America. There is no doubt that the prior presidency was built on lies and pride. The direction of the prior administration was to support the Arab countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia while making America weak in so many ways. We saw this happening with America’s previous administration’s alignment with Muslim thought processes, donations from Arab leaders to politicians, and the effort to marginalize Israel. We are living in the last days and everything points to Jerusalem and the fulfillment of Scripture.

This effort to minimize America’s influence in the world began on day-one of Obama’s presidency up to the very last few hours of his presidency. Satan was using individuals within our administration and state department to hinder the Coming of Jesus Christ and to delay the fulfillment of Scripture regarding Israel. There is no need for me to give you all the details of this reasoning; historical research on your part will draw the same conclusions.

However, I will give you one insight that the Spirit of God gave me. I was watching/listening to the TV from the kitchen while cooking dinner. The news was on and I was not particularly interested in what was being said or talked about. The local news channel was showing a news-clip regarding President Obama’s comments about where he was born (remember the controversy over Obama’s birth place). He stated that he was born in a particular hospital in Hawaii. As soon as the President made that statement, the Spirit in God said to me, “That is not true.” I immediately looked up toward the TV and allowed the Holy Spirit to affirm what God just spoke to me. I do not know where Obama was born, but it was not in the hospital, where he said he was born. I do not care what evidence people think they have or their production of a fake birth certificate—he was not born there.

We are in perilous times! People will do anything to secure power and promote Satan’s agenda. Satan uses leaders in government to do just that. That is why we must exercise the 3-P’s. God has a plan and He wants His son to return and claim what is His own. Everything is a battle between good and evil. There is no middle ground and we must do everything possible to promote and align ourselves with God’s will (His purposes and action plans) for His Son’s return. Here is what must take place over the next 10 years—this is on God’s agenda to get done:

ü America must support Israel in their struggle to believe in Jesus Christ, the building of the Temple, and the peace and prosperity of Jerusalem.

ü America must stand alone and strong, in prosperity and peace, and Christ’s church as a whole and individual believers must exercise their positions in Christ by supporting the new administration in the White House in order for God’s will to be done by our new leadership.

ü A revival is at the top of God’s will for America. We must see this happen! God wants His church to get ready/be ready for what will follow after the next 10 years and the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation and the coming of the Anti-Christ.

ü God wants to move among the Gay Movement with deliverance and salvation. We will not experience deliverance from Satan’s hold on America unless God sends a revival into this group. Do not doubt God! Do not think that God cannot send light into darkness. (This is a command from God in the Book of Revelation.)

ü God wants His church to prosper in America. Church, get out of debt, give to the poor, and strive for unity. It is not a time for fear, for we know that the love of God removes fear from us when we do and seek His will.

None of this can take place without the 3-P’s. If my people would pray and place God’s face before their eyes; repent of your pride and wanting your will to be done through proclaiming the prophetic word; fight against and stand up against evil that is all around you in praising Christ—then and only then will Christ show up with Revival, Prosperity, Peace, and Love. Christ will heal your life, your family, your community, and our America. Let’s allow judgment, salvation and God’s love to start with us. Even so Lord Jesus, come Lord Jesus.

100 Days of Prayer & Intercession

Article #2

Set the Tone—Inauguration Day for 45 President Donald Trump after more than a year of campaigning 26 primary and general election debates and countless press conferences, attack ads, victory speeches, public apologies, and early morning twitter rants, Donald Trump’s inauguration was today. He lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by almost 2.9 million votes but won by the Electoral College system in which 2 Texas GOP electors went rogue and did not vote for Trump. Three questions:

o Were our prayers answered?

o Is God’s Hand in this?

o Whom do we put our Trust and Faith in now?

Inauguration Day 1.20.2017–First 100 Days: Scriptures to Pray:

Pray for the kings and everyone who is in Authority so that we can live a quiet and peaceful life in complete godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2.2 Franklin Graham’s Inaugural Prayer. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Matt 24:6 NIV We are in a War of Ideas, but do not be alarmed.

And He will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is his treasure. Isaiah 33.6 NASB He will be the stability of our volatile times. In him is great wealth and true treasure. The essence of true courage is to believe and live in God’s Truth!

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation; in quietness and trust is your strength” Isaiah 30.15 NIV Do these things: 1. Return to the Lord and repent 2. Rest in his salvation and plan 3. Remain quiet and wait calmly 4. Trust and maintain confidence in our Sovereign Lord. We trust whom we know. We must know God to trust him.

God has His plan, as well as the politicians; and we find him reminding them when intoxicated with their own cleverness, that He also is wise (Isa.31:2). In him we can be at peace, even in the rushing tides of politics, dropping anchor deep in his promises: that God has His own law and time for everything. Bring our conduct into harmony with his reasonable and gracious plan. The Expositor’s Bible

"Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: (7 steps of Faith)

1. Build houses and live in them.

2. Plant gardens and eat their produce.

3. Marry, have sons and daughters.

4. Help your children marry Godly spouses, have children; increase do not decrease.

5. Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you.

6. Pray to the LORD on its behalf, for its welfare is your welfare.

7. Do not listen to the false prophets for they lie, I did not send them!

Jeremiah 29:4-9 EVS God gave some very clear direction to his worried people in the foreign land of Babylon. It was remarkably practical and down to earth. They were to trust God and keep living life. It is our responsibility to believe and to live in these truths each day; to get up and go to work

I pray for the welfare of our nation, the states and cities where our feet hit the ground, and for our families, for daily Godly wisdom, guidance, and protection for our leaders and members to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure.” Ps 122.6 NIV

I am the true vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:1,5,7,8,11 NASU (Prayers are Underlined) By Otis and Sue Davis

It’s about Israel

January 24, 2017 WWJWMTD by Steve the son of John

The Next 10 Years

This series of articles on the political realm in America is one of importance for everyone, no matter your political position or persuasions. This article came to me from a friend, Jan Britt. She is an intercessor and author. She has just written a book, A Silhouette Unopened, that is a wonderful read—get yourself a copy!

Jan states: “I have just read an article that came to me via MorningStar Journal. It is the most concise explanation I have ever read regarding the Temple, Cyrus, Donald Trump and United States/Russia. It is lengthy but VERY GOOD….I was shouting once I finished it. It is not written in a prophetic overtone. It is written as a historical/Biblical account of what has occurred and what the Word says is coming.”

I have stated often that this past election is not about America as it is about Israel. If we do not pray and repent by asking for forgiveness for our apathy and selfish behavior regarding God’s will and purposes, we will not reap what God is planning to do. Church, begin to cry, begin to ask for God’s will to be done through forgiveness, begin to stand up for Israel—pray for the peace and prosperity of Israel and the church in America. (Jeremiah chapter 12)

Be a person of faith, respond to what God is doing and be quick to repent. God will met you and bless you just as and in the same manner as He met Abraham after the slaughter of the kings. Let’s be faithful together!

Here is the beginning statement in the article, The Destiny of President Trump by Tobias Kreiselmaier. You will be glad you read this! It’s lengthy but so thorough…and helps to explain the prophetic significance of God’s Word, Cyrus and the timely SELECTION of our 45th President…Donald John Trump!

(Click on the link below in order to read the whole article.)

“I remember well how almost twenty-five years ago the Lord started speaking to me about a significant, but often overlooked, character in the Scriptures. Sitting at my desk, I was studying Isaiah and suddenly certain verses started to shine and even levitated above the Bible…”

The Inauguration

Well, the Inauguration is done and the journey begins. My love, for everyone no matter what your political persuasion, goes unabated. This will probably be my last post on this topic.

I started over 2 years ago praying for the will of God to be done in this election. I really liked Ben Carson; I even donated to election committee because of the gentleness of his spirit and integrity. I also like Senator Rubio, he seemed so informed, and a course many others seemed like wonderful sincere people. Eventually it came down to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and a businessman Donald Trump. I could find many reasons not to vote for either of them.

So as a last resort I turned to Prayer, asking God who might be most susceptible to His influence. This is a very difficult prayer, because we all come with out prejudices based on what these candidates have said or not said. It appeared there was great fury in the land, such strong opinions. Many of these opinions I felt; God forgive me if I’m wrong, did not reflect "The heart of the Father." It seemed to me there was very little room for forgiveness, and eventually I was reminded by God, "That with the judgment I judge, I would be judge" Matthew 7:2.

More than anything else, I want to find mercy for myself and others. I am well aware of my own shortcomings. I respected the prophetic voices in the land and what they were saying, but as mature Christian, ‘and I hope God puts me in that category,’ that I would get quiet and listen. I hope I was then and am listening now!

This is what I know for sure! "With the merciful I will show myself merciful." Psalms 18. I also know that "His ways are not my ways." Isaiah 55:9. In Isaiah 55:8 "God lifts up one and brings down another."

This post is not meant to litigate the last 2 years, but merely to suggest that we give Donald Trump a chance, a honeymoon as the Press speaks of, and see what might happen. Can we believe God for His will to be done?

None of us at least I believe may have the full of mind of God, for the Scripture says, "We prophesy in part." I. Corinthians 13:9 One thing I know we can agree on! Can we pray for our leaders, can we pray for God’s visitation on America?
